For those of you that celebrated, I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I decided to make some Tamales because we did not have Thanksgiving without them when I was a kid lol, so labor intensive but so worth it!

But back here in SL, I took allll these blog pics the day before Thanksgiving came flooding in and am only just now able to start editing and sharing things so, hopefully I will get them all out to you in a somewhat timely manner <3

This is just an outfit that I totally was in love with. There's this gal I follow on Facebook, she's so teensy and so incredibly adorable! She is Psychara. 
When playing with my Catwa head yet again, I decided to try my best to mold it after Psychara, though I simply cannot do her justice. So do check her out and snag all the goodies!
Btw, I must say this dress is fitted so greatly against Maitreya! I totally fangirl'd over the work! Hopefully you all scooped it up by now!

Real life still has me super busy right now but my blog is always on my mind. I can be at work, thankfully we're allowed to use Ipods, so I will have my music on and it brings to mind so many pics I would love to take for the blog or even just for Flickr. As all residents of Gia's World know, I can never get enough of DRBC! This little outfit was released for Erotigacha. I was away during that time so I didn't have a chance to show it off but it couldn't sit there without recognition in Gia's World! I know a lot of you would love it as much as I did. There are several different print options available that you will definitely want!
Whenever I can flaunt my 'Witchy' wardrobe in SL or in RL, I am all for it and this is surely one you will want in your collection too.

Halloween Is Everyday - Gia's World LoTD

I am seriously amazed at how fast time goes by. I swear I just posted the other day. This is what happens in the life of a very busy woman! So many pictures floating around in my head, ideas, outfits...and sometimes I feel like I actually did blog it when in fact, nope...it was only a thought. 

Halloween in just a few days and in the spirit of it all, I have been enjoying a podcast. I am new to the podcast world and maybe I shouldn't have crossed over because I am hooked! So a friend suggested I listen to Darkness Radio, have any of you listened in? It's paranormal talk radio. I simply cannot get enough of it. There is nothing I love more than some spooky with a side serving of goofy! I've already caught up with them since their September podcasts haha. They need to get to work. I work full time, that means they have to entertain me for 8 hours! 

So yeah, besides scary movies and stuff, I've been enjoying my spookiness via podcast too. 

I have a LoTD kinda post going on today. I thought it was pretty appropriate attire for us 'gothy' or 'nu goth' lovers during this time of year. It is still a lil warm (depending where you live!) but can get nice and breezy, maybe a bit too breezy so you'll want a sweater nearby.

But First, Let Me Take A Vintage Selfie {Festival of Sin}

Hey dolls! So glad I had a chance to touch base again before my week starts up again! It's going to be a great week....say it with me okay? lol. I hope so anyway!
Soooo many events have started up and my goodness, it's so hard to keep track of them all!  One of the ones I hope you have made it a point to visit is the Festival of Sin II! Such a fun event with tons of SL's top designers in one place, with such an awesome theme, it's pretty awesome to see what they come up with.
The first sin I picked of course was 'Vanity'. I am not familiar with this sin haha but playing a Toreador in Vampire the Masquerade, it was just the one I had to do!
I was able to snag this dress by Valentina who is be far one of the SL designers I will proudly say I fan girl over. I don't even care. Seriously, I don't think I have seen anything by Valentina that I haven't been absolutely taken with. This dress was no exception! This is in the 'Vanity' part of the sim. It so belongs there. With its gorgeousness, I couldn't stop looking at my own avatar haha. I was also undecided on which color to get but surprisingly, I went with pink! *gasp* Good luck with that one. I loved all the colors.

So about the event...
The sim is separated by the 7 sins. Make sure to visit each one, browse around, snag all the goodies and take a look at your surroundings! They're a funny bunch those ones! They tossed in some things to keep you entertained that's for sure!

So What If It's Hot Out, I'll Still Be Wearing Black!

Hello luvs, did you miss me?! I missed blogging but the break was severely needed. It's just something that happens. Not only to bloggers but everyone in SL. Real life steps in and is over demanding. There is really nothing you can do about it. I am not going to go into my innermost personal issues with you but I will say that it's not only RL work that is exhausting me, just a lot of alllll the thangs! I wish I could continue functioning without any of it getting in the way but that's just not how I am wired. So there is your answer as to why I haven't blogged every day. Plus, blogging for me has always simply been my creative outlet. A way for me to show off some of my favorite fashion designers and all my other fav things in SL. It was never about anything else. So when it became too demanding, I had to reassess it all. I love my sponsors btw. They have always been some of the most supportive and understanding people on the grid. I'd rather be without a sponsor than have anyone think I am just getting everything for free. I am certainly not. Hopefully I will be able to get in more blogging time now though. So anyway, onto other things!

Summer is here and holy hellballs it has been HOT! I live in one of the colder states in the US and even here we're in the 80's. Now for some of you I am sure that is ideal but for those of us thick blooded people who can't stand the heat...this is hellish. Plus humidity, eww!

Still, there isn't a day that goes by that I am not wearing my black clothes. The only other color I have is a dark purple haha. So many people will come and tell me they don't know how I can wear black in this weather but...how could I not? It's my favorite color to wear and anyway...I don't feel much of a difference wearing anything else. Maybe that's just me. 

This fashion I am so enjoying in SL has made it's way into my RL. I have done my fair share of leg work looking for places online or in my surrounding area that sell clothing similar to this and I am starting to completely overhaul my wardrobe. That's been long overdue anyway!

Needless to say, when DRBC dropped this one, I was on it! This is NOT the only print that this awesome cardi comes in either! My Reflection

Ever since I first logged into Second Life and learned about shopping and how much you could customize your look in this world, I was hooked! It is one of my absolute favorite things to do. 

Fashion in my real life doesn't get as much attention as my full time job and family takes up a lot of my time so, I take out all my fashion frustrations in Second Life lol. 

Finding 'That Perfect Look' is sometimes a battle for me. I can imagine something in my head but my inventory is pretty loaded. Even though I am anal with how I separate my things, it's still a lot to go through mentally. Occasionally though, I will luck out. 

Tapping into the whole 'Nu Goth' fashion once again, since it is my current obsession in SL and RL! When I see things in Sl that I can use to add to my collection for this style, I will snag it in a heartbeat! 

I loved these little tops by Dappa! Simple little crop tops with a dash of witchery and spice, I was okay with that! I ran into these awesome jeans at The Mens Dept. and I havent taken them off for awhile lol. This whole outfit in fact has been on me for a few days though I rotated through my Dappa tops. The pants have a leg insert so...you alpha out your mesh body legs (these Jeans are rigged for TMP, Maitreya, and Slink) and this knee cap, as seen in the pic, is still there. The jeans include a skin hud for you to adjust to your skin color. It eliminates the issues we've had with mesh jeans that have holes in them for your legs to show through and things are poking out all over the place. The shoes I paired up with it pretty much sealed the deal. FK Designs never fails in providing some of the best textures in SL. I love the quality of these shoes and they're available in many prints!

I was also one of the lucky ones to be allowed early access to the Hair Fair this year. *cheers!* I'm always so thankful for those opportunities. Fighting the masses to get in there and shop all the things and get back to our platforms and then blog it all to share with everyone can be a pain in the mesh ass! 

For those of you that don't know, or don't remember...this is another great reason to shop in SL as all items sold at Hair Fair donate a portion of their sales to  Wigs for Kids!

This hair-do, along with several others, stood out. I found it unique in style. I loved the quality and I loved the bangs! So although I originally took the pic for this outfit wearing another hair-do, I changed it up last night and loved it this way even more.

I totally let my vibe this past Sunday inspire my picture here. I wasn't sure how I wanted to blog this all but...It was such a gray day,  it was gorgeous. The windows were open and the threat of rain had the wind running rampant, cleansing my house in the process. My candles were flickering and through it all, I had Stevie Nicks singing sweetly. Honestly, I haven't felt that sort of magic in a long time and it felt quite lovely. 

I absolutely fell in love with these little dresses that DRBC released for Suicide Dollz! They come in several different colors (HUD), several different rich colors I should say. I'm not used to seeing those colors in DRBC but she pulls it all off flawlessly! This was like the perfect springtime dress and I don't care if you wanna be all witchery with it or not, the colors let you decide how you will wear it.

Though I thought of wearing shoes...I just couldn't. I was feeling nature in all its glory in my real life and it passed right through to my SL.

I apologize for my mini break. With the holiday this weekend, work was insanely hectic but...on a good note, I was able to get some photos taken for more posts because of the long weekend. So I will be back soon, and with company! (hint hint!)

Did everyone already hit up Collabor88? Yas?! I was glad to see that it was 'Punk' themed and at the same time sad because as a good friend of mine said, "Punk is a way of life, not a style". I was also sad to see the LACK of Joan Jett! UGH Here, fail cards for everyone that missed it but yay for Nylon for including my woman!!

In any case though, regardless of the theme, there is always something I will want at Collabor88. I loved the Tableau hair, even though I hate the band it was named after haha. 

Of course Remarkable Oblivion is there with some absolutely gorgeous shoesies also a collar and earring set and once again I will say that the texture work for RO is just hands down some of the best damn work you will see on the grid!

I paired it all up with one of my sponsors who is also one of the only REAL 'punks' I know in SL and I so wish he could have been a part of that event. With some more amazing texturing and uniqueness, FK Designs is definitely a shop you will want to hit up.

With the weather (slightly) changing, I'm so enjoying these summer time pics. I live vicariously through SL though because, we're expecting snow here this week! *sigh!*

Welcome to Retroville...{DRBC Double Banger Special!}

Well hello there!

It's been awhile since I've had fun with a DRBC Double Banger so I thought I would do so just now!

I've linked the facebook page above and if you haven't followed it already, make sure to do so because you will most definitely want to keep up with the awesomeness she is constantly dropping. Seriously, I can't keep up, but that's a good thing!

DRBC recently opened a lil chain location at Retroville, which is linked under my pictures. 

What is Retroville? Do you remember Hard Alley? "Before it was Hard Alley, SL's FIRST dirty urban RP sex sim, it was Retroville, a gleaming city of hope and dreams!  But behind closed doors, a darkness is growing." So that is what is quoted from their sim description.

I was super impressed with the layout and design of the sim. So many different people have participated in it so I won't even attempt to name them all but I do know that besides Hard Rust and Spirit, my girl Jaimy (owner of Death Row Designs) and her partner in crime Tito are a big part of it as well.  And like I said, many others!

So, do feel free to head over and pay Retroville a visit. Especially my followers that are roleplayers. The place has awesome potential for roleplay and I can't wait to see it in action and maybe get in on it (if I can get some free time that is!!). Oh and if you go, take pics because I want to see. Mind you, I meant get in on roleplay, get your minds out of the gutter! Only my mind is allowed to live there.

In typical Gia fashion, I am getting this post out way later than anticipated, though I've had this picture (or one similar to it!) in mind since I saw these heels. I honestly do let my wardrobe inspire me. I wouldn't know how to pull this sort of thing off otherwise.

By now I am SURE everyone has been to Uber but I hope you've made sure to grab Eudora's awesome heels that are there or their items that you see anywhere because if you see Eudora, you're guaranteed some of the best quality on the grid. These heels are so very feminine and with the HUD that they come with, they give you a plethora of fashion options to dress them up or down, this is just the way they inspired me. 

I mashed them up with some goodies from other events and had a ball trying to find just the right place for my picture. What?! Is nobody else in SL obsessed with Versailles like me? Geeeze.

The Geeks n' Nerds Event has come around again. This is my second year participating in it...and my second year not feeling like a geek or a nerd according to their items lol. Don't get me wrong, I say nothing bad about them because I love designers. They put a lot of work into what they do...I'm just saying I guess my definition of a geek or a nerd is kind of off. 

I got called a 'nerd' a lot because I usually carried around random books (I still do). Books to read randomly, poetry, old favs, classic American literature, classic horror of course, biographies,...and then there's that side of me that is allll about Middle Earth. When people see me carrying around my Lord of the Ring books or The Hobbit, I get "the look". That's a look I don't mind though. Yes I do in fact indulge in a book or two. Yes I have in fact shut out the world and read a book in a day and yes I have cried over a book, got mad over an ending and rage quit reading several books when they got stupid. *coughFIFTYSHADEScough*

I also get the look when I mention that I am a gamer. For some reason, all these years later...girls are still looked at oddly when we mention gaming or our love for it. I don't get it. I've been a gamer since I fell in love with Atari when I was a lil girl. It was console first and now PC is my luff n stuff and I could never go back to console (shh console lovers, just take it). My love for PC gaming has out lasted several relationships so you can't pin it on that horrible misconception people have 'Oh she games for her boyfriend", no no no...they can't keep up with me! 

I made sure to represent not only my love for reading but my PC love too! Though not in typical Gia fashion, I was willing to take on the challenge of rocking these shoes out because Lindsey Warwick is that damn badass. Her high quality textures never cease to amaze so, no...the shoe is not something I would typically wear but you cannot deny talent and she has it. Although the nerd in me does love the lil control command on the shoe lol.  And as you can see, when you want to, you can rock anything out!

My apologies loves, how I do wish I could blog all day every day but real life is so hectic right now and not being nice to me so I am struggling a bit but trying to be around as much as possible!

I recently had a 'Tudors' binge on Netflix. Ugh, what can I say? It's a guilty pleasure! One of the many. But if you wanna rewind just a tad, my obsession with this era started when I was a wee lil girl and I ran into my older sisters readers digest book on the supernatural. One of the stories was on the ghost of Anne Boleyn and it went into a little bit of her history and I remember thinking to myself...how damn tragic it was and how bad it would have been to live back then as a woman. 

Anyway, Dead Dollz sent me this lil loverly gown after my Tudors binge and Death Row Designs released this amazing table (stuffed pig included!) all at We <3 Roleplay so I smashed them together with The Tudors at heart...and then this lil shop came up out of nowhere and dropped the infamous Anne Boleyn necklace down for The Witching Hour event and I ran. I literally ran as soon as the event opened and snagged it right up. It's a gacha with several different options so of course, I chose to wear the blood spattered one...in typical Gia fashion!

The table and its entire layout was just amazing. I find DRD to still, after all this time to honestly just be one of those shops in SL that just can't fail me. *Crosses fingers* And better darn well not! Lol 

For the roleplayers, this is simply a must have in your homes, taverns, etc! Easy enough to catch a few dwarves wandering around this table as it would be to put a few thrones down and serve a King and Queen here. It comes with animations too PG and R rated *wink wink* With all of this, it only has a total of 26 LI, can seat up to 8 people and also has other chairs available for purchase with more animations included in them.

A big thank you to Whispering Windz for allowing me to play around in their wonderful Tudor-ish sim! The tavern was just what I had in mind but the whole sim is definitely worth paying it a visit.

I'm so glad I finally made it over to Pumpkin Town! Such a cute little place that brought back so many childhood Halloween memories. Definitely pay it a visit if you haven't. 

So today is the FINAL day for Vintage & Cool and in typical Gia fashion, I had to sneak in a last post before it's gone and we don't see it again for awhile. 

I had to get in some Goth1co love, it's a shop that has long been in my Second Life, since the beginning of my days. I'm always happy to see that Keishi (owner of Goth1co), keeps involved in events, hunts, etc and keeps the shop alive. It's good to see the shops that were around in my first days of SL still going strong. Goth1co for The Vintage & Cool Fair had a psychobilly swirl to it and so it won me over. I'll admit that though I love love my rockabilly stuff, psychobilly will win me over hands down!

I complimented it all with a cute bag I snagged from The Little Bat for the Kawaii vs. Creepy Gacha, I love it sooooo!! Spooky and cute at the same time I had to have it on me. Speaking of spooky and cute, MishMish I love love you! Cutest lil monsters evar for the Tag Gacha  and I took them out to Trick or Treat with me in the top pic. To complete the look I rounded it off with a nice new pale skin from Skindustrial Bodyworks. A new bloody makeup set is available for this months round of Horror Haute and those smexy red lips are in the package with appliers for Nyam AND Loudmouth. The skin isnt available yet but will be soon and believe me, for my gothy and pale skin lovers, you're going to want it!

What I wanted to say before I go though is that I hope you all really enjoyed yourselves this season. Try to remember what it was like as a kid. I know its not the same for all of us. Some of us are Halloween lovers and some of us enjoy Christmas more...but when I was a kid, it was alllll about Halloween. It was such a big event in our family. We almost never bought costumes because making them homemade was always way better and so much more fun. Anyway those masks from the 80's were a hazard!

That's what I tried to base my top picture on...the spirit of Halloween and never losing it. 

I am sure I will see you all again before then but have a blast, we only have a few days left till Halloween and YOU only have a few hours left before Vintage & Cool is over! <3

We are at the ten days left count till Halloween and I am all too excited! This is honestly my month of happiness. Where I feel like everyone else is the weirdo and I am the one who is normal. Where my year round household decor is more lively because tis' the season for hauntings! Where I feel like for just this month, people can appreciate all my spookiness. So of course I get to play around with spookiness right?
