I have the worst luck with gachas, but I didn't do too bad this time.

Welcome back to Gia's World!
Yes, I've missed you, I've missed my blog. I can't seem to find the time to be here as much as I'd like to...such is life. I still make my attempts and still have my thousands of pic ideas that just kinda stay floating around in my head.
Sometimes though, there's that something that snags me from my RL and is like "Focus Gia!". That one thing that is so gorgeous/cute/MUST HAVE NAOW! I will make time, some how, some way.
In this case, it is DRBC that brings me back...Are you surprised? Not at all! You all know my love relationship with DRBC. I ran into a Facebook memory the other day...DRBC and I are going like...3 years strong! One of the longest SL relationships I've had! haha. Oh and Hair Fair. Hair Fair drags me back in each time! I snagged this awesome hair by LCKY. I love love the texture options for LCKY hair! Super cute and definitely snag worthy! Aaaand, it's at Hair Fair which is open! Make your way there and get ready for grabby hands!
These cups come in a variety of badass textures, all to your spooky delight! I LOVE them! I honestly couldn't choose which to blog but...this one got me. Gets me in RL even. I needs it to carry around randomly and only hope that it'll work it's magicks for my introvert heart and keep the people away lol. I made a lil gif thing so you could see them all.
My cute lil flashing bikini top is by FK Designs. Make sure to grab those all too! It is available in fitted sizes for Maitreya, Slink, and Belleza bodies. Just had to drop in for another quickie! I wont keep you all long. We've all had a stressful week and a quickie is always a good thing! But it's the weekend so wooooohooo!
So, FK Designs dropped these cutie boots on me a few weeks ago and I looooove them! I know some others released similar ones but these are the best and lemme tell you why. 1) Cuz FK. 2) The bat wings on both sides are ADORBS and 3) Fk kicks ass with textures! The shoelaces look like actual shoelaces and the snozberries taste like snozberries kids!
So over all, the outfit is a smash up of some of my fav designers with of course, DRBC highlighting it. I loves the 'Bitchcraft' on this knot shirt, super cute and very well fitted for Maitreya! I matched it up with the Ouija skirt by Suicidal Unborn and some other fancy shmancy things I just loved. Go play grabby hands and I will meet you RIGHT back here because I have another pic in the works!
Hey guys and dolls! Hope you all enjoyed the weekend and are ready to kick off a new week.
This blog post is pretty special to me, lemme tell you why. My love for DRBC is no secret to the residents of Gia's World. When I walked into the place upon my return to SL a few years ago, I fell in love with its originality and quality....and then I met the owner who is now someone close to my heart. So, am I bias? Hell yes. There, I admit it. It's official. Take a picture, make a stamp. Now, the owner (Dizzy) is learning to mesh! I, for one, am super excited about it because...I've seen such amazing things from her already and when the possibilities are limitless, I think we're going to be blown away. The first all original DRBC mesh release is out and though it is small, it is precious! All my witchy friends will agree that it is another gem that belongs on you at all times. It is customized for Slink, but as you can see, I am wearing it on Maitreya hands and it was a quick and easy adjustment. It also has a HUD so you can play with color options. Just a heads up, this ring will remain on me, you'll remember, 'ah yeah, that's why Gia wears that ring all the time..'!
My cuuuuute shoes are by none other than FK Designs who has actually dropped a few new releases! I am just forever trying to catch up with these people lol. But make sure you head over to the FK Designs official Facebook Page to keep updated on all the thangs! The clown shoes are a new FK release you will want too!
I found this gem of a sim on Explore Second Life. A lot of bloggers have been there, especially on this train track so...don't be surprised if you see a lot of us here lol. It's an all around gorgeous sim. Tons of little corners, cozy ones, to take pics in, hang out or snuggle, or hang out and snuggle!

Let me tell you something about love...it's a real bitch! Of the many topics I am impassioned with, love and relationships is one of them. My family, friends, acquaintances, etc. come to me on this topic because I've unfortunately had to deal with a lot of bullshit in my short life already. I'm going to be pretty blunt with you all in this blog post so, there you go, & here we go!
Let's start with Second Life since we're all here enjoying this other worldly experience. When I started SL....I had no intentions of EVER getting involved here. I was involved in my RL anyway (albeit with an asshole, but hey, more life experience and knowledge on this topic!). There are SO many people in this Second Life though, you never know who you will run into. So unless you come into this place ballsy enough to displace your heart, or with enough knowledge to do just that, then...never say never is all I have to say.
I did end up falling for someone in SL and I was burned pretty bad in a online tumultuous relationship that lasted nearly 4 years. SL time that is what...50 years?! Hah. What I learned in the end is that, long distance relationships take a lot of hard work, patience, TRUST. Regular relationships do too but this even more so. Second Life seems to add to the dramatics of it all (duh factor) but people always there to be the devil on your shoulder, even the angel on your shoulder is sometimes a devil in disguise. This experience was so bad for me that I ended up dropping that avatar entirely. I don't keep that avatar a secret, her name was Gia too lol. I just didn't like all the attachment that was on her. It's hard to explain. Kind of like baggage that was attached. The memories wouldn't leave. No matter if I switched environments, friends, etc. Starting new, even though the name remained the same...seemed to be what worked for me.
I find myself in SL not seeking love, just seeking company, if that even....more so seeking the company of the next thing that needs to be in my inventory lol. I have my small circle of friends that I am very much in love with and they've changed my Second Life for me entirely. The experience this second time around has been amazing. Not without a few hiccups here and there. Turns out Second Life can sometimes be a third or fourth life...however many tries it takes to get it right! In my Second Life profile it reads, "You learn lessons here and find your purpose, just like RL." That's the truth.
Issues in Second Life to look out for? Actually...you can apply this to RL too lol. Well...firstly be weary of the married person who is seeking TEMPORARY companionship. Unless you are A-okay with that kinda thing, then have at it baby! Do your thang.
A lot of times, people forget that avatars are ran by people! There is a real life person behind the avatar with feelings, with aspirations, expectations. Nobody is to blame in this situation (usually >.>). Sometimes loneliness can drive you to places you never thought yourself capable of and if someone is there to pick up the pieces well...there you go. The problem with that is, sometimes they're only seeking someone to put a band-aid on while still being in love in real life, leaving the person in SL in the end, completely brokenhearted and usually miles/countries away with nothing they can do. That can be a bit of devastating!
Watch out for rebounders! Just out of a relationship and suddenly they're with you...that's going to be issues, believe me! On this note let me spin it a bit... It's Alright to Be Single!
I see people all the time, especially on this holiday talking about single life this and that. Stop it. Enjoy your life. I know at times you're like, 'Well I want a snuggle buddy too!". Well the damn time will come, you will have your moment. For now, quit it. Quit looking for it. Quit waiting for it. The love that falls into your life unexpectedly is the one you will keep longer.
Don't make this holiday only about a significant other either when the real loves of your life are your family.
More Second Life/Online issues..."We were just role playing." No hunny, no. I am in a relationship right now, 7 years strong actually. How did we get there? Roleplay! Lol. We played vampires that eventually got into a relationship and though I told myself we were 'just role playing', I ended up talking to him way more. Trusting him with problems I was having, etc. Although there are people that can keep it professional, I won't exclude the professional ones. I thought I was that good too lol. Sometimes we slip up, what can I say? Mind you, I had only been role playing for like a year when I met him. So yes, there are people that can be strictly in character BUT....if you see your man/woman online with a person they are 'just role playing' with for long amounts of time...check it!
Of course the obvious one is to watch out for stalkers. Although, this is kinda tricky. I have a bit of experience with this but still...there is the occasional one that can surprise. I don't really know what hints I can give you about this. They come off pretty obvious usually. Getting a bit too close, getting a bit too personal a bit too soon. I've known the stalker that would wait around for me even if I was offline. Ones that would send me things and not allow me to return it. Ones that threatened even. That can be scary. Hell, occasionally...one of those assholes still pops in a dream or two because I don't trust his ass to this very day. Like I said, avatars are ran by real life people with real life expectations...be it good or bad. So do be careful on what you share and who you share it with! I know another blogger shared a stalker-ish story not too long ago. It does happen folks. Your shit is not Fort Knox.
There are a plethora of 'obvious' things to be aware of but we'd be here for days! Age! Immaturity (although I've seen that straight last through an adult who is 40+ lol).
Using common sense is key, and yes I know...sometimes common sense is not so common, unfortunately, especially when love can be blinding.
Love in the 21st Century is an entity all in itself. One that is still an enigma. What is it? (Que 'What is Love' song here. Random song quotes, Dizzy gets me with this!) It's always been an enigma, but as our world changes...so do the many approaches to love and how to survive it. Social networking has taken it to different levels. People broadcasting amazing and loving relationships when the truth is...they're sugar coating shit and calling it candy. Let's say they're not...lets say it's all true...then you've hurt another couple because that couple or a person in that relationship is comparing their relationship to yours. Why aren't we that happy? Why doesn't he/she do that for me? And it goes on and on.
This is a new world we live in. When push comes to shove, this is where I think...maybe the walls they tell us to drop aren't so bad. Maybe keeping a few of those walls up for the sake of survival is what we really need to do.
Ah the things that inspire me in Second Life. This little chained heart is a special from Remarkable Oblivion out for Valentines Day. Not sure how long it will be there but it's at the main store. I was not only inspired by the heart but also by a song. One that will be inspiring a few more of my blog pics here in the future so I hope you won't mind seeing my fembot a few more times! I love her so!

Tick-tock, Tick-tock! I know! I heard the sound of the clock, the tapping of the nails, the tapping of the feet, the knocks at the door, the messages...but I am here my luvs! And yes I did in fact miss you! I missed my blog, I missed my inspiration! It has been such a hellish couple of months for me. I am trying my best to keep in touch and to hop back on this horse. It's hard to find inspiration though when your world is dimmed. I know some of you know exactly where I am coming from. The holidays are out the window now though so I've been able to get back to a more steady routine of being online and seeing all the awesomeness.
I couldn't help myself with the new Remarkable Oblivion at Epiphany! Wow what an event! Admittedly, gachas piss me off! I'm sorry, I can't word that any differently lol. I am sitting there pumping you full of my money, treat me to dinner or something damn it! Haha. I was able to snag some goodies though with not that much effort! Luck on my side? Maybeh! ALSO, and maybe I'm the only one here who was too excited and didn't read or something but I didn't know that most of the designers there placed their exclusives in their own shops so you don't have to go back over and over again to spend your points. Quick run down in case you haven't checked it out. The event is all about gachas. Once you've bought all the things, rezzed them out, you get a quick pop-up asking you if you want to keep your item or not (careful there!). If you choose not to keep it, you get a point. Rares give you more points. There are items available at this event that you can ONLY get with those extra points. I chose the Remarkable Oblivion Tea Party Table. Here is a nifty lil list of all the creators who have their exclusives out at their shops!
I'm also repping for Glam Affair in this one. One of the only skin places that can make me take off my mesh head and appreciate my system head haha. Gorgeous skin at Kustom 9!

The thing about watching is...it's naughty, you're not supposed to do it...and so it's a turn on (to some!). What you might not know is that the person you're watching, might actually like it. So who is the real perv? Haha. I mean, so long as you don't include murder....
I think one of the first movies that exposed me to 'Voyeurism' was the movie 'Psycho'. I was too young at the time to know it was even called that. This amazingness by DRD will remind you of just that. The other movie that exposed me to it was 'Sliver'....anybody watched that one? One of the Baldwins and Sharon Stone...pretty steamy stuff and so much voyeurism! TAG Gacha is up and at em' this round! Such a great one! I hope you've all took some time out to enjoy it, and I mean that...honestly it takes some time haha. But I don't mind hopping around to all the stores for some shopping fun. It's always great to see what they will come up with.

Hey loves! Hope you're enjoying this awesome Autumn weather, I know I have. I was just out the other day enjoying the leaves and taking pictures. My blog posts might be far and few in between but that is the reason why. Come this time of the year I get super antsy and just want to be outside all the time! I can't get enough of the atmosphere.
Glam Affair's release at Fameshed are these adorbs roses. Many different color options to choose from. Such an awesome accessory to any outfit and so many different ways to use them so go play grabby hands and have a blast!

I don't do 'cutesy' often. In fact, when I do 'cutesy', I question myself and how well I did it. In this case, I was so in love with this little look. I was so in love with the outfit and the shoes and it all seemed to just fall in place.
I have to admit that I was also listening to Kyary lots and so she was a lot of my inspiration! She is so darn adorbs. Her style in general is. THIS style is!

In all honesty, I've been working on this picture for a couple days though. The idea for it came to me as soon as I listened to a song by Fear Factory. As I said before, music inspires a lot of my posts. It was even more special though because it symbolizes a lot of my personal feelings right now. Don't worry, I'm not going to go in depth about my innermost feels lol but...I suppose it's about complete destruction and an attempt to put oneself back together again, if that is even possible. Trying to understand this machine we use daily, and reprogram it. It's a struggle, and one I am dealing with so much right now.
So I compiled a few of my (cyber-tastic)favorites in this post, I think the only one I am missing in Mystic Canvass! Everyone join in chant with me and beg her to come back to SL and make me all the pretty cyber girl skins! I anxiously await her return <3
But in the mean time... Death Row Designs released this awesome little set for Erotigacha, seriously it's a blogger dream come true. No place to blog? Whip it out babeh! It has several backdrops you have a chance at winning in this gacha and each are pretty awesome! The one I am standing in above is the Sci-Fi set and comes with poses and special effects! The lightning is all part of the sets special effects, not photoshop. Have a look at the others.

So I had a chance to get my hands on something I don't usually do, or haven't done in a long while I should say! Way back in my first SL days, I loved wearing the Gothy Lolita look and then I became selfish with allll the looks! So I had a blast with this outfit.
Although this isn't a style for everyone, it's a style I find to be super cute! There are so many ways to enjoy it too. With just a switch up of hair colors and lip gloss, I made it all cutesy but it wouldn't have been hard at all to spin this into a Goth Lolita look instead of Sweet Lolita.
The newly released dresses by DRBC made it quite easy for me! With so many options, I was so undecided on which to play with first! It ranges from Sweet to Goth with an option to even go Classic Lolita so play with allll of them. For my fellow lovers of this fashion, you will want these in ever print, yes they ARE that much fun!
My incredibly gorgeous shoes are by the awesome FK Designs. These are also available in a plethora of prints for you to mix and match to your lil hearts content. These are for Slink High feet and also come with a Belleza high feet pair too. My dear Belleza, which I am finding myself wearing more and more!

Ever since I first logged into Second Life and learned about shopping and how much you could customize your look in this world, I was hooked! It is one of my absolute favorite things to do.
Fashion in my real life doesn't get as much attention as my full time job and family takes up a lot of my time so, I take out all my fashion frustrations in Second Life lol.
Finding 'That Perfect Look' is sometimes a battle for me. I can imagine something in my head but my inventory is pretty loaded. Even though I am anal with how I separate my things, it's still a lot to go through mentally. Occasionally though, I will luck out.
Tapping into the whole 'Nu Goth' fashion once again, since it is my current obsession in SL and RL! When I see things in Sl that I can use to add to my collection for this style, I will snag it in a heartbeat!
I loved these little tops by Dappa! Simple little crop tops with a dash of witchery and spice, I was okay with that! I ran into these awesome jeans at The Mens Dept. and I havent taken them off for awhile lol. This whole outfit in fact has been on me for a few days though I rotated through my Dappa tops. The pants have a leg insert so...you alpha out your mesh body legs (these Jeans are rigged for TMP, Maitreya, and Slink) and this knee cap, as seen in the pic, is still there. The jeans include a skin hud for you to adjust to your skin color. It eliminates the issues we've had with mesh jeans that have holes in them for your legs to show through and things are poking out all over the place. The shoes I paired up with it pretty much sealed the deal. FK Designs never fails in providing some of the best textures in SL. I love the quality of these shoes and they're available in many prints!
I was also one of the lucky ones to be allowed early access to the Hair Fair this year. *cheers!* I'm always so thankful for those opportunities. Fighting the masses to get in there and shop all the things and get back to our platforms and then blog it all to share with everyone can be a pain in the mesh ass!
For those of you that don't know, or don't remember...this is another great reason to shop in SL as all items sold at Hair Fair donate a portion of their sales to Wigs for Kids!
This hair-do, along with several others, stood out. I found it unique in style. I loved the quality and I loved the bangs! So although I originally took the pic for this outfit wearing another hair-do, I changed it up last night and loved it this way even more.

The Arcade is open and I am sure it is no easier to get in now than it was the first moment it opened. It is usually like this for several days (weeks maybe!), but I hope a few of you have had a chance to get in and snag some of the goodies! I've had a few friends that scored some awesomeness at round one so I am itching to get in there myself!
Death Row Designs is there and of course is as badass as ever. I don't know how so much awesomeness is crammed into one little machine but yeah, it's there. There's so many outfits and so many pieces that you will want so definitely make use of gacha yard sales and trades and stuff! That's the way to go I tell ya! And once again I will say that we are truly spoiled because back in the day, you couldn't get quality items like this for these prices!
So I plan to do a series with the DRD stuff, this was just one of my favs and the residents of Gia's World aren't surprised that it is OF COURSE a post apocalyptic outfit! Next post of the series is a surprise so, keep your eyes, right here!

I am sure you have all heard me many times go on my lil rants about how Goth in SL needs to 'evolve'...by saying that, I am usually talking about the flexi that has stayed in a lot of the clothes, system clothes (although when done right with appliers can be great!).
Also thinking outside of the box. In EVERY genre, not only Goth...the best thing we can do is put things together because WE like it. Because it feels and looks great to YOU. Regardless if some asshole is sitting there telling you how crappy it looks, how they don't like it, how they would never wear it, how it looks ridiculous, etc etc. That is THEIR point of view and not yours. You will find that they often wear things that you just shake your head at and wonder what the hell they were thinking when they put that together. It's all about perspective and everyone has a different one. What I wish is that more people were aware at just how rude they are when voicing theirs. Not everyone has to agree with your perspective, and you cannot force them to. What you will end up doing, if that person is like me, is pushing them away. So...careful of your words. Honest opinions are always a good things but never force your personal style/views etc. on anyone.
One of my recent obsessions has been a newer blogger named Judas. Of course he's sexy, Do I have to point that out? That's obvious but far beyond that is his sense of style. Quite honestly, it's like one I have not seen before. It's edgy, it's goth and sometimes not, it's Androgynous and sometimes not, it's unique, it's incredibly sexy....quite simply put, I can't think of a better person who's claws I'd rather have on my bewbage than his! He's not afraid to wear guyliner, nail polish and heels...I just adore it! So, love all over his blog, as it is male AND female friendly! <3 your Judas! You can put your claws on me any day! Did everyone already hit up Collabor88? Yas?! I was glad to see that it was 'Punk' themed and at the same time sad because as a good friend of mine said, "Punk is a way of life, not a style". I was also sad to see the LACK of Joan Jett! UGH Here, fail cards for everyone that missed it but yay for Nylon for including my woman!!
In any case though, regardless of the theme, there is always something I will want at Collabor88. I loved the Tableau hair, even though I hate the band it was named after haha.
Of course Remarkable Oblivion is there with some absolutely gorgeous shoesies also a collar and earring set and once again I will say that the texture work for RO is just hands down some of the best damn work you will see on the grid!
I paired it all up with one of my sponsors who is also one of the only REAL 'punks' I know in SL and I so wish he could have been a part of that event. With some more amazing texturing and uniqueness, FK Designs is definitely a shop you will want to hit up.

I had to show you how I Psychobilly! Although this genre has long since been one I loved, it has really been hitting me right in the feel goooooods! It has taken over my ipod and I'm suddenly wanting to paint guys in skeleton make-up and toss a big bass at them and tell em' to get to it!! I really have my Dizzy (owner and HBIC at DRBC) to thank for it. The DRBC fashion line is inspiring in itself. It has even inspired my real life. I find myself trying my best to find things similar to it and sigh because Dizzy can't come and texture my real life clothes too (damnable) lol. My fav purse I tote around in my RL has DRBC's signature Creature Feature print on it and I love it so!
Dizzy also spins out some amazing Psychobilly tunage every other Friday at Retroville!
Believe me, for my Psychobilly readers...have your butts there! You won't want to miss it! Great place to hang out too and oh yeah, I'm usually there with pen and paper in hand. Why pen and paper you ask? I always take notes on the playlist because it is always a kickass learning experience! She will school you haha nobody does psychobilly like she does! It was all made perfect with DRD's Mad Lab. This was at Erotigacha in Retroville but is now at the DRD mainstore in the Furniture section as a Gacha, for 50L per pull and everything being ahmayzin, it's shocking!
