Real life still has me super busy right now but my blog is always on my mind. I can be at work, thankfully we're allowed to use Ipods, so I will have my music on and it brings to mind so many pics I would love to take for the blog or even just for Flickr. As all residents of Gia's World know, I can never get enough of DRBC! This little outfit was released for Erotigacha. I was away during that time so I didn't have a chance to show it off but it couldn't sit there without recognition in Gia's World! I know a lot of you would love it as much as I did. There are several different print options available that you will definitely want!
Whenever I can flaunt my 'Witchy' wardrobe in SL or in RL, I am all for it and this is surely one you will want in your collection too.

Sugar & Spice {Lolita Fashion}

Hey dolls!
So I had a chance to get my hands on something I don't usually do, or haven't done in a long while I should say! Way back in my first SL days, I loved wearing the Gothy Lolita look and then I became selfish with allll the looks! So I had a blast with this outfit.
Although this isn't a style for everyone, it's a style I find to be super cute! There are so many ways to enjoy it too. With  just a switch up of hair colors and lip gloss, I made it all cutesy but it wouldn't have been hard at all to spin this into a Goth Lolita look instead of Sweet Lolita.
The newly released dresses by DRBC made it quite easy for me! With so many options, I was so undecided on which to play with first! It ranges from Sweet to Goth with an option to even go Classic Lolita so play with allll of them. For my fellow lovers of this fashion, you will want these in ever print, yes they ARE that much fun!
My incredibly gorgeous shoes are by the awesome FK Designs. These are also available in a plethora of prints for you to mix and match to your lil hearts content. These are for Slink High feet and also come with a Belleza high feet pair too. My dear Belleza, which I am finding myself wearing more and more!

"I'm Taking Control, I'll Assimilate Your Soul, I Will Rule Your Mind..."

I am sure you have all heard me many times go on my lil rants about how Goth in SL needs to 'evolve'...by saying that, I am usually talking about the flexi that has stayed in a lot of the clothes, system clothes (although when done right with appliers can be great!).
Also thinking outside of the box. In EVERY genre, not only Goth...the best thing we can do is put things together because WE like it. Because it feels and looks great to YOU. Regardless if some asshole is sitting there telling you how crappy it looks, how they don't like it, how they would never wear it, how it looks ridiculous, etc etc. That is THEIR point of view and not yours. You will find that they often wear things that you just shake your head at and wonder what the hell they were thinking when they put that together. It's all about perspective and everyone has a different one. What I wish is that more people were aware at just how rude they are when voicing theirs. Not everyone has to agree with your perspective, and you cannot force them to. What you will end up doing, if that person is like me, is pushing them away. So...careful of your words. Honest opinions are always a good things but never force your personal style/views etc. on anyone.
One of my recent obsessions has been a newer blogger named Judas. Of course he's sexy, Do I have to point that out? That's obvious but far beyond that is his sense of style. Quite honestly, it's like one I have not seen before. It's edgy, it's goth and sometimes not, it's Androgynous and sometimes not, it's unique, it's incredibly sexy....quite simply put, I can't think of a better person who's claws I'd rather have on my bewbage than his! He's not afraid to wear guyliner, nail polish and heels...I just adore it! So, love all over his blog, as it is male AND female friendly!  <3 your Judas! You can put your claws on me any day! I totally let my vibe this past Sunday inspire my picture here. I wasn't sure how I wanted to blog this all but...It was such a gray day,  it was gorgeous. The windows were open and the threat of rain had the wind running rampant, cleansing my house in the process. My candles were flickering and through it all, I had Stevie Nicks singing sweetly. Honestly, I haven't felt that sort of magic in a long time and it felt quite lovely. 

I absolutely fell in love with these little dresses that DRBC released for Suicide Dollz! They come in several different colors (HUD), several different rich colors I should say. I'm not used to seeing those colors in DRBC but she pulls it all off flawlessly! This was like the perfect springtime dress and I don't care if you wanna be all witchery with it or not, the colors let you decide how you will wear it.

Though I thought of wearing shoes...I just couldn't. I was feeling nature in all its glory in my real life and it passed right through to my SL.

I apologize for my mini break. With the holiday this weekend, work was insanely hectic but...on a good note, I was able to get some photos taken for more posts because of the long weekend. So I will be back soon, and with company! (hint hint!)

Lemme Show You How I 'Goth' {World Goth Fair 2015}

We are like what...2 days into World Goth Fair! Have you invaded it yet?! Hells, I was allll over it days before it opened, but special blogger stuffs and all, we're allowed to so there! So I was able to see a lot of the awesomeness though a lot of the shops weren't set up yet so I will have to swing by again later!

As I have mentioned before, RL has been super hectic for me so this was my first year in a few years that I decided to not be an official blogger for World Goth Fair. I didn't want to make any promises I couldn't keep. However, I figured I would blog what I could on my own dime and on my own time. I snagged several goodies.

So just to go over a few things. In previous years, World Goth Fair was a charity event for the Sophie Landcaster Foundation but due to complications that were outlined in the World Goth Fair blog post, it is no longer so. I know this saddened a few of us but I trust that Axi and Lokii know what is best for the event and for the Goth community in SL.

The month of May holds a grand day for us 'Goths'. World Goth Day is May 22nd. This is a day we let our freak flags fly a little higher than usual. A little prouder, a little more prominent. Enough to let the rest of the world know we're here, we're strange, we're dark, we're okay with it. Amongst all of it...don't forget we also love passionately and have feelings like all the rest.

I've went on many a rant about my views on goths and some of those in the scene feeling rather 'gothier than thou' so, I will spare you all. Just keep in mind that, like it was said in a picture I saw on Facebook, "Goth should be liberating, not confining". Are you Victorian Goth? Nu Goth? Bubble Goth? Industrial Goth? ....Whatever you are, I love all of your Gothiness, and that's simply how it should be! <3

Film Noir Fantasies

So I might've had just a lil too much fun with the pics for this blog but, what can I say? You already know me well enough. This always happens when I am having fun.
The DRD set available at 9th Republic is an Industrial set, still when all was said and done and I put myself in the pics (which I wasn't going to do at first!) it reminded me of something very film noir, which is something I love! So I edited my last one in a black and white version as a dedication to my love for all things film noir. All I needed was my criminal to come and find me!

The week has been a long and busy one for me but I am SO glad it's Friday! Finally!
I'm hoping to get a few posts in over the weekend but that's not a promise.
I wanted to thank my readers for being so patient with me. I have never been a 'bang it all out' blogger. My posts have always been spread out over a few days, but right now...that time has been even more so. RL has been super hectic and balancing that and the blog has been tough.
My blog is my creative outlet and my place to go on mini rants and my place to be free...and my place to be a chatterbox to the masses without disturbing the introvert inside me! So, again, thanks so much for your patience. I may not post everyday...but my heart is in everything I post <3

I have chatted you all up many a times about my mad obsession with music. I have a certain love for it. I'm eclectic...meaning I can jump from one Genre to the next quite easily. Wanna play a game? I so did say that in the creepy "Saw" voice! Okay, so I am using shuffle on my main Ipod, yes I have three in order to survive! My main point is that my music heavily inspires me! Sometimes I think that when I am on my death bed, if you put my headphones on me and crank the volume (make it Tool!), I will probably stand right up and take off running. Some of my music can bring me to tears in a moment, some of it is just mesmerizing! Do you have a song that can take you back to a certain moment in life? Songs that hold memories of sadness or great memories of happiness. I think music holds so much power....we simply just don't give it enough credit.

So having said that...may the power of music and all its badassery lead you to these awesome Remarkable Oblivion headphones at Fameshed. I kinda fell in love with them and they really inspired the pic and the whole vibe for this pic!

Elven Sanctuary {Fantasy Faire 2015}

With over $5 Million Linden raised so far for Relay for Life, Fantasy Faire has been ah-may-zin! I wish I had all the time in the world, there was certainly a whole lot more I would have loved to show you. I hope that you've all been there by now and had a good time participating in the events, shopping for a good cause and enjoying the incredible scenery.

Each sim is just so well put together, I seriously could take fantasy themed pictures there all day for several months and not get bored and have them all look different! 

So they gave us some blogger challenges and last year I took up a couple. I talked about the first time I heard of cancer. It is definitely something I will never forget. This years challenge, I thought I would tap into a little bit of the  roleplay side of me which is one I used to show a lot more in the beginning of Gia's World and not so much now as I am always feeling rushed between this and real life. SO...this blogger challenge states: Faire Folk- Create a character from the Fairelands. Pick one of the Faire sims as their home, make a look mostly from Faire items, make the character come alive. Take at least one picture of that character in the chosen home sim and blog away!

My character is Daneilea. Born of the Sylvan pride. Princess and heir to the throne. Great Priestess of Arcane Sorcery. Her days are filled with magick, music and love. The love she has for her family, her over protective father and brothers, the people of The Sylvan of Spells and her homeland.

Although I could get on for days about what Daneilea does with her time or how she uses her magick, I still have lots to show and so little time so! Moving forward...

Well hello again!

I hope you're all enjoying your week so far. Mine has been a busy one so I just keep repeating to myself that Friday isn't too far behind!

So, I recently got into watching "Sons of Anarchy" but like in a very hardcore kinda way. I watched a few episodes back when and it just didn't catch my attention. Some of my friends kept telling me to try again and so finally after several months I did. Right now, I love it...even though my crush is...no longer a part of the show *SIGH!*. So my new SOA obsession heavily inspired my picture, along with the Reverends song, which I will link below. Of course, DRBC had to show me these sexeh boots, I paired them up with a sexeh jacket from Dark Passions and felt ready to be an 'old lady', as they refer to their women in Sons of Anarchy. These kickass boots come in several different prints and I am sure you will see them again in the blog because, she made latex ones that are to die for! This jacket is a part of the Black Fashion Fair and is only out for 2 more days I think and then it's gone. GONE FOREVER! So run, run now while you have a chance!! I fell in love with the skin by AlterEgo. It is currently at Suicide Dollz, which I will also link below. It has a ton of lipstick options, the make up on it is nice and gothy looking and the detail on the skin is gorgeous. Make sure to grab a demo and give it a go!

Okay so yes, it took me a couple of days to finally blog all of this but oooooh my gosh! The amount of things that have taken my breath away at the Fantasy Faire...I just can't put into words. Admittedly, I was in fact overwhelmed. Like, where do you start with so much awesome? 

I love events in SL. But I love them even more when they serve a purpose.  If you're not sure what Fantasy Faire is about, please do inform yourself! Click on the link there and see why this event gives us all such a great reason to go shopping and snag some awesome things.

I was blown away with the Spires of Andolys sim, well all of the sims were lovely! This one has a  fairy tale theme going on. In my picture above, I am playing around in the Lost Boys hideout by DRD! Yep, no zombies or gore this round DRD lovers! It's all fairy tale stuff.

I was able to take a few pictures of some of the other things that caught my eye while there. So many awesome views so, I really do hope that you've went there to not only shop but enjoy the views!

Genre has already been open for awhile, I just took a bit to collab with myself! I love collabing with my blogger friends in SL but I do realize we all have things that keep us busy both in RL and in SL. We all have sponsors and events to keep up with. So, when I am searching for a partner from now on, I really have to just turn to myself. Less arguments happen. 

I was a bit inspired by 'Orphan Black' of course. Who doesn't love a nice clone war? Just when you thought one Gia was too much to handle I went and rawked your world!

The Things We Hide In The Attic

Wow, that was pretty much my reaction to allll of the TAG Gacha this round. Holy hell did they blow me away with the badassery. It has been awhile since I wanted to hug and smack so many designers for being so amazingly creative and then for stealing all my damn linden! UGH! But I loved it and had fun bouncing around place to place. So who all had issues realizing you had to touch the 'Tag Here' sign? Lol. I didn't! *coughs*. Hey, it was also 3am so there! I hope you all had as much fun as I did though. I already know everyone was snagging these amazing dolls by Remarkable Oblivion! I am SO sorry for my delay. My power supply decided to basically give me the middle finger just as I was having so much fun with Saviad and Pose Fair and alll the other things! Even though I ordered one the same night, it still took alll the way until today to arrive. While I was waiting though, I think I got hooked on a lil show called 'Sons of Anarchy'. Done with season 1 already and it's kinda awesome! Don't be surprised if biker pics start popping up all over the damn place in Gia's World!
So I am tossing in a quickie here that I had finished right before my power supply passed away. The awesome chair I am about to fall off of is by Infiniti, another ah-may-zin pose maker in SL. If you're not familiar with Infiniti, you definitely should be. I love the many different poses included in the chair and the many different ways you can play with it. Drama, sexy and everything else! This was just my lil spin on it. Thankfully, TfAtN sent me some purdy thangs to play with from the 'Create your own Tarot' event. “Create your own Tarot” is a series of Secondlife events exploring one theme of the Major Arcana cards in each month. Last months was 'The Fool' and this months is 'The Magician'. So clearly I didn't stay in theme, or maybe I did. Never can tell!

Did everyone already hit up Collabor88? Yas?! I was glad to see that it was 'Punk' themed and at the same time sad because as a good friend of mine said, "Punk is a way of life, not a style". I was also sad to see the LACK of Joan Jett! UGH Here, fail cards for everyone that missed it but yay for Nylon for including my woman!!

In any case though, regardless of the theme, there is always something I will want at Collabor88. I loved the Tableau hair, even though I hate the band it was named after haha. 

Of course Remarkable Oblivion is there with some absolutely gorgeous shoesies also a collar and earring set and once again I will say that the texture work for RO is just hands down some of the best damn work you will see on the grid!

I paired it all up with one of my sponsors who is also one of the only REAL 'punks' I know in SL and I so wish he could have been a part of that event. With some more amazing texturing and uniqueness, FK Designs is definitely a shop you will want to hit up.

I so enjoy being a lil eclectic thing! I can jump from dark to light in just a blink of an eye and I am glad I can. I am far too selfish with things to stay boxed in one genre of ANYthing!

I had to show you how I Psychobilly! Although this genre has long since been one I loved, it has really been hitting me right in the feel goooooods! It has taken over my ipod and I'm suddenly wanting to paint guys in skeleton make-up and toss a big bass at them and tell em' to get to it!! I really have my Dizzy (owner and HBIC at DRBC) to thank for it. The DRBC fashion line is inspiring in itself. It has even inspired my real life. I find myself trying my best to find things similar to it and sigh because Dizzy can't come and texture my real life clothes too (damnable) lol. My fav purse I tote around in my RL has DRBC's signature Creature Feature print on it and I love it so!
Dizzy also spins out some amazing Psychobilly tunage every other Friday at Retroville!
Believe me, for my Psychobilly readers...have your butts there! You won't want to miss it! Great place to hang out too and oh yeah, I'm usually there with pen and paper in hand. Why pen and paper you ask? I always take notes on the playlist because it is always a kickass learning experience! She will school you haha nobody does psychobilly like she does! Saviad starts soon, April 10th! The list of creators for this event has me so excited. They are definitely some of the most innovative and unique designers on the grid. "Gia..what is Saviad?!" you ask? Well...Saviad is an event where art meets fashion. It is a joint venture between three leading haute couture designers, Solidea Folies, Violator and AD Creations. Haute Couture isn't something that visits Gia's World too often but when it does, we love to go all out! I'm going to have a blast with this event!

It's been awhile since Boudoir has visited Gia's World so I am all too honored to be able to feature it for this event. What a gorgeous outfit and in typical Boudoir fashion, super unique, beautiful and inspiring. 

This is a designer who I allow to inspire my photos when blogging. MY interpretation of this outfit was Springs final release after being held captive by a harsh winter. Spring is full of innocence and rebirth and that was what I tried to capture here while showing this amazing piece of work by Boudoir.
