In my last post, I talked a bit about venturing away from fashion in my blog and exploring other things more. I don't and won't leave fashion behind, I love it too much. However, there are times when I would just like to express myself in photography. Not share all the links to all the things.
If I don't link it, and you want it or are curious about it, please feel free to leave a comment here or on my Facebook page and I will respond as soon as possible.
I took this picture awhile ago, when I started falling into that rut I talked about in the previous post. This represents a lot for me, both in RL and in SL. This is how I felt at that time. Don't worry though, Don't worry! I feel so much better. It's a battle to get out of something like that but that cliche saying, that over used saying "There's nowhere to go but up once you hit rock bottom!", it's very true.
This is the first of many little artsy posts so do enjoy it! I know I am going to love this side of Gia's World and I hope you do too!

One of the challenges that was proposed to us in the SL Bloggers group during the Skin Fair Event, was to take on a skin from a creator that you weren't familiar with. This was actually hard for me to do for many reasons. So after like my sixth time back, a friend of mine pointed out this booth with Zoul skins and I tried on demo's and I loved them. My friends eye for skin was right!
I love the detail and the highlights on the skin. The eyebrows were another fav on these skins as well. The body applier I was given was for the EVE mesh body, which I don't own and hadn't even heard of but I did find Omega appliers in the main store and so I used my skin on my Maitreya body instead, still gorgeous as ever and rather flawless! The tones are very rich in color, with two exclusives available, one being soft and the other being more on the dramatic side but both absolutely gorgeous! I made some gifs so you can see some flashy stuff and see the different shades of Zoul!
This one is called 'Gina' and was the one I liked first. It is softer, eyebrows and highlights as you can see...
The second one is called 'Della' and is the one that is a bit more dramatic. The eyebrows are more defined and I loved that!
So glad I decided to go ahead and give an unfamiliar skin a shot. If you are not familiar with Zoul,, now would be a great time to head over to Skin Fair and grab some demos and fall in love with it yourself!
This is kind of like my 'coming out' party lol. I am forever worried about posting nude stuff and always find lil ways to hide it, editing or poses, etc but this time, with this picture...I felt it just needed to be. So, let me say sorry not sorry for the bewbs! I very much enjoyed being one with nature and connecting with my roots, even if it was in a game. Hell, I had the music going and everything, it was good!
I've wanted to do a picture like this for awhile so I am glad the Plastik made the perfect creepy like skin to make this happen!
Ugh, I simply can't say enough good things about the Plastik. Vae, owner of the shop, has always been super awesome when it comes to creativity and detail with her skins. There simply are none other like this at the Skin Fair so of course you know I am going to feature it!
It comes in several different shades which I will show you below, and allll of the appliers, it also includes a slink nail applier for each shade of skin. Making your nails match right up with your skin tone easily. Eyes are available as well and don't forget to snag her gift that is there. Super awesome slink polish set.
This skin is a MUST HAVE for my fellow goths, roleplayers, fantasy lovers, all around dark personalities! Go try the demos, you will not be disappointed!
Although I had fun making my picture pretty, I don't mess with the skin itself in my pictures. I do fix the shape of my lips and nose if I HAVE to, because I hate when SL windlights make them look funky. That shouldn't be blamed on the skin creator. I used a high pass filter over this pic in order to let the veins in the skin be more visible, as the lighting I used kind of lightened it all up.
However...the different shades featured below are unedited so if you wanna nitpick, have at it there! You will get what you see in any case! <3
Okay, go play grabby and I will see you again soon!!
So this post was due SO long ago but let me tell you of my struggles! It got real! How hard is it to find a gothy guy in Second Life?! Well I am sure we walk past a ton of them daily while on our shopping sprees but for some reason, they were evading me! *insert mean face here*
So I had to hunt one down. Thankfully, my fellow blogger friend Dev jumped on board for this awesome adventure with me! It is quite difficult to find Victorian goth clothes in SL that has been updated to our classy mesh stuff. Most of is is outdated and flexi. Lets fix this! If you read my previous blog, well you know my rant on the goth issues lol. So glad Dev has quite the wardrobe himself and was able to put an Phantom-esqe ensemble together. So hauntingly gorgeous! He did his job well in putting me in the mood for the photo session!
I was lucky enough to be able to see this on stage many years ago and I was just...jaw on the floor the whole time. I have been in love with this ever since then. I fell in love with Andrew Lloyd Webber and his insane talent and also Sarah Brightman and her gorgeous voice! When I saw the movie, I wasn't a hater...I just fell in love with it even more...and fell in love with Gerard Butler! Lol.
Death Row Designs is just hands down one of Gia's World's all time favorites, EVER! Jaimy now works side by side with her sister (Eowyn) and her partner in crime (Tito) and the three of them together seem to be a team of badassery! I will have to try and steal Jaimy for a moment and get her to give Gia's World a mini interview sometime, see if we can get some DRD behind the scenes info!
I was just amazed with the 'Phantom Lair' set available at the Oh My Gacha event. Yes, this event has been open for a bit, I'm late but look at it like this..at least you dont have to fight the masses to get in now! Lol and you still have 11 days left. Utilize those days well because this is definitely a set you will want. Especially my fellow Goths who love their candles and red velvet throws and whatnot. I hope I'm so late that you've already collected this WHOLE DAMN THING! It's just so stunning!
There's a total of 19 pieces to collect. The Bed, the Boat and the couch have over a hundred animations including.. cover your virgin eyes now....rated X animations! Animated Organ and the pile of trunks are animated as well.
Impeccable detail, exceptional quality and likeliness to what was in the actual movie will make you NEED these! Prepare your Phantom play list and wardrobes and get lost in this stuff, believe me, I did!
To see what Dev has on, head over to his blog and check it out!

It certainly isn't a surprise that I have a passion for my vintage fashion, styles, music, etc...that also includes Burlesque! When Burlesque is done right, oh my goodness, it is simply the sexiest thing ever. The dark side of me had to add a lil splash of macabre to my burlesque. Eudora's newest release at Uber was my inspiration for the shot. There is a top available for this outfit but I needed to add my lil skelly hands.Yes, they were dying to get their hands on me! <3
Now mind you, in case you are wondering...my stocking is obviously edited in photoshop! I was terrified to mess with that. After several tries though, I was happy with the turn out. the stockings are from a place I recently came across but will definitely be a constant in Gia's World, especially since she is in the process of making her store Maitreya and Omega friendly! \o/
When it comes to Burlesque, I don't know...there was always something about the stocking play that I found to be exceptionally sexeh! I don't have a foot fetish (do I? Lol) But I love that the women use such technique to tuck the stocking between their toes to tease you as they tug it off their leg and hold it between their toes playfully before slinging it off, so that look in my eye in this pic, yeah, that's exactly what it's about!
But okay, I wont be a chatter box today! I will see you all soon though! *smoooch!*

Oh yes yes, I had another chance to do a collab with my loverly Anika...and I simply cannot say no to her! Especially while wearing such an adorbs lil coat. DRBC is in this round of Suicide Dollz so if you haven't been there to grab all the things, make sure to head over there and make it happen!
A friend took me out to dinner and a movie the other night and even though I had told her I heard the movie 'Into The Woods' wasn't so great, we went anyway...and it wasn't so great, not horrible though! Maybe it was just me, maybe it will be great for some people. I don't really take anybody's reviews into consideration, maybe you shouldn't either. All I am saying is that I kept falling asleep. I found the storyline to be boring, although they mashed up the fairy tales into one musical...I just couldn't get into it. That's NOT to say I don't like musicals either because I do, that one just didn't make the cut. If you decide to see it though, make sure to pay attention to Jack from Jack and the Beanstalk. I probably was more impressed by his lil performance. It definitely doesn't surprise me that he has been in other stage performances he's quite talented! Of course Meryl never fails either. I know the story has a great following and maybe the people that have had a chance to experience it live have a greater appreciation for it than we do, in any case, although all talented and great performances, it just wasn't for me.
But Back in SL---> There's a ton of events that opened and some just opening so Gia's World is a busy place right now! Eyes locked here loves, I will be back shortly!
Please visit Anika's Blog to see her hotness...and also to see what she is wearing! (If it's not posted yet, just wait longer :P)

Fameshed is open! Did everyone else bum-rush it like I did?! Okay good! I didn't want to feel alone in the struggle lol. Seriously though. I always tell myself I will wait for several days before going to an event. Because the flood of people is soooo bad. Causes lag. Of course there's the people who wear 6186688 attachments plus of course they have to bring their pets and whatnot and hey, it's your SL...but just know you're probably annoying several people when you do that at events! I rarely hop in an event in full attire, I'm mostly nude..just kidding! I'm usually in full on body alpha (so kind of nude right?)
However, there are some things I will fight the masses for. I saw these heels by Remarkable Oblivion and I admit that...I will willing to bum-rush Fameshed to get my hands on these babies! Such a super unique style and in typical RO form, excellent quality and texture at a price that just makes it easy to grab them all...plus there is a Fatpack available so even easier! Cuz you cannot pick one color. Versatility is so very much appreciated in my wardrobe because you will almost never see Gia dressed in the same style of clothing. I am gothy today, maybe not so much tomorrow, cyber Mondays, Black on Wednesdays, Freestyle Fridays...I dont really go by that, I am just saying, the randomness is there so if I find an article of clothing that can be dressed up or down, I hold it dear to my pixelated heart.
Here's some more colors I snagged, 4 available total..just fatpack it, believe me.
One of the lil quirks I have with Second Life photos, especially during these winter months is that it seems like...nobody cares that their avatar is standing out in the middle of winter...in lingerie (for example!). I personally like to layout a storyline for my photos...and I know, that's just MY personal preference and not everyone has to do that. That's just fine. But if you're standing in the snow butt ass nekkid, I would like to know why. So I sat on this photo for a minute for that exact issue. I had to ask myself if I would take a stroll if the winter chill would nip at my bare shoulders and legs...depending on the situation...yes. Have you ever been so angry that you don't feel the weather? The sting of the winter wind on your face is nothing in comparison to the feeling that is completely engulfing you.
I loved this dress by Skindustrial Bodyworks. It is available in several colors just in time for dances, parties, gatherings, date nights around this holiday season so make sure to grab them all!
In typical Gia fashion, I am getting this post out way later than anticipated, though I've had this picture (or one similar to it!) in mind since I saw these heels. I honestly do let my wardrobe inspire me. I wouldn't know how to pull this sort of thing off otherwise.
By now I am SURE everyone has been to Uber but I hope you've made sure to grab Eudora's awesome heels that are there or their items that you see anywhere because if you see Eudora, you're guaranteed some of the best quality on the grid. These heels are so very feminine and with the HUD that they come with, they give you a plethora of fashion options to dress them up or down, this is just the way they inspired me.
I mashed them up with some goodies from other events and had a ball trying to find just the right place for my picture. What?! Is nobody else in SL obsessed with Versailles like me? Geeeze.
Anyway, Gia's World is going to be super busy so I'm chopping the pics! I shall give you an eye full in one pic, I promise <3 With Gothmas By Gaslight around the corner and some super busy sponsors, I bounce in anticipation! So see you all in a few! *le smooooch*
I know I have some fellow Twiggy fans as Gia's World followers, I have to! Who doesn't love Twiggy? I remember finding a magazine at a family friends house. She collected things from that era. There was a whole spread on Twiggy and I found her absolutely adorable. With her small frame and pixie style haircut, wide eyes and untouchable style, she definitely made an impression.
So as Vintage & Cool continues, and the celebration of all that is Vintage & Cool is continuously celebrated in Gia's World, I thought I would make a post in dedication to one of the icons of the 60's.
I do know that SyS have to be Twiggy fans since they made this outfit for Vintage & Cool and named it after her. It also included a set of bug-eyed glasses that I thought were super cute!
I loved using the vibrant colors often used in the 60's era. I love my gloomy pics but this was a completely different thing for me to do.
I won't keep you though. Make sure to make your way there, if you haven't been to Vintage & Cool already, enjoy the view and make sure to snag all the things that are Vintage & Cool! <3
We're in our last days of a Clockwork Spiral and I feel like I've only given you a lil peek into what is available. I hope you've all been able to hop over and take a look around and grab a few things.
Although DRBC's main steamcraft dress was a hit amongst the awesome releases there, another dress by DRBC is available as well and I adore it so! With it's elegant but dark style, it reminded me of a steampunk Lolita kind of look and this is what inspired my photo, along with the awesome and hidden little corner at Flagship that I've had my eye on for awhile.
I look for places like that. People in SL amaze me with their creativity and ability to take just a lil corner of the grid and make it into something adorable, eye catching, peaceful. If you know of places like this, always feel free to nudge me and send me SLurls. Besides my passion for SL Photography, I also enjoy traveling here and there and just seeing what people are doing with their world.
Keeping it kinda short this time to try and show you more pretties!

I've loved the Small Town Green sim for awhile now. There are little spots all over the place to capture a great moment in SL or just to sit and lounge in. This hidden and overgrown railroad track is one of my favorite little spots. Although it doesn't have build turned on, it's still a great place for bloggers/photographers etc who enjoy their outdoorsy pics.
I knew -just- where I wanted to take this photo and I knew just want I wanted to pair up my featured item with! I am featuring Death Row Designs at A Secret Affair. The Secret Affair this round was amazing! My compliments to all parties involved. My lindens were flailed all over the place! If you haven't been there, make sure to pay it a visit and grab this gorgeous armor by DRD!
As for my hair, don't you love it?! Ugh Moon! Both of the Moon hairs available at N21 are out of this Slworld Amazing! At least in my personal opinion. You will definitely want them both! I am crossing my fingers in hopes that only more curly hairs will come to our SL, preferably ones without flex! Not that I have anything against it myself, what you wear is your business. After all, this is YOUR SL and nobody can dress up your doll except you. I simply don't miss it going into my body whenever I move =)
Okay okay, I got so much more to show you and don't be surprised if you see this hair and the curly hair blogged several thousand times. I can't seem to get enough of them!

What a cute lil Jazz hangout I found here! Thankfully it was empty and I was able to snag a few shots.
My dearest Rhapsody event is coming to an end *insert tear here!*. But I had to fit in a jazz post as to avoid the Axeman's wrath. ....Did I lose you with that one? American Horror Story fans unite! If you're a fan, you know exactly what I am talking about. I just finished AHS: Coven and I so loved it.
If you haven't hooked yourself on it, please do so. You won't regret it. Unless you're one of those oddballs that doesn't like horror. Yes, that makes -you- the oddball and not me. I dunno, I just feel we have a lot worse things that we have to face in our day to day lives than be worried about a ghost (or other paranormal things) on film. But that's just me, and I love my horror! The Axeman though...was real. Not to glorify any kind of being that can do such things but I usually find their stories interesting.
This is Sakide for Rhapsody and the outfit was totally gorgeous. Elegant, fanciful, classy,...shall I continue? I would so wear it out for a night of some eargasmic Jazz.
Two days left to get to Rhapsody before it all closes down. Also the views in the place are quite interesting, if you haven't been there to see it.
2 days!
Be back soon my luff & stuffs <3! Oh but let me leave you with this...
"Now, to be exact, at 12:15 (earthly time) on next Tuesday night, I am
going to pass over New Orleans. In my infinite mercy, I am going to
make a little proposition to you people. Here it is: I am very fond of jazz music, and I swear by all the devils in the
nether regions that every person shall be spared in whose home a jazz
band is in full swing at the time I have just mentioned. If everyone has
a jazz band going, well, then, so much the better for you people. One
thing is certain and that is that some of your people who do not jazz it
on Tuesday night (if there be any) will get the axe." -Actual excerpt from the real Axeman's most famous letter.

I won't even begin to pretend that I know that much about Madame Bovary or her story. Sadly enough, as much of a book worm that I am, I haven't read it. As I've said in another post though, I don't like to go into anything blind so I did look her up and watched a few videos on YouTube and I am really intrigued with the book! It will definitely be on my list of 'novels I have yet to conquer'.
It was a bit of a challenge putting the look together, especially because of the hair! Why is finding this type of hair so hard to find in our Second Life? I think designers are so centered on the here and now, current styles that are 'popular' or mainstream and so that is mostly what we see. Similar hairstyles being made over and over again. Our Second Life, at least in my personal opinion, should be diverse. We should be able to jump from look to look, style to style, century to century and have tons of options. I don't have the skill it takes to be any sort of creator in SL right now, but if I did...my shop would be like my blog. Meaning, you might see current styles on one corner of the store and vintage 50's next door to it and then right next to that, 19th century hair, etc...etc. Possibilities in SL are endless and I so wish creators would venture out more. Now, that's not to say that none do!
As you can see, Aliza Karu is very diverse with her creations. I've been able to purchase goth clothing and then this lovely homage to Madame Bovary all under one roof. Horns, Unique Hats...a wide variety of items you're sure to love as much as I do.
I ended up finding my hair in a curious lil shop I adore, Curio Obscura of course! So many other things and hairstyles from that place that I have yet to collect.
Back to work I go! See you soon luvs <3

Although many photos were taken of this outfit/costume/etc...I decided to stop with this one. I had a dress on her first but decided not. Because I find the story of Medusa absolutely intriguing, I decided to do my own little take on it.
Elska is participating in the Greek Mythology Event and released two gorgeous tattoos. The one on my chest in the photo is called 'The Gorgon" and of course was my inspiration for the photo. The owner of Elska and I seem to have the same idea in mind that Medusa wasn't only a serpent haired woman, she had far more to her than what most envision.
I know her story in many forms but there is a paragraph in the wiki that says, "In a late version of the Medusa myth, related by the Roman poet Ovid (Metamorphoses 4.770), Medusa was originally a ravishingly beautiful maiden, "the jealous aspiration of many suitors," but because Poseidon had raped her in Athena's
temple, the enraged Athena transformed Medusa's beautiful hair to
serpents and made her face so terrible to behold that the mere sight of
it would turn onlookers to stone."
My ode to a long known character that I have loved since I was a child and met her in 'Clash of the Titans' (the original version of course!).
You might be frightened to look upon her because you don't understand her or the pain she suffered...but don't worry, she will force you to feel her pain and suffering. "Do Unto Others, What Has Been Done to You..."
Seraphim Social is open! The These is 'Gone With the Wind' so of course I had to go and make my rounds. Especially since some of Gia's favs are there. I didn't quite expect to fall in love with this gown by Sakide but when I saw it...the pattern was so delicate and the gown looked so free flowing and gentle, like one you would wear while out enjoying a nice summer breezy kinda day and when a outfit makes my imagination go like that it = SOLD! It comes in multiple sizes and includes the hat shown in the photo.
Then I made a stop at Le'Accessoires because when that opens, everyone should stop there. I've ended up snagging a few things each round since I first heard about it. Azoury is participating again and with that adorbs brolly! I have a certain love for umbrellas...and even more so for lacey ones or odd ones! With its green and naturistic vibe, I had to pair it with my flowey dress for a walk.
Hope you have fun making your rounds there, if you haven't already! I will see you again shortly luvs!
Oh what is it about this movie that captures us so?! It has an insane following and has since its release. Audrey is incredibly stunning and charming throughout the movie. Every time I've watched it, I can't seem to take my eyes off of her. From her wardrobe, quirkiness, even her movements and the way she so casually is enjoying a nice cup of java in the morning while enjoying the view window shopping at Tiffany's in the opening scene.
So Dead Dollz...another one of Gia's favorite shops in SL, gave us this little black dress as a group gift and an opportunity to show our stuff with our best Audrey stylings...how could I resist? An opportunity to finally blog a shop I love AND join a contest!
Yes yes...I promise to blog more Dead Dollz. Pretty soon again actually *winks*.
If you haven't joined the Dead Dollz VIP group....you'll definitely want to! Besides this dress, another little lingerie number was released WITH an appliers HUD, (Wowmeh friendly by the way!)
Hop over to the mainstore (which I'll link below) and click on the VIP group joiner to take advantage of these awesome gifts!
This was one of the beauty's that I've been wanting to show you. It took me awhile to blog it because the outfit is just so perfect to me and I had a vision in mind and I couldn't simply blog it, I had to wait till I got the vision right. Something so deadly, bloody, evil...but just too beautiful to kill.
You guess who released it, c'mon, I'll wait......that's right! Boudoir! One of the newer ones anyway since they are releasing awesome things back to back here! I just can't keep up with the amazing things. With my preference for all that is dark and macabre, I fell in love with this one. The head piece and staff are beyond words breathtaking. Two staffs mind you. One to carry on your back, or one that is to be held in your hand.
More Boudoir love from me coming soon!
