"Evil Queens Are the Princesses That Were Never Saved..."

When I was a young girl, I remember questioning things in stories that would make my teachers smile and give me funny looks, in a good way. One of the things I wondered about was why the evil Queen in the story was evil. I would ask and sometimes they would give me a half-assed explanation but most of the time they would simply say she wasn't the focus of the story. I always wanted to know why she was the way she was, why she did the things she did.

If you're wondering, yes I did/do love Maleficent the movie and loved the Disney character. 

When I took this photo and found this pretty, dark little part of this sim...a dark Queen is what I was reminded of. But I never forget that in Gia's World, the Dark Queens have a reason for being Dark or Evil.

My lovely horns atop my head are by Remarkable Oblivion, available at The Secret Affair and of course they're stunning as usual! They're available in 2 different colors, this dark color and a 'dusk' which would essentially be the ivory tone. You'll want them both believe me! Also resizable. Yours don't have to be as big as mine...I just like mine like that :P

Can I talk to you all as friends? Can I pretend that we're close...that we've been friends for years and I am writing you a letter? In the past few weeks, months...I've not been too honest with you. I've told you real life has kept me busy and I didn't go in depth with it and I don't really want to. I know you have your problems and I am but another person, I don't want to burden you...but I wanted to let you know I am dealing with a lot. Physically, mentally, emotionally. Winter is never the best time to be around me anyway. Maybe it's this place I live in, the lack of Vitamin D is real! Lol. Don't worry though I am taking massive supplements!

With everything going on, blogging has been so hard for me to do. Not for lack of anything, the images in my head are never lacking. If I could grab the images right out of my head, I'd have over a hundred blog posts a day! But being real in my posts has been a struggle and I want to always be that. I want to be just the same Gia that I was the day I posted Ms. Zombcakes for the world to see! But the Gia in front of you right now is a broken one and so that is what I am giving you. So I will try to be honest with you from now on, and maybe my pictures might seem odd or sad but if they are, know that I am allowing you a glimpse into my head and feel free to share hugs. <3 So moving on...

Sn@tch I love you so! For years I have followed this shop and Ivey (owner of Sn@tch) never seems to let me down. Avi Choice Awards voting has started and I was so surprised when a notecard was sent to me, informing me that I was nominated. Honestly I checked to see if it was a mistake or something. I don't know how that happened but to place me amongst some of the bloggers that I admire most for their talent and photography skills, I've already won. Before She Was Cursed, She Was Envied

Although many photos were taken of this outfit/costume/etc...I decided to stop with this one. I had a dress on her first but decided not. Because I find the story of Medusa absolutely intriguing, I decided to do my own little take on it. 

Elska is participating in the Greek Mythology Event and released two gorgeous tattoos. The one on my chest in the photo is called 'The Gorgon" and of course was my inspiration for the photo. The owner of Elska and I seem to have the same idea in mind that Medusa wasn't only a serpent haired woman, she had far more to her than what most envision. 

I know her story in many forms but there is a paragraph in the wiki that says, "In a late version of the Medusa myth, related by the Roman poet Ovid (Metamorphoses 4.770), Medusa was originally a ravishingly beautiful maiden, "the jealous aspiration of many suitors," but because Poseidon had raped her in Athena's temple, the enraged Athena transformed Medusa's beautiful hair to serpents and made her face so terrible to behold that the mere sight of it would turn onlookers to stone."

My ode to a long known character that I have loved since I was a child and met her in 'Clash of the Titans' (the original version of course!).

You might be frightened to look upon her because you don't understand her or the pain she suffered...but don't worry, she will force you to feel her pain and suffering.  "Do Unto Others, What Has Been Done to You..."
