Hey luvs! Told you I would be back soon! Not soon enough, I know. If it were up to me, I would be here daily....nah, not really. That lil break allows for some inspiration to build and that is always a good thing.
I had yet another chance to tap into some of that cyber-ish styling and you know whenever I can do it, I will jump on it!
It's not too often that we see hair creators in Second Life go above and beyond the norm. That is in NO way disrespecting a single one of them, No no no. I love my SL hair stylers! What they do is not easy, at least not to me lol. Just like with clothing though, you get styles that are often similar, gorgeous...but still similar to others. Occasionally though, there's that one...and you all know what I am talking about. That one that stands out. I love .Shi for that! It seems that recently more hair styles have been available from .Shi and I definitely will not complain about that! I hope we get to see a lot more! They're new, fresh, unique, cutting edge.
I love that you can use them, I can use them, he and she can use them! They work for every genre I can imagine and that kind of flexibility is  pretty awesome.
If you click on the .Shi link above, there are some pretty interesting factoids about the owner of the shop. I love getting to know the people in my SL like that. It's inspiring to read about a person who started out in SL and went on to bring creations into RL. I know of several.
Also a lil bit intimidating because her creations in RL and SL are ah-may-zin! So I will have to have my creative hat on to show you allll the things they way they need to be shown! I'm up for a bit of a challenge!
I was able to combine my badass hair style with a tattoo I fell in love with! I missed it last month during the Mens Only Monthly event. It's now out at the main store so check out 7 Prodigy for the rest of the goods!
Of course, I featured a closie of my nails too. I am pretty much always wearing Dark Passions on my nails. The only time I don't credit my nails in my blog posts is when you cant see them but in any case, just know I have Dark Passions on them anyway lol.

A Second Life Survivors Guide To Love In The 21st Century

Let me tell you something about love...it's a real bitch! Of the many topics I am impassioned with, love and relationships is one of them. My family, friends, acquaintances, etc. come to me on this topic because I've unfortunately had to deal with a lot of bullshit in my short life already. I'm going to be pretty blunt with you all in this blog post so, there you go, & here we go!

Let's start with Second Life since we're all here enjoying this other worldly experience. When I started SL....I had no intentions of EVER getting involved here. I was involved in my RL anyway (albeit with an asshole, but hey, more life experience and knowledge on this topic!). There are SO many people in this Second Life though, you never know who you will run into. So unless you come into this place ballsy enough to displace your heart, or with enough knowledge to do just that, then...never say never is all I have to say. 

I did end up falling for someone in SL and I was burned pretty bad in a online tumultuous relationship that lasted nearly 4 years. SL time that is what...50 years?! Hah. What I learned in the end is that, long distance relationships take a lot of hard work, patience, TRUST. Regular relationships do too but this even more so. Second Life seems to add to the dramatics of it all (duh factor) but people always there to be the devil on your shoulder, even the angel on your shoulder is sometimes a devil in disguise. This experience was so bad for me that I ended up dropping that avatar entirely. I don't keep that avatar a secret, her name was Gia too lol. I just didn't like all the attachment that was on her. It's hard to explain. Kind of like baggage that was attached. The memories wouldn't leave. No matter if I switched environments, friends, etc. Starting new, even though the name remained the same...seemed to be what worked for me.
I find myself in SL not seeking love, just seeking company, if that even....more so seeking the company of the next thing that needs to be in my inventory lol. I have my small circle of friends that I am very much in love with and they've changed my Second Life for me entirely. The experience this second time around has been amazing. Not without a few hiccups here and there. Turns out Second Life can sometimes be a third or fourth life...however many tries it takes to get it right! In my Second Life profile it reads, "You learn lessons here and find your purpose, just like RL." That's the truth.

Issues in Second Life to look out for? Actually...you can apply this to RL too lol. Well...firstly be weary of the married person who is seeking TEMPORARY companionship. Unless you are A-okay with that kinda thing, then have at it baby! Do your thang.
A lot of times, people forget that avatars are ran by people! There is a real life person behind the avatar with feelings, with aspirations, expectations. Nobody is to blame in this situation (usually >.>). Sometimes loneliness can drive you to places you never thought yourself capable of and if someone is there to pick up the pieces well...there you go. The problem with that is, sometimes they're only seeking someone to put a band-aid on while still being in love in real life, leaving the person in SL in the end, completely brokenhearted and usually miles/countries away with nothing they can do. That can be a bit of devastating!
Watch out for rebounders! Just out of a relationship and suddenly they're with you...that's going to be issues, believe me! On this note let me spin it a bit...
It's Alright to Be Single!
I see people all the time, especially on this holiday talking about single life this and that. Stop it. Enjoy your life. I know at times you're like, 'Well I want a snuggle buddy too!". Well the damn time will come, you will have your moment. For now, quit it. Quit looking for it. Quit waiting for it. The love that falls into your life unexpectedly is the one you will keep longer.
Don't make this holiday only about a significant other either when the real loves of your life are your family. 

More Second Life/Online issues..."We were just role playing." No hunny, no. I am in a relationship right now, 7 years strong actually. How did we get there? Roleplay! Lol. We played vampires that eventually got into a relationship and though I told myself we were 'just role playing', I ended up talking to him way more. Trusting him with problems I was having, etc. Although there are people that can keep it professional, I won't exclude the professional ones. I thought I was that good too lol. Sometimes we slip up, what can I say? Mind you, I had only been role playing for like a year when I met him. So yes, there are people that can be strictly in character BUT....if you see your man/woman online with a person they are 'just role playing' with for long amounts of time...check it!

Of course the obvious one is to watch out for stalkers. Although, this is kinda tricky. I have a bit of experience with this but still...there is the occasional one that can surprise. I don't really know what hints I can give you about this. They come off pretty obvious usually. Getting a bit too close, getting a bit too personal a bit too soon. I've known the stalker that would wait around for me even if I was offline. Ones that would send me things and not allow me to return it. Ones that threatened even. That can be scary. Hell, occasionally...one of those assholes still pops in a dream or two because I don't trust his ass to this very day. Like I said, avatars are ran by real life people with real life expectations...be it good or bad. So do be careful on what you share and who you share it with! I know another blogger shared a stalker-ish story not too long ago. It does happen folks. Your shit is not Fort Knox.

There are a plethora of 'obvious' things to be aware of but we'd be here for days! Age! Immaturity (although I've seen that straight last through an adult who is 40+ lol).
Using common sense is key, and yes I know...sometimes common sense is not so common, unfortunately, especially when love can be blinding.

Love in the 21st Century is an entity all in itself. One that is still an enigma. What is it? (Que 'What is Love' song here. Random song quotes, Dizzy gets me with this!) It's always been an enigma, but as our world changes...so do the many approaches to love and how to survive it. Social networking has taken it to different levels. People broadcasting amazing and loving relationships when the truth is...they're sugar coating shit and calling it candy. Let's say they're not...lets say it's all true...then you've hurt another couple because that couple or a person in that relationship is comparing their relationship to yours. Why aren't we that happy? Why doesn't he/she do that for me? And it goes on and on.
This is a new world we live in. When push comes to shove, this is where I think...maybe the walls they tell us to drop aren't so bad. Maybe keeping a few of those walls up for the sake of survival is what we really need to do.

Ah the things that inspire me in Second Life. This little chained heart is a special from Remarkable Oblivion out for Valentines Day. Not sure how long it will be there but it's at the main store. I was not only inspired by the heart but also by a song. One that will be inspiring a few more of my blog pics here in the future so I hope you won't mind seeing my fembot a few more times! I love her so!

These are a few tips for your survival, writing a real guide for this shit...would take me forever!!

Places in Second Life have slowly started to become covered in all the fluffy white stuff...yes, I do mean snow. Right now, I appreciate it. I am from the northern part of the U.S. so I grew up around many feet of snow during the winter. Winter just isn't winter unless you have to navigate icy roads and can sit in the back yard building igloos. Well, we tried anyway. We never actually could get to the ceiling part of it, we'd just get some pretty high walls going before my siblings wanted to start an all out snowball war and then...the walls were no more. 

The sim owners in Second Life have such talent though. I don't know how they manage to pull an entire place together. The smallest details are always what get me. Ironwood Hills has been a favorite of mine, several of my blog pictures are linked back to it. Creepy and gorgeous with one of the best graveyards in Second Life. Make sure to pay it a visit.

Remarkable Oblivion has given us some more wings to play with. So many of us are still in the RO wings that were released awhile ago. Just like those, these are also gorgeous! With a darker vibe though, at least that's how I saw it. These are available at We <3 Roleplay, be sure not to miss them!

Hey guys and dolls! SO much to catch up on but hey it's the weekend!

If you're a long time resident of Gia's World then you know that Dia De Los Muertos is a celebration that I've loved since I was just a lil girl. It's a part of my heritage, a part of my family. Not just sugar skulls and marigolds but something with so much meaning behind it! Although, I cannot ever get enough of my sugar skulls and fluffy flowers. I love that so many people fell in love with it too, people of all cultures. It's a time to look back on memories with our loved ones that have passed on. Remember their life and the things they loved and celebrate with them for a day (in my case, 3 days). The sweet smells, photographs, personal items, etc. bring our loved ones right to the present and make you feel as if they are there with you....maybe they are! Maybe you don't understand this part at all, maybe you just love the sugar skulls, in any case...it's a gorgeous holiday and one we love to dress up for!

Glam Affair has an awesome release for the new round of Collabor88. These lovely appliers for Lelutka Mesh Head stole my heart! There's several different styles but this was one of my favs. Here are the others!

All Things Witchy

This trend has been on for awhile though more recently in our Second Life....it seems to have caught fire! It's a good thing because it is a good style. When it's done good, it can be amazing!
I fell in love with American Horror Story when I finally gave it a chance. AHS:Coven was season three of the show and I swear it helped push this style right along. Creepy school girl kinda look? Pretty much! With school starting up, it was something that had to be done.
So Livid released this awesome lil gacha with so many goodies that you will need. If you haven't been there already. They should match perfectly with everything you will be snagging at Collabor88 which just opened at 12am SLT!
I was also sure to include the awesome RARE owl by Remarkable Oblivion which is at The Arcade this round. He's such a little cutie!
The awesome skin I am in is by Glam Affair featured at We <3 Roleplay this round. There are several different Lelutka appliers, this was one of my favs and it fit the picture well.

"I'm Taking Control, I'll Assimilate Your Soul, I Will Rule Your Mind..."

I am sure you have all heard me many times go on my lil rants about how Goth in SL needs to 'evolve'...by saying that, I am usually talking about the flexi that has stayed in a lot of the clothes, system clothes (although when done right with appliers can be great!).
Also thinking outside of the box. In EVERY genre, not only Goth...the best thing we can do is put things together because WE like it. Because it feels and looks great to YOU. Regardless if some asshole is sitting there telling you how crappy it looks, how they don't like it, how they would never wear it, how it looks ridiculous, etc etc. That is THEIR point of view and not yours. You will find that they often wear things that you just shake your head at and wonder what the hell they were thinking when they put that together. It's all about perspective and everyone has a different one. What I wish is that more people were aware at just how rude they are when voicing theirs. Not everyone has to agree with your perspective, and you cannot force them to. What you will end up doing, if that person is like me, is pushing them away. So...careful of your words. Honest opinions are always a good things but never force your personal style/views etc. on anyone.
One of my recent obsessions has been a newer blogger named Judas. Of course he's sexy, Do I have to point that out? That's obvious but far beyond that is his sense of style. Quite honestly, it's like one I have not seen before. It's edgy, it's goth and sometimes not, it's Androgynous and sometimes not, it's unique, it's incredibly sexy....quite simply put, I can't think of a better person who's claws I'd rather have on my bewbage than his! He's not afraid to wear guyliner, nail polish and heels...I just adore it! So, love all over his blog, as it is male AND female friendly!  <3 your Judas! You can put your claws on me any day! Check out his blog, bookmark it and luff the fluff out of it!

Hey guys and dolls! I thought I would go to another part of Gia's World this week. It's not a part of me that is seen too often but it is a part of me that is there nonetheless. 

I always hope that my readers, my friends, everyone...understand why I named my blog 'Gia's World'. Not to be a narcissist haha. No, I named it that because there are SO many different sides of me. I can't just claim to blog one style of clothing when I love so many different styles. From Goth to Rockabilly, Fantasy, Fancy, Chic, Casual, and oh so many in between, it's all found in Gia's World. They're all different parts that make up me...Gia <3

So Sn@tch hasn't made an appearance here in awhile. Blame Ivey, hurry, everyone go prod her for not making these sooner lol. So she makes these gorgeous lil hip hugging pants and they just so happen to have the name 'Gia' in it (cuzshelovesmelongtimemhmm) and so I HAD to have them in Gia's World! They come in several different colors, have a nice rounded tush (no odd flat butt), and fit the Maitreya mesh body really well, which is what I have on in the pic and rarely take off. 

Mind you, this is Ivey's previous release....because this woman already released more Sn@tch goodies! Seriously, she is so very hard to keep up with. One Against the World

Holy hells this was a post of epic proportions! Oh man so....Arcade is...what, tomorrow?! Oi! Everyone staple your wallets shut naow or may it rest in pieces!
The amazing-ness I have seen from so many creators has me just like, jaw on the floor and ready to hit the teleport as we speak! I am beyond excited. From hair to clothes, accessories, and home decor it's just...like I said, all out wallet wars.
Speaking of war...some of my favs will be there, some of your favs too right?! Death Row Designs and Remarkable Oblivion. Oh man, oh man, oh man....I couldn't help but create an uber mash up of the two since they went together like peanut butter cups in my book! I was fan girl flailing and rolling around in it all and I am certain...that this will not be the last time I will play with this set. There were too many pictures in my head that were inspired by it all. I know I lowered my pic count down by a lot but I couldn't help myself with this one so, I hope you'll bear with me <3
The quality and attention to detail on both DRD and RO's end is just insane. Gas masks in SL are a dime a dozen but none like this. I will hold it, and caress it lovingly. Also the RO boots...must I say more? RO has already made us shoes that we've fell in love with and this is no exception. Must have gear for my Post-Apocalyptic followers! MUST HAVE.
So I zoomed in on just a couple, JUST A COUPLE because I was already like...oh my gosh I am going to make everyone run screaming from all the pic flooding but well like I said...attention to detail.
So here are a few closies of my favs from the DRD set that will be available at Arcade this round!

There were just so many little things that I was like, "Oh wait, lemme snap this, and this...and this and that tooo!" So anyway yes, go there, attack all things DRD and RO and be nice and trade fairly, give presents to friends or love on a newb...it's all a good thing <3

Voules vou? Do you want to...what? Finish the sentence! The Burlesque event opened with lots of pretty stuffs and corsets galore! Seriously I couldn't begin to tell you my favs, there were so many. This was also the place to snag the cute & sexay stockings for your bodies ladies! Canibelle is there with a super sexy garter stocking set that I adored.

Death Row Designs is there as well but of course, leave it to the DRD gang to come up with a lil replica of Moulin Rouge! I was just smitten with it. Front to back it is quite an eye full. VIP seating, floor seating, loaded bar, stage, hidden room (In  the windmill!!) Short story. I knew there was a hidden room, I don't know why I didn't know where the hidden room was. I did look in the building but for some reason didn't see it in the windmill. I'm glad the creators were offline and I didn't have a chance to bug them about it because when I did find the hidden room with the vanity and the cute bed and everything in it, I did indeed slap my own forehead.
This is a set that I hope many had a chance to snag. Business owners, club owners, and land owners alike it's a place you will want around for private gatherings or social gatherings. It's just that gorgeous! The entrance was amazing too!

With lots of animations and a great environment, it has great RP potential too. So like I said, just everyone go grab it all.

The loverly manicure in my pic is by none other than Dark Passions of course! Make sure to keep your eye on that one. If you like getting your nails done in SL as much as I do, that'll definitely be one of your favs! Especially if there's a place in your heart for the darker side of things and well, we all know the darker side of things is much loved in Gia's World!

"Evil Queens Are the Princesses That Were Never Saved..."

When I was a young girl, I remember questioning things in stories that would make my teachers smile and give me funny looks, in a good way. One of the things I wondered about was why the evil Queen in the story was evil. I would ask and sometimes they would give me a half-assed explanation but most of the time they would simply say she wasn't the focus of the story. I always wanted to know why she was the way she was, why she did the things she did.

If you're wondering, yes I did/do love Maleficent the movie and loved the Disney character. 

When I took this photo and found this pretty, dark little part of this sim...a dark Queen is what I was reminded of. But I never forget that in Gia's World, the Dark Queens have a reason for being Dark or Evil.

My lovely horns atop my head are by Remarkable Oblivion, available at The Secret Affair and of course they're stunning as usual! They're available in 2 different colors, this dark color and a 'dusk' which would essentially be the ivory tone. You'll want them both believe me! Also resizable. Yours don't have to be as big as mine...I just like mine like that :P

I honestly believe...whole heartedly...that I am the biggest Joan Jett fan to ever exist. I know, I know...that is quite daring to say, as I know she has such a huge fan base but..I will be ballsy enough to say it! If there is a bit of Joan Jett memorabilia, I own it. If she's playing anywhere near me, I am there. If Joan Jett is performing YOU STAND UP! YOU DANCE! YOU SING ALONG! But hey, that's just me. I just adore this woman. Her lyrics, her talent on guitar, her dance moves, her attitude, just her as a person allll around! The woman is timeless. It's 2015 and I get goosebumps listening to her still and I doubt that will ever change. I've listened to her since I was a little girl and I still have the urge to jump around and get all wild, same as back then. 

Needless to say, when I saw this shirt by FK Designs I was just ecstatic! If I am blogging something, it is of course because it has inspired me in some way...but this look I have going on above is probably hands down one of Gia's favs. As a blogger, my look is forever changing, as eclectic as I am, so are my styles....hey, someone has to keep you all on your toes! But if I weren't a blogger, and I could just chill, this is probably a look you would see Gia in quite often if not almost always.  I'm surprised I don't see more of it. Maybe I am just not around the right places enough (and if you are around those places, feel free to nudge me and say "Hey Gia! Wtf, where have you been?!" The punk genre is one I have only in the past few years been exposed to, but one my heart seems to have bonded with right away. And you're not doing punk right if you don't have some FK on, I don't care what you say lol. So, having said that...this top came with one kick ass HUD...

Neeeeedless to say, I just had a ball playing with these pics! I've been experimenting more in photoshop with lighting and blur of course and doing a Fifth Element action shot was the perfect project for the job! 

DRBC dropped a loverly little dress for the anniversary round of Suicide Dollz! Happy Anniversary Suicide Dollz! With over 60 designers participating, this is a round you most definitely do not want to miss! Well, don't miss any round but if you miss this one it's a high five to the forehead for you! Lol

So, it's been my goal since the beginning of the creation of Gia's World to show you things that I simply adore, admire, look forward to, etc., in Second Life. Main one of course is the many designers who I fan girl over because of their talent. Of course, without saying much, you all know one of the designers who I love long time but there's a reason of course! And I really hope you can see that here. The reason I chose to blog the plan white Leeloo dress (Although there is another dress available with a color HUD!), is because of the texture. Although I had fun in photoshop with my pictures, I really wanted to show the texture of my dress in my bottom portrait. I didn't photoshop the dress AT ALL in the bottom pic. Played with my skin, hair, lighting but not the dress.  While in SL I have seen so much mesh clothes that is supposed to be white but it looks like it had paint dumped on it rather than any texture at all...but if I've done my job right, you can see clearly that this dress has an insanely great texture to it! I just have to applaud her on a job well done as there aren't too many that do white on mesh like so.

2181 Days...

Our world is a vicious one and the fight is endless...and even when you think you've made it, you can finally relax, take that little breath and kick your feet up, there's always someone else there to knock you back on your ass. Welcome to reality. 

There is something to be thankful for though...and I really had to search for this one so, feel special. I think we've all read that Facebook picture that rolls across our feed several hundred times a day that says "Be Kind, For Everyone You Meet Is Fighting A Hard Battle", but look into it, think about it. It holds so much truth. Nobody knows what you or I are going through. I know, I can at least be thankful I've made it this far...since in this past year I've seen people who I thought to be far greater than I crumble under a battle I fight every single day. So hold your heads high, fight the battle, but be considerate. Be Thankful for what you have and for what you don't have...tomorrow is never promised. 

What is promised is that DRBC keeps me insanely busy! I'm like YEAH I can finally blog this! And here comes another release! Not complaining though! If I am busy so are you! All my sponsors keep me busy! The trench badassery I have on has literally DAYS left before it is out of Suicide Dollz so grab it before it's gone foreverrrr!!! (or until she puts it on the marketplace lol) And then keep your eyes locked on the next round of Suicide Dollz because it's a stunner! I'll try my damnedest to get right on it! 

Also, take your butts to Genre if you haven't been there already. I've already blogged a few things from there in my last post and my wonderful peg leg by DRD is there as well and it is a MUST HAVE!
