When I was a young girl, I remember questioning things in stories that would make my teachers smile and give me funny looks, in a good way. One of the things I wondered about was why the evil Queen in the story was evil. I would ask and sometimes they would give me a half-assed explanation but most of the time they would simply say she wasn't the focus of the story. I always wanted to know why she was the way she was, why she did the things she did.

If you're wondering, yes I did/do love Maleficent the movie and loved the Disney character. 

When I took this photo and found this pretty, dark little part of this sim...a dark Queen is what I was reminded of. But I never forget that in Gia's World, the Dark Queens have a reason for being Dark or Evil.

My lovely horns atop my head are by Remarkable Oblivion, available at The Secret Affair and of course they're stunning as usual! They're available in 2 different colors, this dark color and a 'dusk' which would essentially be the ivory tone. You'll want them both believe me! Also resizable. Yours don't have to be as big as mine...I just like mine like that :P

Neeeeedless to say, I just had a ball playing with these pics! I've been experimenting more in photoshop with lighting and blur of course and doing a Fifth Element action shot was the perfect project for the job! 

DRBC dropped a loverly little dress for the anniversary round of Suicide Dollz! Happy Anniversary Suicide Dollz! With over 60 designers participating, this is a round you most definitely do not want to miss! Well, don't miss any round but if you miss this one it's a high five to the forehead for you! Lol

So, it's been my goal since the beginning of the creation of Gia's World to show you things that I simply adore, admire, look forward to, etc., in Second Life. Main one of course is the many designers who I fan girl over because of their talent. Of course, without saying much, you all know one of the designers who I love long time but there's a reason of course! And I really hope you can see that here. The reason I chose to blog the plan white Leeloo dress (Although there is another dress available with a color HUD!), is because of the texture. Although I had fun in photoshop with my pictures, I really wanted to show the texture of my dress in my bottom portrait. I didn't photoshop the dress AT ALL in the bottom pic. Played with my skin, hair, lighting but not the dress.  While in SL I have seen so much mesh clothes that is supposed to be white but it looks like it had paint dumped on it rather than any texture at all...but if I've done my job right, you can see clearly that this dress has an insanely great texture to it! I just have to applaud her on a job well done as there aren't too many that do white on mesh like so.

So, there's this lil movie called 'Secretary'. Have you heard of it? Watched it? Loved it?! It's certainly one of Gia's all time fav movies evar. Why? Well...of course, the kink is genuine. It is real, it is true to BDSM, it is everything 50 Shades will never be *snickers*. The acting is awesome, unique story line. James Spader became my old man crush with that one. If you haven't watched it, you won't be able to really appreciate my photos. They are entirely inspired by this awesome movie. Give it a try and it's quite alright if you don't understand it, many don't. But if you love it and do understand it, you've come to know Gia at a whole other level. *winks*

When I saw that DRBC released this gorgeous lil outfit, it is ALL that came to mind. Yep, I can type 518674164 words per minute, I can answer the phone and take messages like a pro, I will make you the best darn cup o' coffee you've ever had, I will keep your life in order, I will be your amazeballs Secretary....with a dash of kink on the side! That's what this outfit said to me...now tell me what it says to you. 

Oh and by the way...the Reign heels for Enchantment made me wanna lick 'em! Nice lil addition to my perfect concoction of fetish deliciousness!

Although many photos were taken of this outfit/costume/etc...I decided to stop with this one. I had a dress on her first but decided not. Because I find the story of Medusa absolutely intriguing, I decided to do my own little take on it. 

Elska is participating in the Greek Mythology Event and released two gorgeous tattoos. The one on my chest in the photo is called 'The Gorgon" and of course was my inspiration for the photo. The owner of Elska and I seem to have the same idea in mind that Medusa wasn't only a serpent haired woman, she had far more to her than what most envision. 

I know her story in many forms but there is a paragraph in the wiki that says, "In a late version of the Medusa myth, related by the Roman poet Ovid (Metamorphoses 4.770), Medusa was originally a ravishingly beautiful maiden, "the jealous aspiration of many suitors," but because Poseidon had raped her in Athena's temple, the enraged Athena transformed Medusa's beautiful hair to serpents and made her face so terrible to behold that the mere sight of it would turn onlookers to stone."

My ode to a long known character that I have loved since I was a child and met her in 'Clash of the Titans' (the original version of course!).

You might be frightened to look upon her because you don't understand her or the pain she suffered...but don't worry, she will force you to feel her pain and suffering.  "Do Unto Others, What Has Been Done to You..."

Oh, my dearest apologies for not being here to post the 64510449 ideas that have been haunting my mind! Surprisingly enough, bloggers need breaks too. I had a fantasmical week enjoying my RL, that's a good thing. It's like a restart button, also allows for ideas to flow more freely and start fresh. It so breaks my heart to see my fellow bloggers burn themselves out and I don't want to do that to myself either. So thank you all sooo much for being understanding and patient. And....never feel bad about taking breaks from SL. I think too many of us put too much into a virtual life and not enough into our real lives...before you know it, people will exit, people will quit waiting and you won't realize it till it's way too late. SL will always be there, and your true friends in SL will always be understanding. So on to the wardrobe!

Steampunk lifestyle/fashion is just another layer of what makes up me! It is something I have loved since I was a young girl, reading so many novels that touched on it....still, I wasn't quite sure how to explain that part of me to people.

I found a quote that worded it perfectly, “To some, ‘steampunk’ is a catchall term, a concept in search of a visual identity. To me, it’s essentially the intersection of technology and romance. – Jake von Slatt. 

Eudora released some amazing things recently, letting me show off my love for all things Steampunk. Boots and ANOTHER hat...because they did release a hat before but this one is more bomber friendly. I pulled out some of my Steampunk favs from the inventory and came up with this mash-up of greatness!

Obviously....this is going to be one of my favorite posts. If I can get something to just flow...it is because I honestly love it. There are times when I stare at an outfit and the process of putting it on, taking it off, adding it with this or that...it can last for days! But more times than not, I run into these outfits and accessories that are like pieces of a puzzle. I got them all at different times but they were just all supposed to be together!!

In typical Gia routine...horror is revisiting the blog again. Not just horror though, vampires. I Love my vampires beyond what any words could express. I love the darkness, I love being able to express my gothy side in a classy & elegant manner. Many try to do that....many fail. 

Silken Moon makes that all pretty easy on me. She dressed me, Pomposity adorned me with the jewels and Eudora....well, Eudora owns my shoe loving soul! Try to get me out of these stilettos. I DARE YOU! <3

So I finish shooting the pics and Boudoir decides to show me this throne....HALT. I had to go back and retake the pictures to include the throne because it is ah-may-zing! Not made to be rezzed but worn! That's right, blogger dream come true! I didn't have to worry about going to a land where I could rez objects for my photo....I just had to wear my chair and it sat me down next to this handsome man and made me feel like the Dark Goddess I am. My inspiration for the photos was the new American Horror Story. I jumped on that band wagon only a few months ago and still have yet to watch 'Coven' (I know, I know...). I'm super excited to see what demented things and twists they'll bring to us this time.

"It Was Many and Many a Year Ago, In A Kingdom by The Sea.."

If you notice many of my photos linked back to Mousai...I can't help myself. The sim is gorgeous. There are so many corners there that are an absolute call to attention. Just when I think to myself, "Oh I love this area! I will camp out here..", I end up finding a place I think I love even more. Right now, when I am not on my bloggers platform, I am usually hiding out in that house behind me in the photo above, not the castle, the little haunted house off to the right. I'm just all about the details. Plus events and a sim owner that is a peach. So yeah, many of my photos will be here. It has become like a SL home away from home.

I'm showcasing a few things in this post. The Plastik made some lusciously beautiful skins for the skin fair. I've been a long time fan of the Plastiks skins (and the Plastik in general). With a huge list of skins to choose from, ranging from fantasy-type to your normal colored skins, it's definitely a place you'll want to visit.

These are the featured shades at the Skin fair with a bottom right closie of a included freckled option that I personally thought was adorable! I am not partial to freckles but these are modifiable and perfect. Very realistic and not overwhelming. Like I said, opinion differs but this is mine.
