Yep! Someone got me into watching 'Vikings'!! Finally. Where the hell has this show been all my life? It didn't take me but a few minutes to fall in love with it...all bias aside since the lead role 'Ragnar Lothbrok' has a striking similarity to my beau. Be all the jelly gals! I love the story line, I love the scenery, the costumes, the acting...I love it all. I only just finished season one, have to finish season 2 because season 3 is right around the corner! Date night with a gal pal tonight to binge watch season 2! So excited!
So I took this opportunity to mash up a lil Eudora awesome-ness and create a nice like Viking outfit for myself before running off into battle alongside the men. Because yes, the beau made sure to tell me that although they thought it only to be men at first...they found that some of the bones that were buried with weapons and armor were that of females. Women were fighting right along with the men and I so so love that!
If you haven't invaded the Fantasy Gacha Carnival, go do so! There's so many things that'll steal your lindens. Even the randomness. Seriously, I will walk past a gacha, no idea what it really is but it looks insanely cute and so before I know it I have a few oddballthings in my inventory. That's okay though! We all find the right place and time to use them.

It's seriously attack of the RO Wings lol. They're gorgeous though! You can't really help but love them and want to wear them in all different ways. So this post was due SO long ago but let me tell you of my struggles! It got real! How hard is it to find a gothy guy in Second Life?! Well I am sure we walk past a ton of them daily while on our shopping sprees but for some reason, they were evading me! *insert mean face here*
So I had to hunt one down. Thankfully, my fellow blogger friend Dev jumped on board for this awesome adventure with me! It is quite difficult to find Victorian goth clothes in SL that has been updated to our classy mesh stuff. Most of is is outdated and flexi. Lets fix this! If you read my previous blog, well you know my rant on the goth issues lol. So glad Dev has quite the wardrobe himself and was able to put an Phantom-esqe ensemble together. So hauntingly gorgeous! He did his job well in putting me in the mood for the photo session!
I was lucky enough to be able to see this on stage many years ago and I was just...jaw on the floor the whole time. I have been in love with this ever since then. I fell in love with Andrew Lloyd Webber and his insane talent and also Sarah Brightman and her gorgeous voice! When I saw the movie, I wasn't a hater...I just fell in love with it even more...and fell in love with Gerard Butler! Lol.
Death Row Designs is just hands down one of Gia's World's all time favorites, EVER! Jaimy now works side by side with her sister (Eowyn) and her partner in crime (Tito) and the three of them together seem to be a team of badassery! I will have to try and steal Jaimy for a moment and get her to give Gia's World a mini interview sometime, see if we can get some DRD behind the scenes info!
I was just amazed with the 'Phantom Lair' set available at the Oh My Gacha event. Yes, this event has been open for a bit, I'm late but look at it like this..at least you dont have to fight the masses to get in now! Lol and you still have 11 days left. Utilize those days well because this is definitely a set you will want. Especially my fellow Goths who love their candles and red velvet throws and whatnot. I hope I'm so late that you've already collected this WHOLE DAMN THING! It's just so stunning!
There's a total of 19 pieces to collect. The Bed, the Boat and the couch have over a hundred animations including.. cover your virgin eyes now....rated X animations! Animated Organ and the pile of trunks are animated as well.
Impeccable detail, exceptional quality and likeliness to what was in the actual movie will make you NEED these! Prepare your Phantom play list and wardrobes and get lost in this stuff, believe me, I did!

Oh so sorry my blog posts are far and few in between. It is the holidays though. But even so...just busy, busy, busy! Too many things to do and not enough Gia's! I know I promised to shorten it down to like one pic but man, I blame Maria Brink for it though. I had that 'Sick Like Me' song stuck in my head foreverrrrr and so I just ran with it and let it inspire my post.
I hope you've all had a chance to make your way to Gothmas by Gaslight. I am wearing Sakide in black, although this outfit is at Gothmas by Gaslight in white as well and just as stunning! It also comes with its own set of heels though I wanted something a lil more risque so I went with something several feet higher! Hah. I had the dress on in white first but felt very out of place so I went back to my comfort zone <3
Christmas is right around the corner and I am hoping I can get in a post this year! *crosses fingers*

My dearest apologies for not getting this blog out like daaaaays ago but you see I have a good reason, which will be located on the bottom of this post.
After a lil talk with my friend Anika, I decided that this house was far too great to just feature a few pictures of it here and there, I wanted to do something different.
This house and all of the awesome little knick-knacks in it are by Death Row Designs and are available at the Arcade this December round. Oh ho ho so many things at the Arcade that just made me want to slap the designers lovingly with my lindens. Lol. But this is definitely one of the gacha machines you're not going to want to miss.
With the attention to detail and the nice warmth the little quirky house gives, it's simply a must have for this time of year and one you'll want to put out every Christmas! My favorite part of the house was of course dear old Ebenezer's bedroom. You can just tell how much work was put into all of this. Death Row Designs is a team now and I think they do a damn great job together! They always leave me eagerly anticipating their next project.
So this was my first time in a loooong time playing with video, and then on top of that I decided to get a new program so you might be seeing more videos from me (maybe, no promises! Time permitting!! Gia is a busy busy lady). So be nice as far as judging lol and enjoy my little walk through of Ebenezer's house and I hope it entices you to go snag it and enjoy its warmth this holiday season...before the Ghost of Christmas Past comes to haunt you! Our world is a vicious one and the fight is endless...and even when you think you've made it, you can finally relax, take that little breath and kick your feet up, there's always someone else there to knock you back on your ass. Welcome to reality.
There is something to be thankful for though...and I really had to search for this one so, feel special. I think we've all read that Facebook picture that rolls across our feed several hundred times a day that says "Be Kind, For Everyone You Meet Is Fighting A Hard Battle", but look into it, think about it. It holds so much truth. Nobody knows what you or I are going through. I know, I can at least be thankful I've made it this far...since in this past year I've seen people who I thought to be far greater than I crumble under a battle I fight every single day. So hold your heads high, fight the battle, but be considerate. Be Thankful for what you have and for what you don't have...tomorrow is never promised.
What is promised is that DRBC keeps me insanely busy! I'm like YEAH I can finally blog this! And here comes another release! Not complaining though! If I am busy so are you! All my sponsors keep me busy! The trench badassery I have on has literally DAYS left before it is out of Suicide Dollz so grab it before it's gone foreverrrr!!! (or until she puts it on the marketplace lol) And then keep your eyes locked on the next round of Suicide Dollz because it's a stunner! I'll try my damnedest to get right on it!

Can I talk to you all as friends? Can I pretend that we're close...that we've been friends for years and I am writing you a letter? In the past few weeks, months...I've not been too honest with you. Oh my loves, my deepest apologies for not being here for you! But if you know me then I am sure you understand why. Halloween is such a busy time for my little family and right after it is Dia de los Muertos which we have celebrated for many many many generations in our family. Far beyond sugar skulls and face paints, it is something we hold dear and sacred. From the feast to the clothing we chose to wear for three days straight. Music, altars, photographs, homemade candles, homemade sweetbreads and our family favorites. It's something I am hoping to keep going strong so that generations to come will continue the tradition. So you see? I wasn't ignoring a single one of you, that I promise.
Of course I will come back to you with DRBC breathing some life back into me, so to speak.
I had a chance to celebrate a lil bit of my Dia de los Muertos with some friends at The Rubb that always throw the best Day of the Dead bash evar! It is a day long event (literally) and attending their events is almost like attending class. You will want to bring a pen and paper and take note because these people know their music like no other. I always come back from their events searching down artists and buying tunes online! This is the outfit I rocked there that day.

I'm so glad I finally made it over to Pumpkin Town! Such a cute little place that brought back so many childhood Halloween memories. Definitely pay it a visit if you haven't.
So today is the FINAL day for Vintage & Cool and in typical Gia fashion, I had to sneak in a last post before it's gone and we don't see it again for awhile.
I had to get in some Goth1co love, it's a shop that has long been in my Second Life, since the beginning of my days. I'm always happy to see that Keishi (owner of Goth1co), keeps involved in events, hunts, etc and keeps the shop alive. It's good to see the shops that were around in my first days of SL still going strong. Goth1co for The Vintage & Cool Fair had a psychobilly swirl to it and so it won me over. I'll admit that though I love love my rockabilly stuff, psychobilly will win me over hands down!
I complimented it all with a cute bag I snagged from The Little Bat for the Kawaii vs. Creepy Gacha, I love it sooooo!! Spooky and cute at the same time I had to have it on me. Speaking of spooky and cute, MishMish I love love you! Cutest lil monsters evar for the Tag Gacha and I took them out to Trick or Treat with me in the top pic. To complete the look I rounded it off with a nice new pale skin from Skindustrial Bodyworks. A new bloody makeup set is available for this months round of Horror Haute and those smexy red lips are in the package with appliers for Nyam AND Loudmouth. The skin isnt available yet but will be soon and believe me, for my gothy and pale skin lovers, you're going to want it!

What I wanted to say before I go though is that I hope you all really enjoyed yourselves this season. Try to remember what it was like as a kid. I know its not the same for all of us. Some of us are Halloween lovers and some of us enjoy Christmas more...but when I was a kid, it was alllll about Halloween. It was such a big event in our family. We almost never bought costumes because making them homemade was always way better and so much more fun. Anyway those masks from the 80's were a hazard!
That's what I tried to base my top picture on...the spirit of Halloween and never losing it.

Full Steam ahead! A Clockwork Spiral is up and rollin'! There are a number of events that make Gia's World tremble with excitement and this is one of them. I always look forward to how themes inspire people. It's like taking a peek into their mind for a moment. The mind you're catching a glimpse of belongs to none other than one of Gia's World favorites (evar) DRBC! Last year, I wasn't yet a full on blogger during this event but I was already madly in love with DRBC. I saw the dress that was going to be featured at A Clockwork Spiral 2013 (which I blogged here!) and I had to have it! So I went there specifically for that dress but came out with bags and bags of goodies! DRBC is mostly vintage, rockabilly and psychobilly but it never stops her from venturing out and taking over other genres as well and I am SO glad for that! Because as we know, I am eclectic as all hell with my fashion! Yep, I'm that selfish, I simply want it all and enjoy doing so!
This years featured dress is also a mind blowing one! It's also pretty awesome to compare the two and see how much DRBC has evolved since then. The dress allowed me to get in storytelling mode and that is my favorite thing about blogging. Putting together an outfit is one thing but laying out a story for it is quite the other!
This event, besides being a place to upgrade your Steampunk wardrobe, decor, etc...is also an event you want to shop at because a portion of the featured items go to The National Kidney Foundation. Designers for this event were given the option to give 100% of their featured items proceeds to the Kidney Foundation or to make two items, both with 50% of the proceeds going to the Kidney Foundation, in either case...it is a great reason to (and completely justifies the spending of L$$$!) have a blast spending money on some amazing things.
Also don't forget that Cursed events are a bunch of party-hardy people. Haha! That means clubbin' will be had throughout the duration of the event and these parties are ones you will love! Crowd is always pleasant, convos are always interesting, and weird but who doesn't like how weird compliments interesting?! And of course, the music is the best by some of the best music mentors on the grid! This round of We <3 RP is open and I think (personally of course) Arcadia steals the round! There were many things that caught my eye and I snagged a good few (including the bracers I am wearing! Go go Random Matter with your bad self!) So many different storylines that came at me with this dress. I thought of an assassin type photo and then I wanted a demonic photo and then I decided to dig back in my roots and lift my hands to the moon! Aliza Karu has certainly made her mark in my SL. I've blogged her several times already and every time I do, I just have a blast finding another gorgeous sim and bringing her dress to life in whatever way it speaks to me. I did a mashup of another one of her dresses, well not the whole thing but the underlying mesh, the crinkley fabric over my legs is from another one of her dresses. I felt a lil bare under that gorgeously big dress.

I've always loved the post apocalyptic movies. Mad Max, Doomsday, etc. So, although I thought of going for the more Domme look, I opted for the post-apoc biker chick. It's something about those films that makes you wonder what you would do in a post-apoc world. We can all make guesses and try to be badasses but I suppose we'll have to wait our turn!
These pants are a recent FK! Designs release and they are amongst my fav. Say it with me kids, it's something I say often..Mesh is only mesh until a designer breathes life into it! And Frost Kit, owner of FK! Designs did just that. The pants are sexy with so much badassery to pull off my lil other-worldly look.
