When it comes to 'Goth' fashion...it is very much up in the air. People will argue it forever I think and ultimately, it doesn't matter. What matters in the end is if YOU like it. 

What most of us can agree on is that black is the primary color. We can work with purples and red, blues and greens but pretty much always black. 

There is a model on Facebook who I absolutely adore. People have referred to her as a 'Goth' model, I don't know if you will agree, in any case though, she is just gorgeous! I find her to be breathtakingly stunning and just gawk at her pictures all creeper like lol. She managed to take a very 'gothy' picture without black in it and I simply had to bring it to Second Life!

Look up "Threnody" on Facebook and you will see exactly what I am talking about! You will also see how much she was my RL to SL inspiration. Mind you, nobody can do it as sexy as she does but I damn well tried!

It also gave an opportunity to show off the gorgeous bed set by Death Row Designs at The Secret Affair. It comes with tons of poses, single and adult. (The curtain in the front is not included). Just another gorgeous piece of DRD furniture. The Secret Affair ends on the 31st so only a few days to check it out and grab this bed while you're there!

I just got my PC all upgraded though and it seems to be loving on SL so hopefully I can get going with more projects soon!

Places in Second Life have slowly started to become covered in all the fluffy white stuff...yes, I do mean snow. Right now, I appreciate it. I am from the northern part of the U.S. so I grew up around many feet of snow during the winter. Winter just isn't winter unless you have to navigate icy roads and can sit in the back yard building igloos. Well, we tried anyway. We never actually could get to the ceiling part of it, we'd just get some pretty high walls going before my siblings wanted to start an all out snowball war and then...the walls were no more. 

The sim owners in Second Life have such talent though. I don't know how they manage to pull an entire place together. The smallest details are always what get me. Ironwood Hills has been a favorite of mine, several of my blog pictures are linked back to it. Creepy and gorgeous with one of the best graveyards in Second Life. Make sure to pay it a visit.

Remarkable Oblivion has given us some more wings to play with. So many of us are still in the RO wings that were released awhile ago. Just like those, these are also gorgeous! With a darker vibe though, at least that's how I saw it. These are available at We <3 Roleplay, be sure not to miss them!

"Evil Queens Are the Princesses That Were Never Saved..."

When I was a young girl, I remember questioning things in stories that would make my teachers smile and give me funny looks, in a good way. One of the things I wondered about was why the evil Queen in the story was evil. I would ask and sometimes they would give me a half-assed explanation but most of the time they would simply say she wasn't the focus of the story. I always wanted to know why she was the way she was, why she did the things she did.

If you're wondering, yes I did/do love Maleficent the movie and loved the Disney character. 

When I took this photo and found this pretty, dark little part of this sim...a dark Queen is what I was reminded of. But I never forget that in Gia's World, the Dark Queens have a reason for being Dark or Evil.

My lovely horns atop my head are by Remarkable Oblivion, available at The Secret Affair and of course they're stunning as usual! They're available in 2 different colors, this dark color and a 'dusk' which would essentially be the ivory tone. You'll want them both believe me! Also resizable. Yours don't have to be as big as mine...I just like mine like that :P

One of the lil quirks I have with Second Life photos, especially during these winter months is that it seems like...nobody cares that their avatar is standing out in the middle of winter...in lingerie (for example!). I personally like to layout a storyline for my photos...and I know, that's just MY personal preference and not everyone has to do that. That's just fine. But if you're standing in the snow butt ass nekkid, I would like to know why. So I sat on this photo for a minute for that exact issue. I had to ask myself if I would take a stroll if the winter chill would nip at my bare shoulders and legs...depending on the situation...yes. Have you ever been so angry that you don't feel the weather? The sting of the winter wind on your face is nothing in comparison to the feeling that is completely engulfing you. 

I loved this dress by Skindustrial Bodyworks. It is available in several colors just in time for dances, parties, gatherings, date nights around this holiday season so make sure to grab them all!

Vintage & Cool fair is one of the main SL events I have been waiting for so are you ready to take it all in? I'm only just beginning and I have so much to show!!

I love it because I get to pull out things already in the inventory and match them up with the new stuff to make one hell of a mash-up.

So the first look I decided to go with was a more rockabilly babe look, but the fair covers 'vintage' in general. From classic to rockabilly, psychobilly and I think I saw some 60's stuff as well! From hair, to skin, to shoes and clothes, accessories, you name it, it's there! Vintage inspired from the 20's to 60's era!

We're in our last days of a Clockwork Spiral and I feel like I've only given you a lil peek into what is available. I hope you've all been able to hop over and take a look around and grab a few things. 

Although DRBC's main steamcraft dress was a hit amongst the awesome releases there, another dress by DRBC is available as well and I adore it so! With it's elegant but dark style, it reminded me of a steampunk Lolita kind of look and this is what inspired my photo, along with the awesome and hidden little corner at Flagship that I've had my eye on for awhile.

I look for places like that. People in SL amaze me with their creativity and ability to take just a lil corner of the grid and make it into something adorable, eye catching, peaceful. If you know of places like this, always feel free to nudge me and send me SLurls. Besides my passion for SL Photography, I also enjoy traveling here and there and just seeing what people are doing with their world.

Boudoir owns a piece of my heart, I swear it. I don't think I have seen a creation come from that shop that I didn't absolutely fall in love with. 

Oh and by the way...did you gasp when finding I blogged this hair again?! Back to back?! Yes I did!! Is that illegal in the blogger world? I dunno but in Gia's World it's wonderful and will be done as many times as I please! :D I adore it so much and in combination with this outfit I couldn't pull them apart!

So, I am wearing yet another awesome (and wearable!) throne by Boudoir. That's right, no rezzing! I'm so amazed with the beauty of it. Everything around me is attached to it. Tree, deers, pumpkins, the hanging bird cage, mushrooms on the ground. The tree has its own pose animations too and can be adjusted with a simple click. I seriously felt so at home and relaxed and THANKFUL that I ran into a sim that was perfect for my vision in my head. This sim is gorgeous and has a few other sims linked to it with different seasons. Make sure to pay it a visit. My fellow bloggers will love it! Of course my favorite area was the pumpkin patch.

I still have a ton of things to show you so I will be on my way. Hold tight to your seats and enjoy the ride in Gia's World! Oh and...never get tired of the pumpkins. Tis the season for pumpkins and I will feature them as many times as I possibly can!

I've loved the Small Town Green sim for awhile now. There are little spots all over the place to capture a great moment in SL or just to sit and lounge in. This hidden and overgrown railroad track is one of my favorite little spots. Although it doesn't have build turned on, it's still a great place for bloggers/photographers etc who enjoy their outdoorsy pics. 

I knew -just- where I wanted to take this photo and I knew just want I wanted to pair up my featured item with! I am featuring Death Row Designs at A Secret Affair. The Secret Affair this round was amazing! My compliments to all parties involved. My lindens were flailed all over the place! If you haven't been there, make sure to pay it a visit and grab this gorgeous armor by DRD! 

As for my hair, don't you love it?! Ugh Moon! Both of the Moon hairs available at N21 are out of this Slworld Amazing! At least in my personal opinion. You will definitely want them both! I am crossing my fingers in hopes that only more curly hairs will come to our SL, preferably ones without flex! Not that I have anything against it myself, what you wear is your business. After all, this is YOUR SL and nobody can dress up your doll except you. I simply don't miss it going into my body whenever I move =)

"I Take My Time And I Always Win.." (Breaking Bad Spoiler Alert!)

Alright, alright...I know this photo probably has so many of you thrown off. Like, "Why oh why did Gia pose all purdy next to a head on a turtle?!" I have two words for you...Breaking Bad.

If you're a fan, then you know exactly why the turtle has a severed head on it (although it was a tortoise I think lol) and why it says what it does on that turtle. If you don't watch Breaking Bad then I am sorry...that you've chose to miss out on an incredibly awesome show with an amazing story line and top notch acting.

If you've just recently decided to watch it, look away! I hope I didn't spoil that lil bit of the story line for you. 

But ANYWAY! When Dead Dollz dropped this on me in a package called 'The Heisenberg Collection', I chose this dress first. All of the dresses are amazing but this one simply caught the eye (and well the name of course). You -cannot- hand Gia something with that title on the package and a dress named 'Tortuga' without seeing a bit of gore in the pic. The dress cut and style are so simple but so elegant, giving it a ton of dress up options and even making it comfortable enough for me to just kick off my heels and prance around like so. 

The awesome head on the Turtle is by 'Swagga' and is at the Level Up event this round in all its gorey glory! The theme for that event is 'Survival Horror' and I loved it! This head is animated with different pose options that will make you giggle...or vomit, either way, fun stuff!

My jewelry is by the ever amazing RealEvil Industries which seem to continuously be making things that I can put to use. This set is at the Jewelry Fair too along with their other awesome creations for that event.

It's no secret I am a Gamer. 100%. In and out of SL, in other worlds, many worlds. You will find me in Guild Wars and Guilds Wars 2, many many Steam games and games that are no longer even available. Although I started on console, my heart was won over by PC Gaming. I know the age old argument of PC gaming vs. Console...in the end, we both simply have a love for gaming and we're all simply that...GAMERS!

One of my favorite genres is of course, Zombie Apocalypse type FPS, or in gamer speak...First Person Shooters (not frames per second this time kids!). Left 4 Dead so won me over and is one of those games I just never ever get tired of playing, Left 4 Dead 2 too of course.

Since Arcade is right around the corner, LITERALLY!!! It starts tomorrow and I am super excited!! When Death Row Designs is participating, I just get overly excited and then of course, Jaimy and her sister Eowyn are on top of the Gamer genre with these awesome accessories! Must haves people, MUST HAVES! When I went to Missing Mile to take these photos, I was approached by several people on where I got stuff from and it just made me all smiley. Arcade, arcade, arcade. Get there and grab it all. 

My outfit couldn't have been completed with out a lil Sn@tch. It's been too long since Sn@tch has visited the blog. Nobody complains about getting more Sn@tch! The shirt came in so many variations. Bloody, greasy, dirty. SO many ways to rock it out and the shorts are super cute! They come with an awesome belt that fits it perfectly (not featured) and they also came in a variety of prints. The Dirty Tanks are in the riot vendor at Sn@tch so bring several friends and drop that price!!

Hello luvs! Although I usually start my blogs off with a lil rant about the badassery I am wearing or a storyline, I am going to do this one a lil different (although, look at the badassery I am wearing!). I wanted to talk about a topic that has bothered me for quite some time. I'm generally a quiet person. My circle of friends in SL is very very small. After being here for so many years, it has just been my personal learning experience to keep it that way. 

So my little rant is on blogger friendliness, mostly towards each other. When I started my little adventure into the bloggy world, I made a great friend. She warned me of jealousy, accusations, and backstabbing that happens amongst bloggers. I kind of giggled and just made a small mental note. As time passed (not too much time even) a lot of that stuff started showing. Not really towards me but I noticed others commenting rudely on photos or adding their two cents here and there on style, etc. 

I find it saddening that it's so hard to simply find people that empower you (and in RL too). Why can't we support one another and share blog posts? Be encouraged and encourage others? If someone is inspired by your style and they use it to inspire a look of their own, can you not be excited about someone finding the things you love interesting as well? And can that person take a moment to give credit where credit is due and say 'Thanks to 'so&so' for sparking my interest!'. We can do these things. 

I have been blessed to encounter a few bloggers on my journey that have proved that stereotype of mean bloggers to be very wrong. They've helped me, encouraged me, inspired me. If I am trying to find a place to shoot a picture, need an honest opinion, need landmarks, tips on editing a picture, ANYTHING!, they're polite, helpful, always. 

One of those ladies is in that top photo with me, yes she gladly went out of her way to let me suck her dry! I love my Kuppy so much and am very proud of how far she's come in her blogging. I'm inspired by her love for it all, her stylings and I adore her for being the friend she is. 

Anika, Purz,  Aarya, & Vita (luff my Vita!) are also other fellow bloggers that I simply adore for being their awesome selves and great friends. Anika is my partner in crime and preferred pain in the ass though lol. She's the one I spend most of my time with, get in trouble with and laugh with. SL wouldn't be complete without her. 

In closing, to my fellow bloggers...encourage, share, and inspire one another. No BS, no accusations, none of that is needed. What it boils down to is all of us basically doing the same thing. Take a pretty picture, share your awesome stylings and brighten someones Second Life. <3

Hello again! With A6D coming to its end, I had to get in a quickie *snickers* and hope you've all enjoyed it and had a chance to grab all (or at least a few) of the awesome things creators made for this round.

Aliza Karu has certainly made her mark in my SL. I've blogged her several times already and every time I do, I just have a blast finding another gorgeous sim and bringing her dress to life in whatever way it speaks to me. I did a mashup of another one of her dresses, well not the whole thing but the underlying mesh, the crinkley fabric over my legs is from another one of her dresses. I felt a lil bare under that gorgeously big dress. 

I'm already excited to see what A6D will do next! Hope you all remembered to hit the subscriber at the A6D sim to keep updated on the next round!

The Art of Post Mortem Photography

How weird is it in your opinion? Honestly. There is something I have always found beautifully disturbing, saddening, touching, sacred...so many things about post-mortem photography.
Very common in the 19th century, families would pose their loved ones and take a final photograph to remember them. Posing them in bed as if they were only sleeping, or posing them in chairs, relaxed.
I know...that a lot of you probably find that disturbing. I can respect your opinion. As I said above, I find it beautiful, but sad. Especially the photos of children, which were much more common. Mothers would hold them lovingly or pose them with a favorite toy.
Flowers, were a very common prop used for these photos. They would adorn the bed, outfit, surroundings with flowers. Needless to say, I saw this lovely Boudoir dress in all of its gorgeous, macabre glory and, I don't know why but, that's what it reminded me of. So beautiful and sad at the same time. Also, I've been catching up on episodes of American Horror Story: Coven, so don't be surprised if the macabre starts taking over my blog for a bit!
My gorgeous gown covered the chair but it is also a new Boudoir release. That and many others in other prints and designs. It's a reason I love the shop so much. They don't stick to making only clothes, there's enough there to absolutely lose yourself in for awhile!

Gia's gotta get cracking on several more posts so I will see you again soon but I will leave you with this lil note...There is more to be afraid of with the living than those that are dead.

Violet! You're Turning Violet, Violet! {World Goth Fair}

About that title, I just had to. The purple luff was all over the place! World Goth Fair is OPEN!! 3 Sims so get ready to do some mad shopping while enjoying the view of the awesome sims!
So last night/this morning...I spent some time watching videos on YouTube and looking up more info on the Sophie Lancaster case. I really like to know what I am doing and why. Although I have watched documentaries on her life and death several times, every time, my heart just breaks. How do we fail? How were these kids not taught right? She was only 20 years old and at this point, should be enjoying her life. How sad that it was stolen from her. She died protecting her boyfriend...they were assaulted because of the way they looked. How sad is that? Nobody comes in the same package. We're all different in size, look, likes, styles, sexual preference, etc. But it gives no one the right to to judge or demean, assault, ANYONE based on the cover of the book.
I think a lot of us have dealt with bullying. Even in our cyber lives, we're subjected to these things. It's important to know when to remove people from your life. If they have no purpose, if they cause negativity...they're wasting your personal energy and lifetime. It is important to know when you are crossing the lines. So you don't like Goth, well...I don't like country. But that's what makes us great. The world is full of so many flavors...why not appreciate our differences? Drop stereotypes....drop the hate, the judgement. Love. Love like no other and love passionately. Love life. Because tomorrow is not guaranteed for anyone.

So those are my thoughts on the topic. This is another great reason to shop in SL, supporting a great cause! From top to bottom, I am showing off some wonderful creations. Furniture, clothes, accessories alllll snag worthy! Hopefully I will bump into many of you while shopping there and at the events! It's going to be a blast babeh!

I Wish You Were Here {Fantasy Faire 2014}

Do you remember that scene from the movie 'Hook' where Peter was tossed overboard and the mermaids saved him by pressing their lips to his and blowing air in his mouth? Seriously one of my favorite parts to that movie! The mermaids were so breathtakingly beautiful with their bright colored hair, flawless figures and and gentle movements. Anybody that ever thought of the mermaid fantasy had a full on visual there.

So the Fantasy Faire is still going strong and oh if I could blog all day, I STILL wouldn't be able to show you all of the amazing creations featured there! Besides the insane amount of shopping to be had (all for a good cause mind you!)...there are tons of things to do and/or participate in! Dj's are always spinning, there's two hunts going on AND roleplay! Plus...if you are an SL photographer...you don't want to miss the beautiful builds and little corners for you to take allll your pictures.

I had a dear friend step up to play the part of 'Peter' in my little Mermaid Fantasy...and I will say it once again, I so love collabs with friends! I love blogging, it's always an adventure but when you're bringing in another person, it just adds to it all.

Would you have ever guessed that the stud muffin there is also my Kupcake?! Thankfully she made ManCake (my nickname for the male version of Cupcake) because I seem to scare the dudes off! It was great though, we'll have to make another date soon! Thank you so much for letting me play with your awesome pixels!
