Hey luvs! I've missed you, I really have. I wanted to touch base and just let you all know what was going on.
I know its been while since I've posted anything. Almost two months now! It's not like I haven't taken pictures...I have. I just got into this kind of rut (still am there btw) where I just have to find myself. Find what I want to do and how I want to move forward with Gia's World. I don't really think fashion blogging is my ultimate goal. I've never been a blogger about the sponsors or freebies.
I love clothes and all the styles in Second Life, don't get me wrong. I am sure I will always have fashion as a part of Gia's World but I think I'd like to be artsy on occasion...or more so than not, you know?
It's always taken me forever to blog and that's because I love storytelling in my pictures! I love making it look like you're peeking into someones life, even if for a moment. I don't find any sort of excitement standing in front of a wall and showing you my virtual fashion. There's a shit ton of blogs out there like that though! ...But I don't think that will be Gia's World.
So I am on this break....
I am also working on me in RL and it has been pretty awesome. I am not going to go into all the details of it but just know that it's a process and I have to do that before anything. This will allow for a much funner and healthier version of me so please, cheer me on!

The weekend has arrived! Time to celebrate with a round of shopping! That's right, Collabor88 is literally a few moments from opening and I am at the ready, finger by the teleport button as I am sure a lot of you are as well haha. What can I say? Dressing up my pixel dolly is one of my favorite things to do in SL, as you can tell per my blog. 

So I had a bit of a blast with this post coming up with a unique and stylish little get-up. Pairing up a silk blazer with casual ripped jeans. Matched my shoes to my purse, which I loooved! New by Remarkable Oblivion for Colabor88 this round and these are a 'Do Not Miss' on your list luvs! I don't know how RO does it but they never cease to amaze with their uniqueness, quality and detail. I tied the outfit all together with my hat/headphones which are also a Remarkable Oblivion creation for Uber. Super detailed and as you can see, quite versatile.

The hair I am in love with. Shi definitely needs to make me more hair, I simply cannot get enough. I love the wispyness of it. I love the sharpness of it. I love that it is unrigged and that I could customize it to fit perfectly under my hat. (No editing in PS!)

Introverts Unite! (Separately...In Our Own Homes)

Wanna know something kind of personal about me? I'm an Introvert and I'm proud! It actually took me a loooong time to say that and understand that it was okay to say that. I was told since I was a young girl that I shouldn't be 'antisocial'. It was wrong, it was bad, it was mean, it wasn't right, etc etc. I met someone not very long ago who laughed when I said I was antisocial. She said, "You are -NOT- antisocial! You're very social. I don't know who ever would tell you that BS but, they're wrong. You may chose to socialize with only a few people, you may be selective about those you socialize with. Being out in public drains you I bet?" I agreed. "Well honey, that's not antisocial, that's Introvert. Entirely different." So I explored this new word and I embraced it and it really helped me. I hadn't realized how upset it made me to think that I couldn't just go out and be a social butterfly like a lot of other people out there can, how much it made me look down on myself because of all the BS that had been drilled in my head about this for so many years.
I understand why I look forward to hanging out with....ME! I understand why when we go out shopping, or friends ask me to go 'hang out' with them, I come back home and feel this exhaustion. Like I have to recharge a battery. I very much value my 'Me' time. I love my small circle of friends and feel no need at all for an abundance of friends. My circle is small and secure and mostly family...but I am very social with them and they will tell you that. Texting, phone, visiting...whatever it may be, they hear from me often.
My pictures reminded me a lot of the real me and so I wanted to reveal that part of me. Funny how much poses can influence everything in my portraits. They breathe life into my pictures. A lot of times, that's why it takes me forever to blog things because...I can't simply stand in front of a wall, I love telling a story. I like you to see my pictures and wonder what exactly is going on. What was she doing, is she doing, or will she do?

I honestly believe...whole heartedly...that I am the biggest Joan Jett fan to ever exist. I know, I know...that is quite daring to say, as I know she has such a huge fan base but..I will be ballsy enough to say it! If there is a bit of Joan Jett memorabilia, I own it. If she's playing anywhere near me, I am there. If Joan Jett is performing YOU STAND UP! YOU DANCE! YOU SING ALONG! But hey, that's just me. I just adore this woman. Her lyrics, her talent on guitar, her dance moves, her attitude, just her as a person allll around! The woman is timeless. It's 2015 and I get goosebumps listening to her still and I doubt that will ever change. I've listened to her since I was a little girl and I still have the urge to jump around and get all wild, same as back then. 

Needless to say, when I saw this shirt by FK Designs I was just ecstatic! If I am blogging something, it is of course because it has inspired me in some way...but this look I have going on above is probably hands down one of Gia's favs. As a blogger, my look is forever changing, as eclectic as I am, so are my styles....hey, someone has to keep you all on your toes! But if I weren't a blogger, and I could just chill, this is probably a look you would see Gia in quite often if not almost always.  I'm surprised I don't see more of it. Maybe I am just not around the right places enough (and if you are around those places, feel free to nudge me and say "Hey Gia! Wtf, where have you been?!" The punk genre is one I have only in the past few years been exposed to, but one my heart seems to have bonded with right away. And you're not doing punk right if you don't have some FK on, I don't care what you say lol. So, having said that...this top came with one kick ass HUD...

2181 Days...

Our world is a vicious one and the fight is endless...and even when you think you've made it, you can finally relax, take that little breath and kick your feet up, there's always someone else there to knock you back on your ass. Welcome to reality. 

There is something to be thankful for though...and I really had to search for this one so, feel special. I think we've all read that Facebook picture that rolls across our feed several hundred times a day that says "Be Kind, For Everyone You Meet Is Fighting A Hard Battle", but look into it, think about it. It holds so much truth. Nobody knows what you or I are going through. I know, I can at least be thankful I've made it this far...since in this past year I've seen people who I thought to be far greater than I crumble under a battle I fight every single day. So hold your heads high, fight the battle, but be considerate. Be Thankful for what you have and for what you don't have...tomorrow is never promised. 

What is promised is that DRBC keeps me insanely busy! I'm like YEAH I can finally blog this! And here comes another release! Not complaining though! If I am busy so are you! All my sponsors keep me busy! The trench badassery I have on has literally DAYS left before it is out of Suicide Dollz so grab it before it's gone foreverrrr!!! (or until she puts it on the marketplace lol) And then keep your eyes locked on the next round of Suicide Dollz because it's a stunner! I'll try my damnedest to get right on it!

Vintage & Cool fair is one of the main SL events I have been waiting for so are you ready to take it all in? I'm only just beginning and I have so much to show!!

I love it because I get to pull out things already in the inventory and match them up with the new stuff to make one hell of a mash-up.

So the first look I decided to go with was a more rockabilly babe look, but the fair covers 'vintage' in general. From classic to rockabilly, psychobilly and I think I saw some 60's stuff as well! From hair, to skin, to shoes and clothes, accessories, you name it, it's there! Vintage inspired from the 20's to 60's era!

Before I go into the badassery I am wearing, lemme share my little adventure. I had ONE picture in mind for this outfit, that's all. So I was in search for the aerial hoop by Catnip....but Catnip is closed in world! *le sob* So I was looking all over the marketplace, went through it a few times because I was sure I had just looked over it or something but...NOTHING! And so I had finally let go of the search and was going to go with my last resort, a trapeze. But I took a chance and teleported to one last carnival themed sim and low and behold, right before my eyes in the perfect bloodied tent was the exact hoop I was in search of all morning!! I did a lil jig in my chair in celebration. Thanks so much to Cin, Trent & Krys for being super inviting, friendly and making a awesomely demented little sim to play in. It's obvious my photos were strongly influenced by the upcoming American Horror Story: Freak Show which airs tomorrow! I'm SO excited! I have to be thankful right off the bat to my good friends Dizzy and Anika. They were taking no arguments and forced me to catch up with them, as Coven was already at its end by the time I got into this show. Let me tell you...if you're like me, and didn't get into it after the first episode of season 1...try it again. Force yourself to make it through at least the first 3-4 episodes and then give your opinion. The show is amazing! I'm so excited for what lies in store for us this season. I expect only the best!

I am wearing amazingness from head to toe. Everything I have on is snag worthy to the utmost level! My top hat is by Swagga and a piece of art is what it is. It comes with a HUD so can be this shade of black, white or brown. Corset by my hearts fav, DRBC and many more of these corsets in a multitude of prints are available at Suicide Dollz right now! The collar is by FK! Designs and was a perfect addition for my freakyness with its Cthulhu emblem. The skin was basically a freebie! I say basically because it's a group gift and the group wasn't free but is NOT expensive. It came with appliers and was perfect for my creepy lil heart. I will be using it again soon that's for sure.

There is something about Autumn. All of everything about it. The smell, the colors, the feeling. I love it! By far my favorite season.  Spirits always seem to be lifted. It seems to take a lot to bring me down during this time of year. 

I have a dear friend in my real life who will text me bright and early in the morning and say something like, 'Hey woman! You wanna have coffee with me?" which usually means us sitting on the porch and sipping lovely coffee while chatting/bitching about randomness. In all honesty, I avoid this as much as possible during the summer. I can't stand the heat or the bugs...but during this time of year, I make every effort to have the coffee ready to go by the time she sends the text. I do live for mornings like this. When the coffee is perfect, I'm relaxed and dressed and I can just lounge and enjoy the sweet Autumn morning.

Just Got Wicked

This round of We <3 RP is open and I think (personally of course) Arcadia steals the round! There were many things that caught my eye and I snagged a good few (including the bracers I am wearing! Go go Random Matter with your bad self!) So many different storylines that came at me with this dress. I thought of an assassin type photo and then I wanted a demonic photo and then I decided to dig back in my roots and lift my hands to the moon! But I had to show you some more awesomeness from Twisted Hunt Fall. The bottom photo pose and demonic conjuring circle are separate prizes that work together. You'll want to snag them both!
Although this dress comes in a variety of colors, this so happened to be my favorite. The hood conceals part of your face and makes for a very ominous looking character. Don't miss this one at We <3 RP!!

It's no secret I am a Gamer. 100%. In and out of SL, in other worlds, many worlds. You will find me in Guild Wars and Guilds Wars 2, many many Steam games and games that are no longer even available. Although I started on console, my heart was won over by PC Gaming. I know the age old argument of PC gaming vs. Console...in the end, we both simply have a love for gaming and we're all simply that...GAMERS!

One of my favorite genres is of course, Zombie Apocalypse type FPS, or in gamer speak...First Person Shooters (not frames per second this time kids!). Left 4 Dead so won me over and is one of those games I just never ever get tired of playing, Left 4 Dead 2 too of course.

Since Arcade is right around the corner, LITERALLY!!! It starts tomorrow and I am super excited!! When Death Row Designs is participating, I just get overly excited and then of course, Jaimy and her sister Eowyn are on top of the Gamer genre with these awesome accessories! Must haves people, MUST HAVES! When I went to Missing Mile to take these photos, I was approached by several people on where I got stuff from and it just made me all smiley. Arcade, arcade, arcade. Get there and grab it all. 

My outfit couldn't have been completed with out a lil Sn@tch. It's been too long since Sn@tch has visited the blog. Nobody complains about getting more Sn@tch! The shirt came in so many variations. Bloody, greasy, dirty. SO many ways to rock it out and the shorts are super cute! They come with an awesome belt that fits it perfectly (not featured) and they also came in a variety of prints. Hello luvs! Although I usually start my blogs off with a lil rant about the badassery I am wearing or a storyline, I am going to do this one a lil different (although, look at the badassery I am wearing!). I wanted to talk about a topic that has bothered me for quite some time. I'm generally a quiet person. My circle of friends in SL is very very small. After being here for so many years, it has just been my personal learning experience to keep it that way. 

So my little rant is on blogger friendliness, mostly towards each other. When I started my little adventure into the bloggy world, I made a great friend. She warned me of jealousy, accusations, and backstabbing that happens amongst bloggers. I kind of giggled and just made a small mental note. As time passed (not too much time even) a lot of that stuff started showing. Not really towards me but I noticed others commenting rudely on photos or adding their two cents here and there on style, etc. 

I find it saddening that it's so hard to simply find people that empower you (and in RL too). Why can't we support one another and share blog posts? Be encouraged and encourage others? If someone is inspired by your style and they use it to inspire a look of their own, can you not be excited about someone finding the things you love interesting as well? And can that person take a moment to give credit where credit is due and say 'Thanks to 'so&so' for sparking my interest!'. We can do these things. 

I have been blessed to encounter a few bloggers on my journey that have proved that stereotype of mean bloggers to be very wrong. They've helped me, encouraged me, inspired me. If I am trying to find a place to shoot a picture, need an honest opinion, need landmarks, tips on editing a picture, ANYTHING!, they're polite, helpful, always. 

One of those ladies is in that top photo with me, yes she gladly went out of her way to let me suck her dry! I love my Kuppy so much and am very proud of how far she's come in her blogging. I'm inspired by her love for it all, her stylings and I adore her for being the friend she is. 

Anika, Purz,  Aarya, & Vita (luff my Vita!) are also other fellow bloggers that I simply adore for being their awesome selves and great friends. Anika is my partner in crime and preferred pain in the ass though lol. She's the one I spend most of my time with, get in trouble with and laugh with. SL wouldn't be complete without her. 

In closing, to my fellow bloggers...encourage, share, and inspire one another. No BS, no accusations, none of that is needed. What it boils down to is all of us basically doing the same thing. Take a pretty picture, share your awesome stylings and brighten someones Second Life. <3

Oh Black Fashion Fair...why must you own my heart like so?! Last year I fell in love with this lil event (not that lil) because it revolves around the color black...and c'mon kids, what does Gia love? Black with a side of blacker! People might get tired of seeing, people may feel it's over used...but get used to that in Gia's World! It's a versatile and dramatic color that I love with all of my gothy lil black soul!

I was thrilled to find that my good friend and sponsor Bcreative, owner of Dark Passions, would be participating in the event. My nails are already pretty much exclusively done by Dark Passions and in case you dont know...she is including more and more mesh clothing to her shop and I am loving it! With her insanely unique and detailed nail designs, we can all only imagine where this is going to go with clothing. I am excited! 

Although her top seemed to call for a deadly gothy vixen type look, I decided to whip it around and match it up with this elegant dress I found at The Black Fashion Fair. It turned out to be a pleasant lil mix of goth vixen and elegance. I wore this one to Bcreative's RezDay party. She's an oldie here in SL, 10 years! And it shows in her character. No drama, no BS, just a straight forward woman who has grown on me in a very short amount of time. I <3 you B!

Also had to love on some Mystic Canvass skin because it's been awhile since she's been in Gia's World and she has been missed! Can't wait for new goodies from her creative mind as well!

I was so in a old school R&B mood today. I don't ever hide the fact that I am eclectic when it comes to my music. I am glad I am. Closing down to one specific genre will only keep you from experiencing music that is amazing. Old school, not too old mind you! I'm saying like 90's r&b was simply put, the shit! So it did infact inspire my post. 

This is another one of my favs from the A6D event. While I don't favor the short short skirts too much, this one had a whole other vibe to it with the hoodie and the dangling black and white chess pattern. So while it revealed a whole lot, I still felt very much in my comfort zone because of the hoodie! Haha, maybe that's just my safe blankie.

MV just so happened to drop these shoes as I was getting ready to shoot this outfit and I simply had to show them. Super sexy but edgy and come in a ton of different colors so you can wear them with anything. Of course, for slink feet!

So mini rant about 'Fifty Shades of Grey". I did in fact read the first book. I fought to make it through it though. I tried to read the second and maybe got a chapter or so in and called it quits. I was not impressed. Firstly, the thing that bothered me the most was the fact that it was soooo unrealistic! Perfect man, perfect house, car, jet, etc. Ridiculous! Oh, lets not forget he is the CEO of his company at like what? 23? 26?

And her, the typical "I'm ugly because I wear glasses" type of girl. One who pouts and consistently bites her lip and is insecure and who eventually turns into a sex fiend for Mr. Perfect. I suppose it was entertainment for those that need to read sexcapade after sexcapade. Now that's not saying I don't enjoy such things, I'm far from being prudish but, I need a storyline. I need more than just constant sex scenes. That pizza man walking the door better have a darn good reason. *snickers*

Also, I don't like that so many people have linked it to S&M. A person that honestly understands S&M knows that their version of S&M in the book, was not even close. Okay, okay, I could rant for days but I will end it simply with, I don't like it, I'm not anticipating the movie. /endrant.

So, I have a happy mixture of Zibska and A6D, which is still going! I do so hope you've all been there and snagged just everything!

My shoulder armor and collar were some of my favs in the event! And they pretty much rounded out how I wanted to wear them and in what style. They demand such authority and so I thought I should demand it as well. 

I had a blast shooting the outfit at Immersiva. It's another sim I hope everyone has went to by now and enjoyed. Visually it is stunning and the storyline is awesome! (Far better than Fifty Shades! lol)

Oh and the song at the end about melted my heart. Anyway, go visit, enjoy it and let me know how much you loved it!

I posted some important notes about A6D in the previous blog but real quick, don't forget when you buy an item for the event, you get a HUD. Wear it and go to that designers mainstore for a discount on the second half of the item! It's an all around win win with awesome creations at a discounted price!
