All the Witchery

Hey luvs! I hope your week started out well. My Monday was...well, a Monday. Overly busy and annoying! I made it through though and I am here!

So one of my favorite things to talk about, things to find, etc. are freebies in SL. Maybe not even just freebies but things that are such a bargain that you just can't pass up. Why? Because when I first started playing Second Life, this wasn't even an option and if you did find something that was free you had to sit in a chair for several hours (camping), even then, mesh wasn't out back then so it was all system clothes...I know some of y'all remember what I'm talking about! Quality freebies were insanely hard to come by! It never ceases to amaze me the amount of things that are available to us now at such a great bargain or as group gifts!

This gown is a group gift from DRBC this month! Are you in the DRBC group? You should be! Dizzy (owner of DRBC) is usually right on top of her group gifts and they are always awesome and very well done! Make sure to head over to DRBC in world where you can join the group and snag this gown and follow on Facebook (linked above) for updates on future group gifts and other upcoming goodies! We're spoiled. You can look damn good real quick as a newb Second Life player. I had a friends sister start playing Second Life with me. I gave her some linden to join Little Bones, and Moon groups. She joined DRBC, FK Designs. I sent her to Pink Fuel for the free 'Under 30 day' skin, and bought her a bargain AO (like 200L I think) at Oracul that is actually great quality, I use it all the time. For less than 500L she looked a damn sight better than I did when I started out as a newbie! Lol people were accusing her of being an 'alt' and she didn't know what that meant. My very first blog post has a picture of me when I first started Second Life (that's not what I looked like when I started the blog! Lol) so if you can go back that far, you'll see what newbie Gia looked like!

"She's A Myth That I Have to Believe In.."

Places in Second Life have slowly started to become covered in all the fluffy white stuff...yes, I do mean snow. Right now, I appreciate it. I am from the northern part of the U.S. so I grew up around many feet of snow during the winter. Winter just isn't winter unless you have to navigate icy roads and can sit in the back yard building igloos. Well, we tried anyway. We never actually could get to the ceiling part of it, we'd just get some pretty high walls going before my siblings wanted to start an all out snowball war and then...the walls were no more. 

The sim owners in Second Life have such talent though. I don't know how they manage to pull an entire place together. The smallest details are always what get me. Ironwood Hills has been a favorite of mine, several of my blog pictures are linked back to it. Creepy and gorgeous with one of the best graveyards in Second Life. Make sure to pay it a visit.

Remarkable Oblivion has given us some more wings to play with. So many of us are still in the RO wings that were released awhile ago. Just like those, these are also gorgeous! With a darker vibe though, at least that's how I saw it. These are available at We <3 Roleplay, be sure not to miss them!

Time to Say Goodbye to Summer!

I don't know how the weather is where you are but Autumn is quickly setting in here. We cannot wait for it to 'officially' be Autumn because by then, it's too cold and nearing winter haha.
So I needed to have one more moment by the beach before the Autumn trends, colors, pictures, really start setting in.
Has everyone been to uber and completely cleared everything out? It looks amazing! So much awesomeness!
Glam Affair is there with yet another superb skin! With it's deep shades of eye shadows, this is one you will want around for the fall for sure!

Wear It Just to Take It Off

We're almost mid-week! Lets keep telling ourselves that, it makes it go by faster haha. Another favorite of mine is at the Mesh Body Addicts Fair, AviCandy <3 This is her hand painted top to bottom lingerie and I loved it! AviCandy makes appliers for almost all the mesh bodies so definitely make this one a staple! Also, Ashton (owner of AviCandy) is very good with her customers and always seems to be accepting of suggestions. Though you will find almost every style at her place at some point. Go have a look around!
This is the first time in awhile that I put my Belleza body back on, not for any other reason that I hate switching everything over. Well, this was a first for several things. I also am not wearing my mesh head!
I am telling you, if you switch over to a mesh head, prepare yourself for the battle that will ensue. Going back to your system head is so very hard! It just doesn't feel right for awhile and you're kind of frowning like...how did I ever accept this shape?! Just try on different skins haha. I had to try on several of my favorite skin makers and finally fell in love with my face again when I put Essences on.
So I am having fun with pics and putting outfits together right now so I shall be back again sooner than you think!! <3

Introverts Unite! (Separately...In Our Own Homes)

Wanna know something kind of personal about me? I'm an Introvert and I'm proud! It actually took me a loooong time to say that and understand that it was okay to say that. I was told since I was a young girl that I shouldn't be 'antisocial'. It was wrong, it was bad, it was mean, it wasn't right, etc etc. I met someone not very long ago who laughed when I said I was antisocial. She said, "You are -NOT- antisocial! You're very social. I don't know who ever would tell you that BS but, they're wrong. You may chose to socialize with only a few people, you may be selective about those you socialize with. Being out in public drains you I bet?" I agreed. "Well honey, that's not antisocial, that's Introvert. Entirely different." So I explored this new word and I embraced it and it really helped me. I hadn't realized how upset it made me to think that I couldn't just go out and be a social butterfly like a lot of other people out there can, how much it made me look down on myself because of all the BS that had been drilled in my head about this for so many years.
I understand why I look forward to hanging out with....ME! I understand why when we go out shopping, or friends ask me to go 'hang out' with them, I come back home and feel this exhaustion. Like I have to recharge a battery. I very much value my 'Me' time. I love my small circle of friends and feel no need at all for an abundance of friends. My circle is small and secure and mostly family...but I am very social with them and they will tell you that. Texting, phone, visiting...whatever it may be, they hear from me often.
My pictures reminded me a lot of the real me and so I wanted to reveal that part of me. Funny how much poses can influence everything in my portraits. They breathe life into my pictures. A lot of times, that's why it takes me forever to blog things because...I can't simply stand in front of a wall, I love telling a story. I like you to see my pictures and wonder what exactly is going on. What was she doing, is she doing, or will she do?

Drown {Skin Fair 2015}

I've wanted to do a picture like this for awhile so I am glad the Plastik made the perfect creepy like skin to make this happen! 

Ugh, I simply can't say enough good things about the Plastik. Vae, owner of the shop, has always been super awesome when it comes to creativity and detail with her skins. There simply are none other like this at the Skin Fair so of course you know I am going to feature it! 

It comes in several different shades which I will show you below, and allll of the appliers, it also includes a slink nail applier for each shade of skin. Making your nails match right up with your skin tone easily. Eyes are available as well and don't forget to snag her gift that is there. Super awesome slink polish set. 

This skin is a MUST HAVE for my fellow goths, roleplayers, fantasy lovers, all around dark personalities! Go try the demos, you will not be disappointed! 

Although I had fun making my picture pretty, I don't mess with the skin itself in my pictures. I do fix the shape of my lips and nose if I HAVE to, because I hate when SL windlights make them look funky. That shouldn't be blamed on the skin creator. I used a high pass filter over this pic in order to let the veins in the skin be more visible, as the lighting I used kind of lightened it all up. 

However...the different shades featured below are unedited so if you wanna nitpick, have at it there! You will get what you see in any case! <3

So like I said in my previous blog, Rhapsody is right around the corner and I for one, am SUPER excited! I am going to try my best to show you a million and five things in a short amount of time (something I admittedly am NOT good at!). I love taking my time and enjoying stuff so it's hard for me to crunch but there are some pretty awesome things in this event that I have seen so far. 

What is Rhapsody? It's a musically themed event that is going to bring everything from furniture to hair, clothes, poses and everything in between based off of 8 different genres of music! I love my music and I love seeing how music inspires others so I am loving all over this!

I took my first look out to the land of punk. I love The Social Scene. You might find me there just relaxing while I am sorting my inventory or preparing another outfit and all just so I can enjoy the music. Even when events are held there, their DJ's are some of the most entertaining and will teach you a thang or two about some good punk!

My tops are older ones but blogging this punk look finally gave me an opportunity to show off a vest I've loved forever from a lil shop in SL that I adore called Redrum. If you haven't been there, make it a point to fix that. No seriously, it is quite an interesting shop. A lil blood and gore with a sense of humor can never go wrong!

My boots, skirt, and nails are by one of my fav people evar! Bcreative, owner of Dark Passions, honestly makes some of the best nails on the grid. Unique and detailed I love them! The ones I am wearing in the photos match my boots and my skirt also made by her, gotta coordinate! I look forward to her adding more clothes and shoes to her collection! These will be available at Rhapsody! Check em' out...

My hair..I was super excited about! I only recently said that more mohawks, newer ones need to be made with the fancy shmancy mesh and of course, the wonderful Mina brought us this badassery of a hawk! I love her hair for many reasons but one of them is that with materials enabled, I dont have to highlight at all in photoshop for you to see details! They're just making it easier and easier on me.

Before She Was Cursed, She Was Envied

Although many photos were taken of this outfit/costume/etc...I decided to stop with this one. I had a dress on her first but decided not. Because I find the story of Medusa absolutely intriguing, I decided to do my own little take on it. 

Elska is participating in the Greek Mythology Event and released two gorgeous tattoos. The one on my chest in the photo is called 'The Gorgon" and of course was my inspiration for the photo. The owner of Elska and I seem to have the same idea in mind that Medusa wasn't only a serpent haired woman, she had far more to her than what most envision. 

I know her story in many forms but there is a paragraph in the wiki that says, "In a late version of the Medusa myth, related by the Roman poet Ovid (Metamorphoses 4.770), Medusa was originally a ravishingly beautiful maiden, "the jealous aspiration of many suitors," but because Poseidon had raped her in Athena's temple, the enraged Athena transformed Medusa's beautiful hair to serpents and made her face so terrible to behold that the mere sight of it would turn onlookers to stone."

My ode to a long known character that I have loved since I was a child and met her in 'Clash of the Titans' (the original version of course!).

You might be frightened to look upon her because you don't understand her or the pain she suffered...but don't worry, she will force you to feel her pain and suffering.  "Do Unto Others, What Has Been Done to You..."
