Hey luvs! I hope I am finding you all in great spirits <3 

When it comes to 'Goth' fashion...it is very much up in the air. People will argue it forever I think and ultimately, it doesn't matter. What matters in the end is if YOU like it. 

What most of us can agree on is that black is the primary color. We can work with purples and red, blues and greens but pretty much always black. 

There is a model on Facebook who I absolutely adore. People have referred to her as a 'Goth' model, I don't know if you will agree, in any case though, she is just gorgeous! I find her to be breathtakingly stunning and just gawk at her pictures all creeper like lol. She managed to take a very 'gothy' picture without black in it and I simply had to bring it to Second Life!

Look up "Threnody" on Facebook and you will see exactly what I am talking about! You will also see how much she was my RL to SL inspiration. Mind you, nobody can do it as sexy as she does but I damn well tried!

It also gave an opportunity to show off the gorgeous bed set by Death Row Designs at The Secret Affair. It comes with tons of poses, single and adult. (The curtain in the front is not included). Just another gorgeous piece of DRD furniture. The Secret Affair ends on the 31st so only a few days to check it out and grab this bed while you're there!

I just got my PC all upgraded though and it seems to be loving on SL so hopefully I can get going with more projects soon!

Hey luvs!
I'm back-ish. I include the 'ish' because, as I posted on the official "Gia's World" Facebook page, my computer has not been playing nice with me when it comes to taking pics in SL. I really had to mess with my settings to take these pics. They're a lot smaller than usual but I had to make adjustments in order to do what I have to do. Otherwise, I was dealing with a very crash happy computer and in the blogger world, that is a serious pain in the ass! Okay so imagine it. I have the outfit on, I finally found the pose, I finally found a location that matched what I had in mind, I made any adjustments to the pose, I finally found a windlight, I prepare to shoot the pic, posed-angled-snap! CRASH. Rinse, wash, and repeat. It was just continuous and driving me up the darn wall. So I made the adjustments which should keep me happy and functioning for now until I get my new computer parts in. I am excited for them.
I had to do a quickie to show off the new Glam Affair skin at Skin Fair, which I know darn well by now, the lot of you have bum rushed it and snagged all the things!
I was feeling very 'Mia Wallace' in this outfit so I really let her free spirit inspire me.
If I haven't declared it before, let me just say it now, I LOVE LOVE me some Quentin! I think he's a genius on film. I loved his movies since before I actually knew they were Quentin movies. Pulp Fiction of course, is one of my all time favs. Also Deathproof, Dusk Til' Dawn, Four Rooms, we'll be here forever...just all of his stuff!
I wont keep you for long today. I have a ton to catch up on and still not too certain about this PC but I am being impatient.

Vikings on  the History channel has started up again! I am such a fan! A friend introduced me to it last year and I plowed through the first few seasons I missed then was able to watch along with everyone else and...now it's back and I am so excited! They haven't failed me yet in acting, story line, eye candy lol. My favorite character is still Lagertha (when they pronounce her name, the R is pretty much silent). I love that she is not made to be the typical female running behind a man, waiting on a man, etc etc. I love that she reigns, I love that she is ruthless, I love that she looks so beautiful and sweet but if you know her, you know how deadly she can be when it comes to protecting her family, herself and her people. 

So when I thought of which direction I wanted to go with this picture, I thought of Lagertha and her brutal beauty. 

The picture was brutal on me too! I don't know why I never thought to take a picture vertically. This is what...my third year of blogging, (close to it anyway lol) and I never flipped my pictures?! This whole time?! Thankfully I have a wonderful friend who sent me in the right direction to accomplish that and a boyfriend who helped me nail it! 

My gorgeous Death Row Designs helmet needed to be featured in its entirety. Every way I was trying to take the picture, it seemed to chop part of it off....and I just couldn't have that! So...I don't know, what do you all do to get the pictures you want? Especially when it comes to this flipping the picture shenanigans! If there is easier tips or tricks, y'all better share! lol

Also, I am so thankful that Azuchi Designs followed me on Flickr when they did because I was just about to go on this total bitch fit about there being a lack of proper armor in Second Life lol. This armor is insanely gorgeous! It actually covers the bewbs! Shocking right?! Why is all female armor made to look so revealing? Some of us would like to imagine that our chest would actually be protected in battle you know!

Won't keep you forever. Arcade is right around the corner, we're about to get real busy and real broke haha. I'm so ready, teleport ready, full alpha ready!

I absolutely love love love our many different cultures! Ever since I was a child, I remember being absolutely infatuated with learning about other cultures, their styles, history...everything, yes I was and am that selfish still. 

Japanese culture is just another one I adore, particularly the Geisha. I won't go into pretending to know every single thing about them, well...they're supposed to be a mystery...right? 

I do know we've warped them into something sexual when they first represented beauty and art. 

Although my Geisha is portrayed as a more sexual type, (hey I couldn't help it, I loved this Kimono and it was an off the shoulder only kinda thing lol) I don't want to misinterpret what they really are and should stand for. 

During my role play years, I even role played a Geisha...an artsy one. It was a great time too. I took my time studying them for awhile so that I could play my role correctly and actually gained a nice following.

Any time that I can, I try to take on a style I don't get to show off that often in my blog. This is just another style that I love so much and added my little touches to it! I won't keep you all too long this time since my last blog must've kept you all busy for awhile! Lol.

YaaaaaaY It's the weekend my luvs! We can celebrate. For a minute anyway!

Sometimes in Second Life, I fan girl. I feel silly about it at times but it doesn't matter that this is a virtual world, talent is talent no matter where, when, how. I fan girl over styles, bloggers, SL Flickr Artists, SL Creators, SL Designers....I can't be the only one. I see others complain about it sometimes and even I, oddly enough, have been fangirled/fanboi'd before! Where they will come up to me at event or whatever and tell me they love my blog or Flickr pics and I will admit, it feels pretty awesome just to get a small pat on the back, a lil bit of acknowledgment when I am out and about. 

So, never be surprised if I run up to you and say hi. I am a blogger who still faithfully follows lots of blogs, I applaud and support them. I love running into SL designers and saying hi too and letting them know how much I love their creations. Sometimes they're cordial, sometimes they're not lol. If the latter occurs, I pretend it didn't and move on and remember not to talk to them again. Maybe they're a private person, maybe they had a bad day, maybe they were busy but in any case...I did my part.

So one of the SL designers I love to fan girl over, and WAS cordial with me when I ran into her at Shiny Shabby once, is Valentina. When I run into her creations in SL, it's pretty much guaranteed I am going to buy it lol. I can't help myself. I don't think there is no one general style to her and I kinda love that. I have mixed her outfits/dresses/etc. with many different things in many different styles of clothing. It's unique, it's detailed, it fits wonderfully, comes in many different colors, what else can you ask for? The outfit I am wearing here is just another one I marked down as one of my favorites and received so many compliments for! So I hope you'll all introduce yourselves to that shop, if by freak chance you haven't already.

Hey guys and dolls! 

I hope I am finding you all in good spirits. The weekend approaches soon. I should be happy about it but I can't be lol. I've had the week off, (not by choice!) and will be returning to work Monday. The days off have been nice though and much needed in so many ways. I've been sick and simply needed the rest so I am thankful to have had these few days to spend at home. It also gave me a few more chances to pop in SL and enjoy all the shopping, events, and visits with the people I adore. 

Speaking of people I adore, DRBC recently released this adorbs dress that I knew a lot of my readers would just fall in love with! This is one of my favorite prints but she made a plethora of them, so you have a ton of options, polka dots galore and a Hello Sailor! one that is to die for! Make sure you follow DRBC (as linked above) on Facebook for updates on recent releases.

I couldn't help but take advantage of someones ride parked outside of the new Hard Alley Club! That's right, Hard Alleys Retroville has moved sims! So make sure to pop over and visit. The club is active with some pretty awesome DJ's! The music ranges from punk to rock to...just everything! The company is great and  oh yeah....I hang out there so that's a bonus right?! Come over and get down with us sometime!

Tick-tock, Tick-tock! I know! I heard the sound of the clock, the tapping of the nails, the tapping of the feet, the knocks at the door, the messages...but I am here my luvs! And yes I did in fact miss you! I missed my blog, I missed my inspiration! It has been such a hellish couple of months for me. I am trying my best to keep in touch and to hop back on this horse. It's hard to find inspiration though when your world is dimmed. I know some of you know exactly where I am coming from. The holidays are out the window now though so I've been able to get back to a more steady routine of being online and seeing all the awesomeness.

I couldn't help myself with the new Remarkable Oblivion at Epiphany! Wow what an event! Admittedly, gachas piss me off! I'm sorry, I can't word that any differently lol. I am sitting there pumping you full of my money, treat me to dinner or something damn it! Haha. I was able to snag some goodies though with not that much effort! Luck on my side? Maybeh! ALSO, and maybe I'm the only one here who was too excited and didn't read or something but I didn't know that most of the designers there placed their exclusives in their own shops so you don't have to go back over and over again to spend your points. Quick run down in case you haven't checked it out. The event is all about gachas. Once you've bought all the things, rezzed them out, you get a quick pop-up asking you if you want to keep your item or not (careful there!). If you choose not to keep it, you get a point. Rares give you more points. There are items available at this event that you can ONLY get with those extra points. I chose the Remarkable Oblivion Tea Party Table. Here is a nifty lil list of all the creators who have their exclusives out at their shops!

I'm also repping for Glam Affair in this one. One of the only skin places that can make me take off my mesh head and appreciate my system head haha. Gorgeous skin at Kustom 9!

A Fantasy Frozen In Time

My goodness! Darn that Gia for taking her sweet ass time to get back to SL! ;) My apologies for the absence luvs. October, November, December are busy for me, like so many other people. But even beyond that, our family was just tossed around in a series of unfortunate events and with the sadness, my inspiration was at a stand still. I know so many of us have had to deal with it, so I know you'll be understanding with me. I am not going to go into too many personal issues, they're a bummer, believe me. But I do want to say something. 

We always hear the 'Tomorrow is never promised' saying but seriously, I mean it....please remember it. You can see someone one day and they are gone forever the next. So love people in your life every day as if you'll never see them again. Don't ever be afraid to be that passionate. You have to be. With so much hatred in this world, be the rebel and love! Life is so precious. I have to remind myself of it all the time.
This is also a time for depression to just sky rocket. Why? Maybe it's that we're so broke. Memories attached to this time of year. Remembering loved ones that aren't here to celebrate with us anymore. It's all of the above for me. It's fucking rough. There's simply no other way to put it. I guess the important thing is to try. Small victories are great. You put pants on today? Go you! You rock!
I am coming around though and have a ton of things to catch up on with a few, oh you know, several thousand ideas on the side! I've been watching and reading and listening to a lot of interesting things that are helping to spark up ideas so, it should be fun!

My other half in SL, my bestfriend Dizzy sent me an amazing gift a couple weeks ago, the LOGO Mesh head! I am so in love with it. It's really gorgeous with it's supple lips and rounded features, emotions HUD and all that other good stuff. All that and then Glam Affair makes appliers for it! I hope you've all have a chance to give them a try, the Glam Affair applier is beautiful!
The Polar Glam Affair skin tone is probably one of my favorites. It's pale...need I say more? Haha. Not just pale, it's just got an all around soft paleness to it. I fantasy-themed pic came to mind and paired with Vibe Poses, I had a blast <3

"She's A Myth That I Have to Believe In.."

Places in Second Life have slowly started to become covered in all the fluffy white stuff...yes, I do mean snow. Right now, I appreciate it. I am from the northern part of the U.S. so I grew up around many feet of snow during the winter. Winter just isn't winter unless you have to navigate icy roads and can sit in the back yard building igloos. Well, we tried anyway. We never actually could get to the ceiling part of it, we'd just get some pretty high walls going before my siblings wanted to start an all out snowball war and then...the walls were no more. 

The sim owners in Second Life have such talent though. I don't know how they manage to pull an entire place together. The smallest details are always what get me. Ironwood Hills has been a favorite of mine, several of my blog pictures are linked back to it. Creepy and gorgeous with one of the best graveyards in Second Life. Make sure to pay it a visit.

Remarkable Oblivion has given us some more wings to play with. So many of us are still in the RO wings that were released awhile ago. Just like those, these are also gorgeous! With a darker vibe though, at least that's how I saw it. These are available at We <3 Roleplay, be sure not to miss them!

November Harvest

I so hate saying good-bye to October...but I know all good things must come to an end. And just to be a sarcastic ass, I always make sure to share the countdown till next Halloween, there's always a person out there that'll get butt hurt about it!
Even though we say goodbye to October, November and December still warm the heart...maybe not in the same way but that's just a cluster of months I am learning to really love. I know some of us get really down around December. It's a stressful time of year! The one thing I can do is make sure to not focus on me. Mind you, I am not saying that will be the solution to YOUR problems, I am simply saying that is how I am wired and how I work around the 'C' word blues *CoughCHRISTMASCough*. For example, I focus on how excited the kids in my life are about the holidays. They seem to share their excitement with me, if only for a moment.

This time of the year is always an amazing time to bring around those warm colors, knit sweaters and all the cozy things! I am looking forward to a lot of the events coming up because I know they will deliver just this!

Speaking of the 'warm colors, soft undertones, etc etc...I simply adore Glam Affair! It seriously doesn't matter if I am wearing a mesh head or my normal head, Glam Affair just makes all the adorbs happen. So I couldn't help but put together a picture that would not only highlight the skin but show how much it inspires me and reminds me of the beauty in this Autumn Harvest.

Halloween Is Everyday - Gia's World LoTD

I am seriously amazed at how fast time goes by. I swear I just posted the other day. This is what happens in the life of a very busy woman! So many pictures floating around in my head, ideas, outfits...and sometimes I feel like I actually did blog it when in fact, nope...it was only a thought. 

Halloween in just a few days and in the spirit of it all, I have been enjoying a podcast. I am new to the podcast world and maybe I shouldn't have crossed over because I am hooked! So a friend suggested I listen to Darkness Radio, have any of you listened in? It's paranormal talk radio. I simply cannot get enough of it. There is nothing I love more than some spooky with a side serving of goofy! I've already caught up with them since their September podcasts haha. They need to get to work. I work full time, that means they have to entertain me for 8 hours! 

So yeah, besides scary movies and stuff, I've been enjoying my spookiness via podcast too. 

I have a LoTD kinda post going on today. I thought it was pretty appropriate attire for us 'gothy' or 'nu goth' lovers during this time of year. It is still a lil warm (depending where you live!) but can get nice and breezy, maybe a bit too breezy so you'll want a sweater nearby.

Hello my lovelies! It's the weekend! Let us rejoice! The long work weeks make the weekend that much sweeter. 

So Halloween is officially 8 days away! I swear this month just flies by so fast! If there's ever a time when I can relate just a lil to being bipolar, it's during October. You get that high in the beginning of the month. All the sweet smells of Autumn that start in September are only intensified and it is so intoxicating! As the end of the month comes (so damn quickly!) the high just drops and it is upsetting. We need a pause button in life. Someone get on that!  

In other news though!

There's a little event going on in Second Life called 'The Truth About Bats & Avies' brought to you by SL Goth. Several designers from SL have gathered together in an effort to bring awareness of the rapid decline in the bat population, white nose syndrome, and other things threatening their existence. Proceeds from the event will benefit Bat World Sanctuary which is the only accredited bat sanctuary in the world. How I admire that there are people like that in this world. If only I were a rich woman. I bought things from this event with a smile because it's for a great cause and because there's so much awesomeness there. Other designers include: Spellbound, Sn@tch, The Little Bat, Livid, and More! Make sure to check it out!

I couldn't think of a better brand to be there to support the bats than DRBC. In case you haven't had a chance to get up close and personal (woohoo!) with Ms. Dizzy, owner of DRBC, she is an absolute lover of bats! And I don't mean using them as a cute lil print on clothing (although she does that so well too!) I mean she just simply thinks they're adorbs! So it is no surprise to me to see DRBC there with a gorgeous batty dress! The dress is called 'Vampira' and it so reminded me of Vampira. 

The quest to look like Vampira in SL I thought would be a simple one but it wasn't. Just so you know SL hair creators...there is no Vampira hair in SL! We (I had Dizzy helping me look for hair lol) scoured SL for hair similar to Vampira's. My requirements were the center part and the hairline and if possible, I wanted the vintage curls at the bottom. Nothing was found. Not.Ever! Spellbound had the closest thing that I wanted. The hairline was there because you're originally supposed to wear barrettes with it. The bottom of my hair is edited in the top pic to curl under. Originally, it hangs a bit straighter. 

Dark Passions Koffin Nails is also participating in the event with some adorbs batty nail appliers for Slink, Maitreya and Belleza. I even included a closie for them, I loved them that much <3

Voyeurism...They Like To Watch

The thing about watching is...it's naughty, you're not supposed to do it...and so it's a turn on (to some!). What you might not know is that the person you're watching, might actually like it. So who is the real perv? Haha. I mean, so long as you don't include murder....
I think one of the first movies that exposed me to 'Voyeurism' was the movie 'Psycho'. I was too young at the time to know it was even called that. This amazingness by DRD will remind you of just that. The other movie that exposed me to it was 'Sliver'....anybody watched that one? One of the Baldwins and Sharon Stone...pretty steamy stuff and so much voyeurism!
TAG Gacha is up and at em' this round! Such a great one! I hope you've all took some time out to enjoy it, and I mean that...honestly it takes some time haha. But I don't mind hopping around to all the stores for some shopping fun. It's always great to see what they will come up with.

Los Muertos

Hey guys and dolls! SO much to catch up on but hey it's the weekend!

If you're a long time resident of Gia's World then you know that Dia De Los Muertos is a celebration that I've loved since I was just a lil girl. It's a part of my heritage, a part of my family. Not just sugar skulls and marigolds but something with so much meaning behind it! Although, I cannot ever get enough of my sugar skulls and fluffy flowers. I love that so many people fell in love with it too, people of all cultures. It's a time to look back on memories with our loved ones that have passed on. Remember their life and the things they loved and celebrate with them for a day (in my case, 3 days). The sweet smells, photographs, personal items, etc. bring our loved ones right to the present and make you feel as if they are there with you....maybe they are! Maybe you don't understand this part at all, maybe you just love the sugar skulls, in any case...it's a gorgeous holiday and one we love to dress up for!

Glam Affair has an awesome release for the new round of Collabor88. These lovely appliers for Lelutka Mesh Head stole my heart! There's several different styles but this was one of my favs. Here are the others!

I was so happy that when I hopped over to Livid, I walked right into this whole setup. It made taking the picture all that more easy. If you're looking for any Dia De Los Muertos decor, that's the place you want to head over to!
