A Fantasy Frozen In Time

My goodness! Darn that Gia for taking her sweet ass time to get back to SL! ;) My apologies for the absence luvs. October, November, December are busy for me, like so many other people. But even beyond that, our family was just tossed around in a series of unfortunate events and with the sadness, my inspiration was at a stand still. I know so many of us have had to deal with it, so I know you'll be understanding with me. I am not going to go into too many personal issues, they're a bummer, believe me. But I do want to say something. 

We always hear the 'Tomorrow is never promised' saying but seriously, I mean it....please remember it. You can see someone one day and they are gone forever the next. So love people in your life every day as if you'll never see them again. Don't ever be afraid to be that passionate. You have to be. With so much hatred in this world, be the rebel and love! Life is so precious. I have to remind myself of it all the time.
This is also a time for depression to just sky rocket. Why? Maybe it's that we're so broke. Memories attached to this time of year. Remembering loved ones that aren't here to celebrate with us anymore. It's all of the above for me. It's fucking rough. There's simply no other way to put it. I guess the important thing is to try. Small victories are great. You put pants on today? Go you! You rock!
I am coming around though and have a ton of things to catch up on with a few, oh you know, several thousand ideas on the side! I've been watching and reading and listening to a lot of interesting things that are helping to spark up ideas so, it should be fun!

IN OTHER NEWS---

My other half in SL, my bestfriend Dizzy sent me an amazing gift a couple weeks ago, the LOGO Mesh head! I am so in love with it. It's really gorgeous with it's supple lips and rounded features, emotions HUD and all that other good stuff. All that and then Glam Affair makes appliers for it! I hope you've all have a chance to give them a try, the Glam Affair applier is beautiful!
The Polar Glam Affair skin tone is probably one of my favorites. It's pale...need I say more? Haha. Not just pale, it's just got an all around soft paleness to it. I fantasy-themed pic came to mind and paired with Vibe Poses, I had a blast <3

Hey loves! Hope you're enjoying this awesome Autumn weather, I know I have. I was just out the other day enjoying the leaves and taking pictures. My blog posts might be far and few in between but that is the reason why. Come this time of the year I get super antsy and just want to be outside all the time! I can't get enough of the atmosphere.

Glam Affair's release at Fameshed are these adorbs roses. Many different color options to choose from. Such an awesome accessory to any outfit and so many different ways to use them so go play grabby hands and have a blast!
My super cute dress is by FK! Designs. I love love love his patterns on these dresses.  The fit is awesome on the mesh bodies and the side bewb is pretty amazing haha. Make sure to follow FK! on Facebook to see all the other awesome things!

Do You Like It? Keep Doing It.

Sometimes I have this thing with blogging, it's almost like an overflow of ideas. I have so many pictures in mind but at the same time...the set up, the outfit, finding the time is always a factor. 

I don't know if any of my fellow bloggers can relate to that. Sometimes by the time I'm even ready to take the picture, someone has blogged something similar and then I will just toss the entire idea out. I know, I know...I've been told many times I should just take the damn picture anyway but I just can't. The worst thing is to be accused of copying someone when you haven't....believe me, I know that from personal experience. There are people I take notes from and by 'take notes', I mean..I try to break down their editing skills and apply them to my own skills that I've already learned. Is that bad? No. I don't think so at least. I myself am all too willing to share any skills I've learned. And just how some blogs love to brag that they don't edit. I brag that I do. I don't edit my sponsored items but if I want to mess with lighting or focus, blur, etc..I have the programs and the tablet to make it happen. It's part of my enjoyment in blogging, we all do it in different ways, as long as you enjoy what you're doing that's all that matters.
Same with my style of clothes. If I like what I am wearing, that's pretty much all that matters. Everyone styles differently. Everyone thinks they look amazing but SL has definitely underlined the 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder' saying for me. What you think looks amazing, might look like a big ass mess to me & vice versa. So all you can go by is your own perspective, as I do mine.
My reasons for bringing all of this about is that in one of my groups the other day, I saw a question about blogging and I saw this person being flooded with bad information. I just watched and read, I wasn't about to be lost amongst the others chatting there.
All I really wanted to say was,  1. If you're blogging for an SLebrity status or to get free things, you're wasting your time. While you have one sponsor giving you their newest release, you will realize quickly that you have to buy most things around those few sponsored items. It costs money to blog. It is NOT free. It costs personal time. And that's not all. Wall blogging is awesome but it takes a special skill to stand there and get all the views and favs you want. I think Petra Messiopetra is one of my favorite Flickr bloggers that can stand in front of a wall and make you gawk. There are many more too but she is one of the ones I takes notes from.
2. I As long as you like it, keep doing it. Don't let anyone change it. Don't let other bloggers get you down. We're in an ever rotating blogger world. They come, they go, they rise to the top, they fall. It's how it works. So do it all simply because you enjoy it.
And these are all things I still practice myself mind you. Things I tell myself when discouraged or overwhelmed.  "Do You Like It? Keep Doing It."

Okay okay end rant. This is a late blog as I was super sick the past few days but I'm doing alright now <3 
So I hope everyone has made it to all the events including The Fantasy Collective because there is a ton of badassery there including this hair I am wearing! Reminded me lots of Yolandi so tuuune in like a few secs here <3

Well hello again! 

So glad we're nearing the end of the week, it's been a long one.

Glam Affair released several different skin tones for the Lelutka Mesh head and I have to say, I am in love with so many of them! Here is a closie of the different shades.

The one I am wearing in the picture is #14, a rare and so very gorgeous. For my pale skinned lovers, this is one you will want. With that fierce eyeliner on such porcelain skin, it definitely is a head turner! Maybe it's just me, maybe not but the eyebrows seem to have changed too. Fuller, fluffier and more defined...all things that none of us women mind!

Night Life Luv

The weekend has arrived! Time to celebrate with a round of shopping! That's right, Collabor88 is literally a few moments from opening and I am at the ready, finger by the teleport button as I am sure a lot of you are as well haha. What can I say? Dressing up my pixel dolly is one of my favorite things to do in SL, as you can tell per my blog. 

So I had a bit of a blast with this post coming up with a unique and stylish little get-up. Pairing up a silk blazer with casual ripped jeans. Matched my shoes to my purse, which I loooved! New by Remarkable Oblivion for Colabor88 this round and these are a 'Do Not Miss' on your list luvs! I don't know how RO does it but they never cease to amaze with their uniqueness, quality and detail. I tied the outfit all together with my hat/headphones which are also a Remarkable Oblivion creation for Uber. Super detailed and as you can see, quite versatile.

The hair I am in love with. Shi definitely needs to make me more hair, I simply cannot get enough. I love the wispyness of it. I love the sharpness of it. I love that it is unrigged and that I could customize it to fit perfectly under my hat. (No editing in PS!)

Death Becomes Her {Elder Goth Style}

Well hello!
It hasn't been that long has it? Don't worry, I Have lots of stuff to show. I've been having quite a bit of fun with my SL, the styles...finding all the things I love!
Goth fashion is not new to Gia's World at all. In fact, it is worn often and happily! Those of you that have been residents of Gia's World for quite some time now, don't need to be told that either.
I almost see it like a challenge. With so many events always popping up around SL, there's only but a few that are darker themed ones. Suicide Dollz, Woeful Wednesdays, The Witching Hour. Then of course around Halloween, several pop up so that is usually when all the goths creep out of the coffins and come out to play! Fun times! But back to what I was saying, I almost find it to be a challenge that when I go to these events, the popular ones...Collabor88, Fameshed...Etc, for example, I pic out what things I can use to pair up with my gothy outfits. Sometimes I can luck out and find a few things both most times, I end up gathering stuff for my eclectic taste.
Needless to say, when I see darker stuff pop up randomly, I cheesy grin like a kid in a candy store!
Death Row Designs made this ahhhhh-mazing 15 LI carriage hearse and I... *sigh* fell in love with it! It has a HUD to change the color of the seats and curtains in the hearse and over a 100 poses, single, couple, clean and adult versions...for those girls that get...you know.
It just so happened that my beloved DRBC released this gorgeous gown for Suicide Dollz!
I had no other thought in mind but to pair the two together for a fabulously dark Elder Goth look and I just adore it! DRBC has also released some super cute jackets at Suicide Dollz, you won't want to miss ANY of it!

The Arcade is open and I am sure it is no easier to get in now than it was the first moment it opened. It is usually like this for several days (weeks maybe!), but I hope a few of you have had a chance to get in and snag some of the goodies! I've had a few friends that scored some awesomeness at round one so I am itching to get in there myself!

Death Row Designs is there and of course is as badass as ever. I don't know how so much awesomeness is crammed into one little machine but yeah, it's there. There's so many outfits and so many pieces that you will want so definitely make use of gacha yard sales and trades and stuff! That's the way to go I tell ya! And once again I will say that we are truly spoiled because back in the day, you couldn't get quality items like this for these prices!

So I plan to do a series with the DRD stuff, this was just one of my favs and the residents of Gia's World aren't surprised that it is OF COURSE a post apocalyptic outfit! Next post of the series is a surprise so, keep your eyes, right here!

"As Sweet As the Wind That Blows Me to You..." {Saviad 2015}

Saviad starts soon, April 10th! The list of creators for this event has me so excited. They are definitely some of the most innovative and unique designers on the grid. "Gia..what is Saviad?!" you ask? Well...Saviad is an event where art meets fashion. It is a joint venture between three leading haute couture designers, Solidea Folies, Violator and AD Creations. Haute Couture isn't something that visits Gia's World too often but when it does, we love to go all out! I'm going to have a blast with this event!

It's been awhile since Boudoir has visited Gia's World so I am all too honored to be able to feature it for this event. What a gorgeous outfit and in typical Boudoir fashion, super unique, beautiful and inspiring. 

This is a designer who I allow to inspire my photos when blogging. MY interpretation of this outfit was Springs final release after being held captive by a harsh winter. Spring is full of innocence and rebirth and that was what I tried to capture here while showing this amazing piece of work by Boudoir.

Down On the West Coast... {Skindustrial Bodyworks-SkinFair 2015}

Skin Fair this year for me was a challenge...only because last year I had a lot more time to focus on the blog than I do right now. Also because I think I've grown a bit more as a blogger. I realized where my faults were last year but they're all a learning experience. I wanted this one to be more about the skin and less about anything else.

The skin I am in right now well, I am bias. I kind of love love the creator because she is simply an amazing woman and it shows through her work which was exceptional this year! I think one of my favorite things about Skindustrial Bodyworks skins is the highlights. It has a glow on it that just makes it a cake walk when taking pics. No editing needed! I pretty much edited allll around the skin and let the skin do its own job. Also the appliers for loud mouth and Nyam or darn flawless. And yeah, appliers...she makes alll the appliers so that makes Gia a happy girl (even though I know it drives the skin makers nuts! But we love you all long time for it!)

This skin comes in a few different shades which I will show you here in a fancy shmancy flashy thiny (unedited) and gorgeous!

Even though I love my pale skins...I was actually walking around for a good while in the darker tanned tone. They're just so gorgeous! 

Walking around at this beach mind you...which I've been camping out at for a few days because it's still cold where I am so yes, I am California Dreamin'!

2181 Days...

Our world is a vicious one and the fight is endless...and even when you think you've made it, you can finally relax, take that little breath and kick your feet up, there's always someone else there to knock you back on your ass. Welcome to reality. 

There is something to be thankful for though...and I really had to search for this one so, feel special. I think we've all read that Facebook picture that rolls across our feed several hundred times a day that says "Be Kind, For Everyone You Meet Is Fighting A Hard Battle", but look into it, think about it. It holds so much truth. Nobody knows what you or I are going through. I know, I can at least be thankful I've made it this far...since in this past year I've seen people who I thought to be far greater than I crumble under a battle I fight every single day. So hold your heads high, fight the battle, but be considerate. Be Thankful for what you have and for what you don't have...tomorrow is never promised. 

What is promised is that DRBC keeps me insanely busy! I'm like YEAH I can finally blog this! And here comes another release! Not complaining though! If I am busy so are you! All my sponsors keep me busy! The trench badassery I have on has literally DAYS left before it is out of Suicide Dollz so grab it before it's gone foreverrrr!!! (or until she puts it on the marketplace lol) And then keep your eyes locked on the next round of Suicide Dollz because it's a stunner! I'll try my damnedest to get right on it! 

Also, take your butts to Genre if you haven't been there already. I've already blogged a few things from there in my last post and my wonderful peg leg by DRD is there as well and it is a MUST HAVE!

My apologies loves, how I do wish I could blog all day every day but real life is so hectic right now and not being nice to me so I am struggling a bit but trying to be around as much as possible!

I recently had a 'Tudors' binge on Netflix. Ugh, what can I say? It's a guilty pleasure! One of the many. But if you wanna rewind just a tad, my obsession with this era started when I was a wee lil girl and I ran into my older sisters readers digest book on the supernatural. One of the stories was on the ghost of Anne Boleyn and it went into a little bit of her history and I remember thinking to myself...how damn tragic it was and how bad it would have been to live back then as a woman. 

Anyway, Dead Dollz sent me this lil loverly gown after my Tudors binge and Death Row Designs released this amazing table (stuffed pig included!) all at We <3 Roleplay so I smashed them together with The Tudors at heart...and then this lil shop came up out of nowhere and dropped the infamous Anne Boleyn necklace down for The Witching Hour event and I ran. I literally ran as soon as the event opened and snagged it right up. It's a gacha with several different options so of course, I chose to wear the blood spattered one...in typical Gia fashion!

The table and its entire layout was just amazing. I find DRD to still, after all this time to honestly just be one of those shops in SL that just can't fail me. *Crosses fingers* And better darn well not! Lol 

For the roleplayers, this is simply a must have in your homes, taverns, etc! Easy enough to catch a few dwarves wandering around this table as it would be to put a few thrones down and serve a King and Queen here. It comes with animations too PG and R rated *wink wink* With all of this, it only has a total of 26 LI, can seat up to 8 people and also has other chairs available for purchase with more animations included in them.

A big thank you to Whispering Windz for allowing me to play around in their wonderful Tudor-ish sim! The tavern was just what I had in mind but the whole sim is definitely worth paying it a visit.

Alright, alright...I know this photo probably has so many of you thrown off. Like, "Why oh why did Gia pose all purdy next to a head on a turtle?!" I have two words for you...Breaking Bad.

If you're a fan, then you know exactly why the turtle has a severed head on it (although it was a tortoise I think lol) and why it says what it does on that turtle. If you don't watch Breaking Bad then I am sorry...that you've chose to miss out on an incredibly awesome show with an amazing story line and top notch acting.

If you've just recently decided to watch it, look away! I hope I didn't spoil that lil bit of the story line for you. 

But ANYWAY! When Dead Dollz dropped this on me in a package called 'The Heisenberg Collection', I chose this dress first. All of the dresses are amazing but this one simply caught the eye (and well the name of course). You -cannot- hand Gia something with that title on the package and a dress named 'Tortuga' without seeing a bit of gore in the pic. The dress cut and style are so simple but so elegant, giving it a ton of dress up options and even making it comfortable enough for me to just kick off my heels and prance around like so. 

The awesome head on the Turtle is by 'Swagga' and is at the Level Up event this round in all its gorey glory! The theme for that event is 'Survival Horror' and I loved it! This head is animated with different pose options that will make you giggle...or vomit, either way, fun stuff!

My jewelry is by the ever amazing RealEvil Industries which seem to continuously be making things that I can put to use. This set is at the Jewelry Fair too along with their other awesome creations for that event.

It's no secret I am a Gamer. 100%. In and out of SL, in other worlds, many worlds. You will find me in Guild Wars and Guilds Wars 2, many many Steam games and games that are no longer even available. Although I started on console, my heart was won over by PC Gaming. I know the age old argument of PC gaming vs. Console...in the end, we both simply have a love for gaming and we're all simply that...GAMERS!

One of my favorite genres is of course, Zombie Apocalypse type FPS, or in gamer speak...First Person Shooters (not frames per second this time kids!). Left 4 Dead so won me over and is one of those games I just never ever get tired of playing, Left 4 Dead 2 too of course.

Since Arcade is right around the corner, LITERALLY!!! It starts tomorrow and I am super excited!! When Death Row Designs is participating, I just get overly excited and then of course, Jaimy and her sister Eowyn are on top of the Gamer genre with these awesome accessories! Must haves people, MUST HAVES! When I went to Missing Mile to take these photos, I was approached by several people on where I got stuff from and it just made me all smiley. Arcade, arcade, arcade. Get there and grab it all. 

My outfit couldn't have been completed with out a lil Sn@tch. It's been too long since Sn@tch has visited the blog. Nobody complains about getting more Sn@tch! The shirt came in so many variations. Bloody, greasy, dirty. SO many ways to rock it out and the shorts are super cute! They come with an awesome belt that fits it perfectly (not featured) and they also came in a variety of prints. The Dirty Tanks are in the riot vendor at Sn@tch so bring several friends and drop that price!!

There's a new Sheriff in town folks....well not really but that's the theme I had in mind when I got all dressed up. Although heels wouldn't be my first go-to shoes for this case lol, I couldn't resist! L. Warwick has long since been on my top of the top list for 'Kick Ass SL Shoe Makers' and this heel here is no exception! I swear I wanted to just walk around all day nude in nothing but these heels. Till FK! Designs made me the happiest lil chick ever. I saw the male version of this jacket and fell in love with it. I even told him I would tape the bewbs down to wear it! But thankfully, I didn't have to go through all that as he dropped this female version which is just as edgy and versatile in our favor. I could have also used it without pants. But there's something about tight leather or latex pants that are just a win in Gia's World!

Whatever will our futuristic police officers be like? I would hope they're better equipped, better prepared and everything else. I have a certain love for law enforcement....even with the recent events that have been plastered in the news (and are not about to be plastered in Gia's World!) still, what would we be without them? And well, as for the dudes (and of course some of you ladies too!)...if a female officer like this approaches you, I'm sure you'd happily assume the position! <3
