Return of the Pumpkin Queen

Hey loves! I took this pic a few weeks back, before my tablet started going a bit insane. Just a quick pic to bring my Pumpkin Queen back this year. She was featured in the blog before and I love her. I kind of have certain characters that pop up in the blog. Maybe my SL has D.I.D lol. Ms. Zombcakes like to come out and play during this time of year too. If you know Gia's World, then you know just who I am talking about!

Keeping things nice and short, super simple. Halloween is right around the corner and I am SUPER excited! I got my costume ready to go, candy, hells I even have goodies for co-workers! That's how you know Gia is in good spirits!

Remember I said in my previous post that I wanted to do a lil series for DRD at the Arcade? This is the second part of it. By the way, I still haven't made it in there! In all honesty, I haven't been busting ass to get in there either, just randomly trying to tp and it still fails so I go about my business.

We <3 Roleplay is eeeevil. So much awesomeness this round! 

My fellow roleplayers will love DRD at the Arcade this round. SO much stuff to add to your wardrobes! So get to trading or try your luck at hitting up the Arcade or the gacha sales! 

This one I am featuring is the rare. All I could envision was an elf queen and the look came to me in a second.

Also, perfect time for me to break in the newest addition to my inventory...that's right I finally loved on a mesh head enough to buy it! Curse you Lelutka! Lol When I first saw the Stella mesh head, I definitely thought she was prettier than the rest but then I saw a certain skin on it that totally sold me on her! I've actually bought several appliers for this head, she's quite the piece of work. So glad I finally decided to snag her! The Glam Affair Fantasy line for this head was no exception. 

But enough rambling for me today! Wish me luck at getting a few more posts in this weekend <3

With the weather (slightly) changing, I'm so enjoying these summer time pics. I live vicariously through SL though because, we're expecting snow here this week! *sigh!*

So I celebrate by wearing these DRBC-kinis! So darn cute! If I can wear it with my Maitreya body and it is gorgeous it's such a double win. These are at Carnevil and in lots of different prints! So make your way there and snag them all because believe me, you will want them all! 

Keeping it so short my luffs. We're simplifying a lot in Gia's World so that I can try and blog more. 

I've felt bad because RL has taken it's toll on my blogging time and the only way I can keep blogging is to simplify it by A LOT. I will do my extreme pics when I have a chance but most of my pics will just be quick, fun and showing you the goods to be on your 'to snag' list!

Oh So Glam {Skin Fair 2015}

Hey dolls!

Has everyone rampaged into the Skin Fair?! One of the most anticipated events evar!
I was able to take a peek around the two sims and snag a couple favs. So I get to focus on that for a few days. Hoping to keep it all skin and very little clothing lol. It should be fun. It's not something I am really used to so, here we go!
The first one I am show casing isn't a skin place a blog for, just one I loved and given, just a tad bias since Glam Affair is so Maitreya friendly and we all know Gia loves the Maitreya body so much!
There are several options for this skin but I loved the smokey look around the eyes of course. It's always been one of my favorite looks in RL and SL!
If you don't have the Maitreya body (for some odd reason!), Glam Affair skins are all included in the Maitreya body hud so, if you own Glam Affair skins, all you have to do is match up your body color with the skin you're wearing!
In typical Glam Affair fashion, the new skin is super soft and gorgeous. The eyebrows seemed a bit more defined to me and I loved that! But maybe that was just me lol.
Okay so on to the next one but this is definitely a stop you should make! Demo and then buy!

Keep in mind that a script limit will be enforced for the first week of the event to try and keep the lag down. Wear your system clothes and remove any unnecessary HUDS, keep all attached pets and babies at home with sitters, etc. No need to attach the entourage while you're demo'ing skins believe me! Let's keep it nice and clean and get in and out with alll the goodies!
Also, Skin Fair isn't only skins so, get them lindens ready to flail. I saw some ah-may-zin tattoos, make-up and other neatness there so, take your time and browse!

Voted Most Likely To...{Strawberry Singh's Second Life Yearbook Smile Challenge!}

I almost never have a chance to do Strawberry's meme's but this one I could not put on the back burner. Because no Second Life yearbook is or could be complete without a shot of Gia! So I had to get in a quickie *snickers*. You can find her Second Life Smile Challenge Meme on her blog! Instead of going with a gothy lil look, I decided to dig into my actual roots. Since I'm an 80's kid, I went with the 80's theme! I spent the greater portion of my life loathing the 80's but that's because I was exposed to a lot of the corniness of it. As an adult now, I've embraced that corniness and am also able to see so many more sides to the 80's that I actually love. (Of course I am talking about the goth and punk scene here! lol)

So as for the smiling part. I know I saw many people posting tips on Strawberry's blog on how to get your avatar to smile and woah! I didn't know it was such an issue. I take so many pin-up pictures and whatnot so I kind of got into my own swing of things. I've never tried the mesh smile mouth...it even sounds creepy lol but what I do...mind you, I do NOT claim to be a photoshop professional, I more so claim to be a photoshop screw up that can occasionally luck out and land a few things right lol. So anyway, what I do is simply take two pictures. I use the 'Anypose Expression' Hud which can be found  for free on the marketplace. So I take a picture with me smiling and another one, without changing windlights or the pose, only I unclick the smile option. I then go into photoshop, open both my pictures. I am going to keep and edit the one with the smile on it and only use the other for the eye adjustment. The expression HUD and any smile HUD in Second Life just makes for creeper smiles and wider eyes can fix that. Yes I heard you can make a shape for that but, ain't nobody got time for that! Much easier for me to use the clone stamp tool in photoshop on the non-smiley picture, click on a certain point near the eyes, switch pictures, then clone those more natural looking eyes over the smiley face. I hope that made a little sense. In the above photo, all I did was make a copy of my eyelashes and edit the copied lashes to fit my squinty eyes.
I would love to do tutorials one day but, I so don't feel like any kind of pro to be offering tips or tricks. I kind of just do whatever works for me and hope it entertains you!
By the way...I wasn't voted 'most likely' to do anything, we had quotes. What I was remembered for was being that girl in the science room that laughed hysterically when that one kid read the word 'organism' as 'orgasm' and was sent to the office for knowing what 'orgasm' meant. Oh c'mon! We were in seventh grade!!

Gothmas Awakens the Bride

I told you Gothmas by Gaslight was right around the corner! It's here! It started! This is an event for those of us that can embrace the darker side of this holiday and all the beauty of it!

Right now I am feeling semi overwhelmed with everything that this event has to offer lol so much to show so first things first, I had to show some DRBC luff!

Though there are a few options for you from DRBC, I am showcasing this amazing lil gown. I immediately thought of my fellow roleplayers, and people that roam the medieval sims. This is a gown you wont want to pass up. So simple but very pretty. I ran into this gorgeous photo online and it inspired the bride to awaken and celebrate the holidays! So of course, I couldn't think of a better dress or brand to bring the Bride to life with than my beloved DRBC.

Time Will See Us Realign

I've loved the Small Town Green sim for awhile now. There are little spots all over the place to capture a great moment in SL or just to sit and lounge in. This hidden and overgrown railroad track is one of my favorite little spots. Although it doesn't have build turned on, it's still a great place for bloggers/photographers etc who enjoy their outdoorsy pics. 

I knew -just- where I wanted to take this photo and I knew just want I wanted to pair up my featured item with! I am featuring Death Row Designs at A Secret Affair. The Secret Affair this round was amazing! My compliments to all parties involved. My lindens were flailed all over the place! If you haven't been there, make sure to pay it a visit and grab this gorgeous armor by DRD! 

As for my hair, don't you love it?! Ugh Moon! Both of the Moon hairs available at N21 are out of this Slworld Amazing! At least in my personal opinion. You will definitely want them both! I am crossing my fingers in hopes that only more curly hairs will come to our SL, preferably ones without flex! Not that I have anything against it myself, what you wear is your business. After all, this is YOUR SL and nobody can dress up your doll except you. I simply don't miss it going into my body whenever I move =)

Oh Black Fashion Fair...why must you own my heart like so?! Last year I fell in love with this lil event (not that lil) because it revolves around the color black...and c'mon kids, what does Gia love? Black with a side of blacker! People might get tired of seeing, people may feel it's over used...but get used to that in Gia's World! It's a versatile and dramatic color that I love with all of my gothy lil black soul!

I was thrilled to find that my good friend and sponsor Bcreative, owner of Dark Passions, would be participating in the event. My nails are already pretty much exclusively done by Dark Passions and in case you dont know...she is including more and more mesh clothing to her shop and I am loving it! With her insanely unique and detailed nail designs, we can all only imagine where this is going to go with clothing. I am excited! 

Although her top seemed to call for a deadly gothy vixen type look, I decided to whip it around and match it up with this elegant dress I found at The Black Fashion Fair. It turned out to be a pleasant lil mix of goth vixen and elegance. I wore this one to Bcreative's RezDay party. She's an oldie here in SL, 10 years! And it shows in her character. No drama, no BS, just a straight forward woman who has grown on me in a very short amount of time. I <3 you B!

Also had to love on some Mystic Canvass skin because it's been awhile since she's been in Gia's World and she has been missed! Can't wait for new goodies from her creative mind as well!

Hey loves! Etchaflesh dropped this awesome lil number on me, and though I could have taken it in many different directions, I saw it as a way to be a lil rebel!

Now, I did tell everybody that I was going to buy this mohawk when I saw it. I fell in love with it right away. I think more mohawks need to be made in SL. We've had many but most are old and not new mesh or made with the fancy shmancy new textures.

Kingdom of Elves {Fantasy Faire 2014}

I have a love for my Elves. I played a game called 'Neverwinter Nights' many moons ago and almost always, the Elven race was chosen. D&D on PnP? Elf. Rogue. Ranger. (Fighter added to that if I wanted the elite build haha) Did I just get too nerdy for you?
There's something about their elegance, beauty, dexterity. So I thought I would bring a nice little elf warrior to grace my blog.

*The small man, known as a traveling bard, let his sack fall on the ground next to the warm crackling fire. Night had fallen, another town reached and he simply wanted to allow his eyelids to fall and melt into the log bench that looked like a wonderfully soft place after such a long journey. No such thing. You see, when a bard arrives in any town, word travels fast and the townsfolk are curious as to what was encountered during his travels. A dragon? A dragon slaying?! Fights of heroes? Spotting villains?! The townsfolk quickly surrounded him and the man knew and said to them, "Oi! If I plan on gettin' me rest, I 'spose I better tell you me tales!" The townsfolk laughed softly but nodded and smiled at each other and at him. All seated on the benches or the ground around the fire, a mug of ale in most hands waiting for the small man to get in place in the center of them all, which he did. He unstrapped his Lute from his back, rested his foot on a rock and strummed it, immediately entrancing his listeners..and then he began his tale in a deep husky voice, one that would never let a person around him ever forget it....

"Small but fierce she is as the protector of the Fairelands. Not a single sound is heard when she moves. Not a brush of her step... against the ground, not the pull of her bow as she draws back. The only thing one might hear is the soft whistle of the wind right before her arrow reaches it's destination. Hopefully that destination isn't you! *the strumming of the lute quickens* With her arms she is quick, on her toes she is quicker...and stories have been told of her ability to shoot an arrow through ones heart even if her hands were bound still she makes no sound and yer fate has been sealed. *the tunes softens again back to it's melodic tone* So my friends I say, when you reach the Fairelands, make it known when you approach. Stow away your weapons, be a friend and not foe, less you're wanting your last caress to be from the arrow of her long bow! *dramatic final strum*"
