Goth Urbano!

The past few days...it has just so happened that I have run into a cluster f<3ck of goth issues. Such as..well I went to a lil event for SLGoth. I had fun meeting new people, meeting up with friends, dancing, listening to music and chatting the night away. That wasn't one of my issues, but it was something goth I ran into haha...anyway though, so I had to blog a few things and I am trying DESPERATELY to find certain gothy things on the market place, to NO avail! 

I'm in conversations with friends and they're saying, well look here and there but 'make sure its not noob goth'. Why is goth in SL still noob? Why hasn't it evolved as the rest of SL evolved into bigger and better things. Mesh bringing us a whole other world of gorgeous opportunities! Mesh body parts making vampires and all the other darkly/pale/other worldly beings of our goth nation so fun to play with now! There's no need people...no need at all to wear fangs painted on bottom lips anymore! YaaaaaaaaaaaaaaY lets celebrate! Now don't get me wrong, I'm not making fun of those that still do. I know some of you hang tight to them for whatever reasons have you...sentimental or whatnot. But..why not evolve?! Second Life has given us opportunities to grow, to build, to change things and make it our world. I think that's awesome! 

I can't say that ALL of the goth nation has been delayed. Some have indeed evolved, embraced the age of the MESH/HUDS/EVENTS and everything else and brought us some amazing things! I'm so thankful for them! I try to feature a little bit of all styles that catch my attention but when I find some good quality goth..you bet your sweet mesh ass it shall be a part of Gia's World!
I get excited to see people from my early goth days in SL doing new things and participating in events! A lot of them have some really good skill with texturing because that was what we had to work with back then. I hope to see many, many more!

All The Wrong Moves

Month of Games is up and running in SL. I already made my rounds and, in all honesty when I went, I was expecting to pop in and out but I was intrigued. So many designers participating with so many different styles, UNIQUE styles! Chess, Candyland and Clue are the game themes..and obviously, I'm showing you a lil Chess!
Zibska is participating in it. Although I loved each outfit, I choose the Bishop outfit this time. I won't pretend to know anything about chess either. I have no patience to learn that game. I can only say that marble chess tables/pieces I find to be quite beautiful. I would definitely get one for decoration and maybe, just maybe some day...I would learn to play the game. And so, that is what my photo is based on, something beautiful, making all the wrong moves. More Zibska right around the corner luvies! <3

Five, five, FIVE! Days left of Rhapsody! It saddens me. I could happily blog about this event forever. I have to haul some serious arse because I still wanna take photos for a few more things that I love. The event has been an awesome experience and I hope you all found something in one (or several) of the genres available.

So Punk...Punk Nouveau...what is the difference? Punk with a whole other edge to it. I had a bit of a time picking which I wanted to show because they alll have something that I loved about them, but this one was the one that embodied Punk Nouveau to me.

Even In The Desert, There Is Life

This is a special post for me. Two reasons, one...I've taken too long in between blog posts of Zibska's art and secondly, I was inspired by my own feelings with these photos.

It is to represent and to show that even in the desert there is life, meaning...although things can seem like they're forever going down hill, life can be or seem to be at its worst, there is hope. Maybe you'll have to bust some butt to find that bit of hope and do a bit of soul searching, it's there. 

So hard for many of us to see it or find it, but it finds a way if you allow it. 

Rather than take this gorgeous little outfit to the water as I initially wanted to, I took it somewhere dry and desolate. Because, even in those places, you can find a some form of life. It will find a way.

The Fallen {Fantasy Faire}

Hey, don't blame me for going on a Fantasy Faire frenzy of blogness. We're given a few days to show you so many things and I just feel...so cheated because I want to show more!

The bloggers (and everyone else who wanted to join) were given challenges to participate in. One of them is called 'Why I Relay'. I wasn't sure if I should/would do this challenge but I think it's something that must be known. The challenge states that it "is for those who do have a personal reason to support Relay for Life events and who would like to share it."

Why do I Relay? Because I am damn mad at Cancer. I remember being in 3rd grade and having a friend named 'Sammy'. He was funny, loud, in your face kinda kid. We had this tire swing that he loved. He'd get on it and wave me over and I would spin him around till we were both pukous. Aaaaand one day Sammy was gone. He was also gone the next day and days and days following that. Nobody ever told us why, he simply wasn't there. Maybe they thought we all would only breifly wonder, then go on with our lives but, I couldn't. With help of my family, I found that Sammy was in the hospital due to complications from his Leukemia. When he found out I was asking for him, he made sure to request 'crispitos' from school and so I would smuggle mine out for him. We did this till my sister had to tell me Sammy wasn't at the hospital anymore...he had passed away. What a shocker for me as a kid. I never forgot him or his round face, most of all his smile. My cousin Benny also had his fight with Cancer and passed away in 2001. A cousin I was just getting to know but he was already loved dearly. The rage inside of me was more than I could express and so I didn't. I boxed it up. My grandfather, another one that passed away due to lung cancer. I never even met him. He died months before I was born. 

I relay for the fallen. I can't bring myself to say that they 'lost' their fight with cancer. I won't. They fought harder than most people ever will. I relay for those that are dealing with it right now. I relay to let Cancer know how damn mad I am at it. How much the world needs to be without it ever invading any of our lives ever again.

Oh and by the way, The Plastik made some amazing skins for Fantasy Faire. Seriously breath taking work. Don't miss them!

A lil birdy flew by and told me that even though the events at Fantasy Faire have come to an end, the place will stay in tact till about Tuesday so fret not! You still have a few days to go there and grab a few more things!!

I so warned you that the post I did that included Eudora wouldn't be the only time they were featured! In fact, now they're going to be an all around regular staple in Gia's World!

I am featuring their newly released denim beauty. Perfect for spring/summer outings. Like the Eudora brand shoes, the texture on the clothing is just as impressive. Mesh of course, with a perfect fit. It includes a HUD to swap around colors and goes great with a par of their wedges. I had them on but kicked them off to play in the water above.

The outfit inspired a very down home, laid back vibe where minimal accessories were needed. Maybe some soothing music, a cold drink and the company of...me! Hey, I am a natural introvert. I enjoy my own company.

The outfit is available at the mainstore along with the wedges and another newly released pair of heels that I am SO excited to show off!! Although I am sure you all have them in the inventory or on the pixels by now, and if you don't make it a priority to snag them. Or be like me and just snag the entire store! It's all very worth it!

I have another pose fair fav featured too (at top) by Grafica Poses. I was pretty amazed with the selection they made available to us. From straight stare stands to very artsy type poses. Great for standing pretty pictures or for Second Life works of art. Definite must haves for us pose collectors!
