There's nothing I love more than a Steampunk post! Okay...well, a Goth post too. Okay, okay there's several things I love but anyway as you all know Steampunk is one of the absolute favs!
There's a lil event that just opened recently it's the Mesh Avenue- Sepsteamber Steampunk Event and it runs from the 10th through the 30th so you have some time to go in there and browse around. I know there are several cute things you will love all over and this outfit is one of them! The boots that are available are also so cute. Here's a closie...

I love the detail in these boots. The embroidery is very realistic! Petite Mort is definitely one of the stops you will want to make. Oh and check out the whole sim! It is quite gorgeous with its airships and other little sights to enjoy.

So in case it isn't obvious, I should say that I edited the dress in the top pic to look like it was draped over my knee. Mesh in Second Life isn't friendly enough to work with us like that but I had a picture in mind and I couldn't see it happening it any other way. So there you go!

Full Steam ahead! A Clockwork Spiral is up and rollin'! There are a number of events that make Gia's World tremble with excitement and this is one of them. I always look forward to how themes inspire people. It's like taking a peek into their mind for a moment. The mind you're catching a glimpse of belongs to none other than one of Gia's World favorites (evar) DRBC! Last year, I wasn't yet a full on blogger during this event but I was already madly in love with DRBC. I saw the dress that was going to be featured at A Clockwork Spiral 2013 (which I blogged here!) and I had to have it! So I went there specifically for that dress but came out with bags and bags of goodies! DRBC is mostly vintage, rockabilly and psychobilly but it never stops her from venturing out and taking over other genres as well and I am SO glad for that! Because as we know, I am eclectic as all hell with my fashion! Yep, I'm that selfish, I simply want it all and enjoy doing so!

This years featured dress is also a mind blowing one! It's also pretty awesome to compare the two and see how much DRBC has evolved since then. The dress allowed me to get in storytelling mode and that is my favorite thing about blogging. Putting together an outfit is one thing but laying out a story for it is quite the other!

This event, besides being a place to upgrade your Steampunk wardrobe, decor, etc...is also an event you want to shop at because a portion of the featured items go to The National Kidney Foundation. Designers for this event were given the option to give 100% of their featured items proceeds to the Kidney Foundation or to make two items, both with 50% of the proceeds going to the Kidney Foundation, in either case...it is a great reason to (and completely justifies the spending of L$$$!) have a blast spending money on some amazing things. 

Also don't forget that Cursed events are a bunch of party-hardy people. Haha! That means clubbin' will be had throughout the duration of the event and these parties are ones you will love! Crowd is always pleasant, convos are always interesting, and weird but who doesn't like how weird compliments interesting?! And of course, the music is the best by some of the best music mentors on the grid! Oh, my dearest apologies for not being here to post the 64510449 ideas that have been haunting my mind! Surprisingly enough, bloggers need breaks too. I had a fantasmical week enjoying my RL, that's a good thing. It's like a restart button, also allows for ideas to flow more freely and start fresh. It so breaks my heart to see my fellow bloggers burn themselves out and I don't want to do that to myself either. So thank you all sooo much for being understanding and patient. And....never feel bad about taking breaks from SL. I think too many of us put too much into a virtual life and not enough into our real lives...before you know it, people will exit, people will quit waiting and you won't realize it till it's way too late. SL will always be there, and your true friends in SL will always be understanding. So on to the wardrobe!

Steampunk lifestyle/fashion is just another layer of what makes up me! It is something I have loved since I was a young girl, reading so many novels that touched on it....still, I wasn't quite sure how to explain that part of me to people.

I found a quote that worded it perfectly, “To some, ‘steampunk’ is a catchall term, a concept in search of a visual identity. To me, it’s essentially the intersection of technology and romance. – Jake von Slatt. 

Eudora released some amazing things recently, letting me show off my love for all things Steampunk. Boots and ANOTHER hat...because they did release a hat before but this one is more bomber friendly. I pulled out some of my Steampunk favs from the inventory and came up with this mash-up of greatness!
