Hello again luvs! I know, I know...do feel free to punish me. I've been away for so long! RL can do that to us sometimes. It just gets super hectic and when all of it piles up, it's just easier to move a few things to the back burner, not forget them, just move them to the back for a lil bit until things get settled. I have been working a lot, and I mean that in SO many more ways than one. Working on me, working on my place, spending time with family, etc. etc. and it all has been rejuvenating for me! I really do feel like I've returned from the "dead". Head is fresh and overflowing with ideas and pictures I've wanted to take so, I am excited! Excited to play around in my Second Life once again while I have some time.
Now, mind you...that is not to say that I will be back to a regularly scheduled blogging routine. I am simply saying I am enjoying my SL again so some blog posts will be flowing in here and there. Not without some changes though. I will probably cut down on the amount of pictures taken and also get used to some wall blogging to simplify things for myself. Hopefully it won't be too much of a change for you! Hopefully it's a good change <3 Moving on though! If you've been a part of Gia's World, then you know this is my favorite time of year! Like so many of us Spooky-Boo's, I tend to shine a bit during Autumn. I live for all things spooky, creepy, all that good stuff! So I saw Dizzy, owner of DRBC, post an ad of this super adorbs dress that is all the sexy and spooky mixed into one! One of my favorite combinations. I had to doll it up and show you all. Have you been to visit Retro Rewind yet? I know it's hard to keep caught up with events. After my lil break, I was overwhelmed with trying to play catch up! I will do my best to keep you as updated as I can but one of my favorite places to keep an eye on new events/releases is the Essential Inventory facebook page. Make sure to make your way over to Retro Rewind and snag all the DRBC!
Btw, the sim I was at for the pics was super cute! I think there is a hunt going on there and they do some rp'ing I think...well the skellie guy that was trying to talk to me seemed to be RP'ing lol. I know, I know. Come punish me. I've been gone so long but like I said in the last posts, it was all for a very good reason. I needed a break from SL to refresh the noggin, I needed to refocus, yadda yadda yadda...you get the point <3
I love that I came back to tons of yumminess though! Right in time for Hair Fair 2016 and everything, my wallet is so pissed at me haha. It's okay though. I actually didn't go all out at this Hair Fair. I bought quite a few, don't get me wrong....I guess I just had my heart set on my vintage hairstyles, maybe that was only me (and Dizzy lol) because I didn't spot a single one there. But I keep seeing sumo bun things -_- but if you like that style, right on!
So I owe DRD a helluva lot of blog posts! Woah talk about busy! So I am featuring Death Row Designs twice in this post, and I sure wont complain. So much cute! I loved this vintage furniture set. All my fellow vintage collectors are going to want this baby for sure. It is at the Crossroads Event which starts the 3rd of each month. It's featuring styles/things from Apocalypse, Contemporary, Cute, Lust, RolePlay to Vintage! Sounds fun to me! If you haven't already been there to check it out and grab all the things, make sure you do! My super adorbs heels are also by DRD and are at the ULTRA event which runs from July 15th-August 15th. The socks are optional and they're lace mesh. Kinda hard to see in my pic so you're just going to have to go snag your own! I loved them with my catty print dress by none other than....can you guess? DRBC! Of course! Hey guys and dolls! Hope you all enjoyed the weekend and are ready to kick off a new week.
This blog post is pretty special to me, lemme tell you why. My love for DRBC is no secret to the residents of Gia's World. When I walked into the place upon my return to SL a few years ago, I fell in love with its originality and quality....and then I met the owner who is now someone close to my heart. So, am I bias? Hell yes. There, I admit it. It's official. Take a picture, make a stamp. Now, the owner (Dizzy) is learning to mesh! I, for one, am super excited about it because...I've seen such amazing things from her already and when the possibilities are limitless, I think we're going to be blown away. The first all original DRBC mesh release is out and though it is small, it is precious! All my witchy friends will agree that it is another gem that belongs on you at all times. It is customized for Slink, but as you can see, I am wearing it on Maitreya hands and it was a quick and easy adjustment. It also has a HUD so you can play with color options. Just a heads up, this ring will remain on me, you'll remember, 'ah yeah, that's why Gia wears that ring all the time..'!
My cuuuuute shoes are by none other than FK Designs who has actually dropped a few new releases! I am just forever trying to catch up with these people lol. But make sure you head over to the FK Designs official Facebook Page to keep updated on all the thangs! The clown shoes are a new FK release you will want too!
I found this gem of a sim on Explore Second Life. A lot of bloggers have been there, especially on this train track so...don't be surprised if you see a lot of us here lol. It's an all around gorgeous sim. Tons of little corners, cozy ones, to take pics in, hang out or snuggle, or hang out and snuggle!

Let me tell you something about love...it's a real bitch! Of the many topics I am impassioned with, love and relationships is one of them. My family, friends, acquaintances, etc. come to me on this topic because I've unfortunately had to deal with a lot of bullshit in my short life already. I'm going to be pretty blunt with you all in this blog post so, there you go, & here we go!
Let's start with Second Life since we're all here enjoying this other worldly experience. When I started SL....I had no intentions of EVER getting involved here. I was involved in my RL anyway (albeit with an asshole, but hey, more life experience and knowledge on this topic!). There are SO many people in this Second Life though, you never know who you will run into. So unless you come into this place ballsy enough to displace your heart, or with enough knowledge to do just that, then...never say never is all I have to say.
I did end up falling for someone in SL and I was burned pretty bad in a online tumultuous relationship that lasted nearly 4 years. SL time that is what...50 years?! Hah. What I learned in the end is that, long distance relationships take a lot of hard work, patience, TRUST. Regular relationships do too but this even more so. Second Life seems to add to the dramatics of it all (duh factor) but people always there to be the devil on your shoulder, even the angel on your shoulder is sometimes a devil in disguise. This experience was so bad for me that I ended up dropping that avatar entirely. I don't keep that avatar a secret, her name was Gia too lol. I just didn't like all the attachment that was on her. It's hard to explain. Kind of like baggage that was attached. The memories wouldn't leave. No matter if I switched environments, friends, etc. Starting new, even though the name remained the same...seemed to be what worked for me.
I find myself in SL not seeking love, just seeking company, if that even....more so seeking the company of the next thing that needs to be in my inventory lol. I have my small circle of friends that I am very much in love with and they've changed my Second Life for me entirely. The experience this second time around has been amazing. Not without a few hiccups here and there. Turns out Second Life can sometimes be a third or fourth life...however many tries it takes to get it right! In my Second Life profile it reads, "You learn lessons here and find your purpose, just like RL." That's the truth.
Issues in Second Life to look out for? Actually...you can apply this to RL too lol. Well...firstly be weary of the married person who is seeking TEMPORARY companionship. Unless you are A-okay with that kinda thing, then have at it baby! Do your thang.
A lot of times, people forget that avatars are ran by people! There is a real life person behind the avatar with feelings, with aspirations, expectations. Nobody is to blame in this situation (usually >.>). Sometimes loneliness can drive you to places you never thought yourself capable of and if someone is there to pick up the pieces well...there you go. The problem with that is, sometimes they're only seeking someone to put a band-aid on while still being in love in real life, leaving the person in SL in the end, completely brokenhearted and usually miles/countries away with nothing they can do. That can be a bit of devastating!
Watch out for rebounders! Just out of a relationship and suddenly they're with you...that's going to be issues, believe me! On this note let me spin it a bit... It's Alright to Be Single!
I see people all the time, especially on this holiday talking about single life this and that. Stop it. Enjoy your life. I know at times you're like, 'Well I want a snuggle buddy too!". Well the damn time will come, you will have your moment. For now, quit it. Quit looking for it. Quit waiting for it. The love that falls into your life unexpectedly is the one you will keep longer.
Don't make this holiday only about a significant other either when the real loves of your life are your family.
More Second Life/Online issues..."We were just role playing." No hunny, no. I am in a relationship right now, 7 years strong actually. How did we get there? Roleplay! Lol. We played vampires that eventually got into a relationship and though I told myself we were 'just role playing', I ended up talking to him way more. Trusting him with problems I was having, etc. Although there are people that can keep it professional, I won't exclude the professional ones. I thought I was that good too lol. Sometimes we slip up, what can I say? Mind you, I had only been role playing for like a year when I met him. So yes, there are people that can be strictly in character BUT....if you see your man/woman online with a person they are 'just role playing' with for long amounts of time...check it!
Of course the obvious one is to watch out for stalkers. Although, this is kinda tricky. I have a bit of experience with this but still...there is the occasional one that can surprise. I don't really know what hints I can give you about this. They come off pretty obvious usually. Getting a bit too close, getting a bit too personal a bit too soon. I've known the stalker that would wait around for me even if I was offline. Ones that would send me things and not allow me to return it. Ones that threatened even. That can be scary. Hell, occasionally...one of those assholes still pops in a dream or two because I don't trust his ass to this very day. Like I said, avatars are ran by real life people with real life expectations...be it good or bad. So do be careful on what you share and who you share it with! I know another blogger shared a stalker-ish story not too long ago. It does happen folks. Your shit is not Fort Knox.
There are a plethora of 'obvious' things to be aware of but we'd be here for days! Age! Immaturity (although I've seen that straight last through an adult who is 40+ lol).
Using common sense is key, and yes I know...sometimes common sense is not so common, unfortunately, especially when love can be blinding.
Love in the 21st Century is an entity all in itself. One that is still an enigma. What is it? (Que 'What is Love' song here. Random song quotes, Dizzy gets me with this!) It's always been an enigma, but as our world changes...so do the many approaches to love and how to survive it. Social networking has taken it to different levels. People broadcasting amazing and loving relationships when the truth is...they're sugar coating shit and calling it candy. Let's say they're not...lets say it's all true...then you've hurt another couple because that couple or a person in that relationship is comparing their relationship to yours. Why aren't we that happy? Why doesn't he/she do that for me? And it goes on and on.
This is a new world we live in. When push comes to shove, this is where I think...maybe the walls they tell us to drop aren't so bad. Maybe keeping a few of those walls up for the sake of survival is what we really need to do.
Ah the things that inspire me in Second Life. This little chained heart is a special from Remarkable Oblivion out for Valentines Day. Not sure how long it will be there but it's at the main store. I was not only inspired by the heart but also by a song. One that will be inspiring a few more of my blog pics here in the future so I hope you won't mind seeing my fembot a few more times! I love her so!

As all residents of Gia's World know, I can never get enough of DRBC! This little outfit was released for Erotigacha. I was away during that time so I didn't have a chance to show it off but it couldn't sit there without recognition in Gia's World! I know a lot of you would love it as much as I did. There are several different print options available that you will definitely want!
Whenever I can flaunt my 'Witchy' wardrobe in SL or in RL, I am all for it and this is surely one you will want in your collection too.

Hello my lovelies! It's the weekend! Let us rejoice! The long work weeks make the weekend that much sweeter.
So Halloween is officially 8 days away! I swear this month just flies by so fast! If there's ever a time when I can relate just a lil to being bipolar, it's during October. You get that high in the beginning of the month. All the sweet smells of Autumn that start in September are only intensified and it is so intoxicating! As the end of the month comes (so damn quickly!) the high just drops and it is upsetting. We need a pause button in life. Someone get on that!
In other news though!
There's a little event going on in Second Life called 'The Truth About Bats & Avies' brought to you by SL Goth. Several designers from SL have gathered together in an effort to bring awareness of the rapid decline in the bat population, white nose syndrome, and other things threatening their existence. Proceeds from the event will benefit Bat World Sanctuary which is the only accredited bat sanctuary in the world. How I admire that there are people like that in this world. If only I were a rich woman. I bought things from this event with a smile because it's for a great cause and because there's so much awesomeness there. Other designers include: Spellbound, Sn@tch, The Little Bat, Livid, and More! Make sure to check it out!
I couldn't think of a better brand to be there to support the bats than DRBC. In case you haven't had a chance to get up close and personal (woohoo!) with Ms. Dizzy, owner of DRBC, she is an absolute lover of bats! And I don't mean using them as a cute lil print on clothing (although she does that so well too!) I mean she just simply thinks they're adorbs! So it is no surprise to me to see DRBC there with a gorgeous batty dress! The dress is called 'Vampira' and it so reminded me of Vampira.
The quest to look like Vampira in SL I thought would be a simple one but it wasn't. Just so you know SL hair creators...there is no Vampira hair in SL! We (I had Dizzy helping me look for hair lol) scoured SL for hair similar to Vampira's. My requirements were the center part and the hairline and if possible, I wanted the vintage curls at the bottom. Nothing was found. Not.Ever! Spellbound had the closest thing that I wanted. The hairline was there because you're originally supposed to wear barrettes with it. The bottom of my hair is edited in the top pic to curl under. Originally, it hangs a bit straighter.
Dark Passions Koffin Nails is also participating in the event with some adorbs batty nail appliers for Slink, Maitreya and Belleza. I even included a closie for them, I loved them that much <3

We are like what...2 days into World Goth Fair! Have you invaded it yet?! Hells, I was allll over it days before it opened, but special blogger stuffs and all, we're allowed to so there! So I was able to see a lot of the awesomeness though a lot of the shops weren't set up yet so I will have to swing by again later!
As I have mentioned before, RL has been super hectic for me so this was my first year in a few years that I decided to not be an official blogger for World Goth Fair. I didn't want to make any promises I couldn't keep. However, I figured I would blog what I could on my own dime and on my own time. I snagged several goodies.
So just to go over a few things. In previous years, World Goth Fair was a charity event for the Sophie Landcaster Foundation but due to complications that were outlined in the World Goth Fair blog post, it is no longer so. I know this saddened a few of us but I trust that Axi and Lokii know what is best for the event and for the Goth community in SL.
The month of May holds a grand day for us 'Goths'. World Goth Day is May 22nd. This is a day we let our freak flags fly a little higher than usual. A little prouder, a little more prominent. Enough to let the rest of the world know we're here, we're strange, we're dark, we're okay with it. Amongst all of it...don't forget we also love passionately and have feelings like all the rest.
I've went on many a rant about my views on goths and some of those in the scene feeling rather 'gothier than thou' so, I will spare you all. Just keep in mind that, like it was said in a picture I saw on Facebook, "Goth should be liberating, not confining". Are you Victorian Goth? Nu Goth? Bubble Goth? Industrial Goth? ....Whatever you are, I love all of your Gothiness, and that's simply how it should be! <3
