I am SO sorry for my delay. My power supply decided to basically give me the middle finger just as I was having so much fun with Saviad and Pose Fair and alll the other things! Even though I ordered one the same night, it still took alll the way until today to arrive. While I was waiting though, I think I got hooked on a lil show called 'Sons of Anarchy'. Done with season 1 already and it's kinda awesome! Don't be surprised if biker pics start popping up all over the damn place in Gia's World!
So I am tossing in a quickie here that I had finished right before my power supply passed away. The awesome chair I am about to fall off of is by Infiniti, another ah-may-zin pose maker in SL. If you're not familiar with Infiniti, you definitely should be. I love the many different poses included in the chair and the many different ways you can play with it. Drama, sexy and everything else! This was just my lil spin on it. Thankfully, TfAtN sent me some purdy thangs to play with from the 'Create your own Tarot' event. “Create your own Tarot” is a series of Secondlife events exploring one theme of the Major Arcana cards in each month. Last months was 'The Fool' and this months is 'The Magician'. So clearly I didn't stay in theme, or maybe I did. Never can tell!

The Ghost of Christmas Past

My dearest apologies for not getting this blog out like daaaaays ago but you see I have a good reason, which will be located on the bottom of this post.
After a lil talk with my friend Anika, I decided that this house was far too great to just feature a few pictures of it here and there, I wanted to do something different.
This house and all of the awesome little knick-knacks in it are by Death Row Designs and are available at the Arcade this December round. Oh ho ho so many things at the Arcade that just made me want to slap the designers lovingly with my lindens. Lol. But this is definitely one of the gacha machines you're not going to want to miss.
With the attention to detail and the nice warmth the little quirky house gives, it's simply a must have for this time of year and one you'll want to put out every Christmas! My favorite part of the house was of course dear old Ebenezer's bedroom. You can just tell how much work was put into all of this. Death Row Designs is a team now and I think they do a damn great job together! They always leave me eagerly anticipating their next project.
So this was my first time in a loooong time playing with video, and then on top of that I decided to get a new program so you might be seeing more videos from me (maybe, no promises! Time permitting!! Gia is a busy busy lady). So be nice as far as judging lol and enjoy my little walk through of Ebenezer's house and I hope it entices you to go snag it and enjoy its warmth this holiday season...before the Ghost of Christmas Past comes to haunt you! Oh my loves, my deepest apologies for not being here for you! But if you know me then I am sure you understand why. Halloween is such a busy time for my little family and right after it is Dia de los Muertos which we have celebrated for many many many generations in our family. Far beyond sugar skulls  and face paints, it is something we hold dear and sacred. From the feast to the clothing we chose to wear for three days straight. Music, altars, photographs, homemade candles, homemade sweetbreads and our family favorites. It's something I am hoping to keep going strong so that generations to come will continue the tradition. So you see? I wasn't ignoring a single one of you, that I promise. 

Of course I will come back to you with DRBC breathing some life back into me, so to speak. 

I had a chance to celebrate a lil bit of my Dia de los Muertos with some friends at The Rubb that always throw the best Day of the Dead bash evar! It is a day long event (literally) and attending their events is almost like attending class. You will want to bring a pen and paper and take note because these people know their music like no other. I always come back from their events searching down artists and buying tunes online! This is the outfit I rocked there that day.

I don't know if when I started blogging I thought it was going to be an easy thing to do...I don't think I did but in any case, I doubt I really knew what I was getting myself into lol. Now don't get me wrong. I love it, I honestly do. Though at times, I seem to put myself into predicaments that I just have to shake my head about....and at times I am blessed to run into several things at one time that fit like pieces to a puzzle. 

This is one of those times. 

My lovely futuristic get-up is by the one and only Frost Kit of FK! Designs. Not new at all to Gia's World, in fact he's one of the ones I admire so much because of his insane talent with texturing! Familiarize yourself with his shop, I promise you will not regret it and while you're doing so, snag this outfit. Oh man, I love it long time! For many reasons. It's a full mesh suit and the body build on it is adorable! From bewbs to butt it will make you a narcissist with your avi. I slapped it together with some newness from A&Y and made a nice mash-up for a cyber femme-fatale!

Full Steam ahead! A Clockwork Spiral is up and rollin'! There are a number of events that make Gia's World tremble with excitement and this is one of them. I always look forward to how themes inspire people. It's like taking a peek into their mind for a moment. The mind you're catching a glimpse of belongs to none other than one of Gia's World favorites (evar) DRBC! Last year, I wasn't yet a full on blogger during this event but I was already madly in love with DRBC. I saw the dress that was going to be featured at A Clockwork Spiral 2013 (which I blogged here!) and I had to have it! So I went there specifically for that dress but came out with bags and bags of goodies! DRBC is mostly vintage, rockabilly and psychobilly but it never stops her from venturing out and taking over other genres as well and I am SO glad for that! Because as we know, I am eclectic as all hell with my fashion! Yep, I'm that selfish, I simply want it all and enjoy doing so!

This years featured dress is also a mind blowing one! It's also pretty awesome to compare the two and see how much DRBC has evolved since then. The dress allowed me to get in storytelling mode and that is my favorite thing about blogging. Putting together an outfit is one thing but laying out a story for it is quite the other!

This event, besides being a place to upgrade your Steampunk wardrobe, decor, etc...is also an event you want to shop at because a portion of the featured items go to The National Kidney Foundation. Designers for this event were given the option to give 100% of their featured items proceeds to the Kidney Foundation or to make two items, both with 50% of the proceeds going to the Kidney Foundation, in either case...it is a great reason to (and completely justifies the spending of L$$$!) have a blast spending money on some amazing things. 

Also don't forget that Cursed events are a bunch of party-hardy people. Haha! That means clubbin' will be had throughout the duration of the event and these parties are ones you will love! Crowd is always pleasant, convos are always interesting, and weird but who doesn't like how weird compliments interesting?! And of course, the music is the best by some of the best music mentors on the grid! There's a new Sheriff in town folks....well not really but that's the theme I had in mind when I got all dressed up. Although heels wouldn't be my first go-to shoes for this case lol, I couldn't resist! L. Warwick has long since been on my top of the top list for 'Kick Ass SL Shoe Makers' and this heel here is no exception! I swear I wanted to just walk around all day nude in nothing but these heels. Till FK! Designs made me the happiest lil chick ever. I saw the male version of this jacket and fell in love with it. I even told him I would tape the bewbs down to wear it! But thankfully, I didn't have to go through all that as he dropped this female version which is just as edgy and versatile in our favor. I could have also used it without pants. But there's something about tight leather or latex pants that are just a win in Gia's World!

Whatever will our futuristic police officers be like? I would hope they're better equipped, better prepared and everything else. I have a certain love for law enforcement....even with the recent events that have been plastered in the news (and are not about to be plastered in Gia's World!) still, what would we be without them? And well, as for the dudes (and of course some of you ladies too!)...if a female officer like this approaches you, I'm sure you'd happily assume the position! <3

I felt safe behind my lil mask due to the current outbreak happening in our world. I may have to get one of these in RL!

I was so in a old school R&B mood today. I don't ever hide the fact that I am eclectic when it comes to my music. I am glad I am. Closing down to one specific genre will only keep you from experiencing music that is amazing. Old school, not too old mind you! I'm saying like 90's r&b was simply put, the shit! So it did infact inspire my post. 

This is another one of my favs from the A6D event. While I don't favor the short short skirts too much, this one had a whole other vibe to it with the hoodie and the dangling black and white chess pattern. So while it revealed a whole lot, I still felt very much in my comfort zone because of the hoodie! Haha, maybe that's just my safe blankie.

So mini rant about 'Fifty Shades of Grey". I did in fact read the first book. I fought to make it through it though. I tried to read the second and maybe got a chapter or so in and called it quits. I was not impressed. Firstly, the thing that bothered me the most was the fact that it was soooo unrealistic! Perfect man, perfect house, car, jet, etc. Ridiculous! Oh, lets not forget he is the CEO of his company at like what? 23? 26?

And her, the typical "I'm ugly because I wear glasses" type of girl. One who pouts and consistently bites her lip and is insecure and who eventually turns into a sex fiend for Mr. Perfect. I suppose it was entertainment for those that need to read sexcapade after sexcapade. Now that's not saying I don't enjoy such things, I'm far from being prudish but, I need a storyline. I need more than just constant sex scenes. That pizza man walking the door better have a darn good reason. *snickers*

Also, I don't like that so many people have linked it to S&M. A person that honestly understands S&M knows that their version of S&M in the book, was not even close. Okay, okay, I could rant for days but I will end it simply with, I don't like it, I'm not anticipating the movie. /endrant.

So, I have a happy mixture of Zibska and A6D, which is still going! I do so hope you've all been there and snagged just everything!

My shoulder armor and collar were some of my favs in the event! And they pretty much rounded out how I wanted to wear them and in what style. They demand such authority and so I thought I should demand it as well. 

I had a blast shooting the outfit at Immersiva. It's another sim I hope everyone has went to by now and enjoyed. Visually it is stunning and the storyline is awesome! (Far better than Fifty Shades! lol)

Oh and the song at the end about melted my heart. Anyway, go visit, enjoy it and let me know how much you loved it!

All The Wrong Moves

Month of Games is up and running in SL. I already made my rounds and, in all honesty when I went, I was expecting to pop in and out but I was intrigued. So many designers participating with so many different styles, UNIQUE styles! Chess, Candyland and Clue are the game themes..and obviously, I'm showing you a lil Chess!
Zibska is participating in it. Although I loved each outfit, I choose the Bishop outfit this time. I won't pretend to know anything about chess either. I have no patience to learn that game. I can only say that marble chess tables/pieces I find to be quite beautiful. I would definitely get one for decoration and maybe, just maybe some day...I would learn to play the game. And so, that is what my photo is based on, something beautiful, making all the wrong moves. More Zibska right around the corner luvies! <3

Dead Apples is participating in this round of We <3 Roleplay and I am loving all over this vampiric skin! Pale and delicate, deadly and gorgeous!  With bloody mouth and non bloody options as well.  All kinds of appliers are available for it and with that being said, it tempted me to play a bit more with my Wowmeh (doesn't that sound dirteh?! lol).
So I found that I love the Wowmeh and hope it comes out better and stronger than before. With so many mesh shapes out there for us, it can be a tough decision, and when that happens ladies...just go ahead and buy them all I say! While usually rounding edges of my SL shape for photos, the wowmeh made it easy on me and so I stayed looking at the pics, trying to find all jagged edges and though I found a couple, it was waaaay less work than on the standard SL body.
The lingerie I have on was a freebie from Dead Dollz, well group gift. The cost to join the group isn't bad at all so great deal there! Especially since it has the Slink/Wowmeh/etc. applier HUD included. Thank you Kiddo for the spoils!
Also my heeeels! If you don't know what the Saturday Sale is, you're missing out! Reign always spoils us on Saturdays with amazing deals on awesome heels and so many other designers participate in the Saturday Sale. Definitely make yourself a part of it. These are deals that us oldies weren't given back in the day so yus, I enjoy them much!

Happy Father's Day!

With such a special day approaching, I thought I would make a special post for some of the greatest men in our lives. (And for some of us, some of the biggest pains in the ass, and also some of the men that have hurt us the most). I will be honest and say that my relationship with my father was certainly rocky. But if anything, I can give him praise for teaching me what a real man is all about. I can give him praises for teaching me to wait for no man to take care of me or spoil me. Do it yourself and do it how you want...because not all men will be able to do that for you and if you rely on them, you will be setting yourself up for disappointment. As harsh as that sounds, I'm not a man hater! I promise. I know there's...a couple (like 3 or 4 :P) rare ones out there that will love, honor and spoil you as much as they can. 

For those men that stand by their women and their families firmly, that insist on busting their arses to provide for their families, that will make you feel special all the time and not just on holidays...that think you are their best friend and being with you and the family is their 'down time'...so many hugs and smooches to you for being ah-may-zing dads! For the guys that step in for the men that step out and love children as if they were their own, you're amazing! 

For the moms that sadly enough have to take on the role as dad, you also amaze me! And keep your heads up dolls...the right one is there somewhere but in the mean time, enjoy life with the babes. They're the ones that show us 100% unconditional love. 

I love the picturesque days of old where mom is home and anxiously awaiting the return of the hubby from a long day at work. The kids are waiting at the table with smiles and dinner is just being placed on the table. It's my own little happy place and so I recreated it with a modern twist with help from some hawt DRBC new releases! So many prints of this adorable dress but when I saw the new release for Suicide Dollz, the sexeh shoes I have on, I knew which dress had to be used!

The tweed coat that the sexay 'Rhett' is wearing is by Fk! Designs...if you're a dude...make sure to grab one. It's definitely a 'must have' for every man in SL. I find it super versatile. Whether you want to dress it up or make it casual, it works!

This was one of the beauty's that I've been wanting to show you. It took me awhile to blog it because the outfit is just so perfect to me and I had a vision in mind and I couldn't simply blog it, I had to wait till I got the vision right. Something so deadly, bloody, evil...but just too beautiful to kill.

You guess who released it, c'mon, I'll wait......that's right! Boudoir! One of the newer ones anyway since they are releasing awesome things back to back here! I just can't keep up with the amazing things. With my preference for all that is dark and macabre, I fell in love with this one. The head piece and staff are beyond words breathtaking. Two staffs mind you. One to carry on your back, or one that is to be held in your hand.

It Is Better to Have Loved and Lost...

World Goth Fair is LIVE! So of course...that would mean Gia starts feeling sick >.< Noooo! I shall fight it off!

I was pretty amazed with The Little Bat  and their coat for World Goth Fair. Super cute! I couldnt wait to put it on and take pics. And it's been awhile since Dead Pool has visited Gia's World so I thought I would send some love in that direction. 

Also...my tummy piercing...I'm pretty much exclusively pierced by Cute Poison. I just havent found other piercings I love as much. Cute Poison is at the Dark Style Fair with more amazing piercings. I will be trying to include another one that I loved soon! 

By the way...not trying to be so 'Oh my goth!' but...I actually do love cemeteries. The calmness there is what I need sometimes. You don't find many people hanging around there and I guess the introvert in me kinda loves that. When people here prefer to go for lake walks, I love the huge cemetery in town. It has paved walkways, there's a little pond in the back and some of the statues are pretty amazing to see. 

Also, there is an inner feud with that quote I used to name this blog post. For the loves I have lost, I sometimes think that saying is ridiculous. But for my true loves, family members..that I have truly lost, that have passed on...I think that quote is so true. I would rather have had them for the time I did, then never had them at all. My heart is always with them <3
